This did for the Riddler what Batman the Animated series did for Mr Freeze, giving him a far superior backstory that adds depth and tragedy to the character.
XD But to do it they made Freeze less sympathetic...he looks awesome and has the dreams of living in an ice kingdom, but I almost wished he still had his wife in mind since he kept the photo strip on the heist. If he had stolen all those diamonds and he came to find her, only for her to be in the midst of her health crisis or in a hospital and we see all that villainy shatter....would have been interesying.
I wasn't a fan of the Arkham series Riddler. His backstory in this cartoon will always be my favorite, because it actually makes sense and The Riddler himself isn't whiny and useless. He's actually threatening and cool.

It's sad that he was a nerd and he trusted in another nerd. And as a result his intentions got betrayed. He got done in by his own. That's the cruelty. Poor guy just wanted someone to understand him.
Poor riddler he was riddled by his own girlfriend 😂
Marie Morgan No. Just no
Fuck you bitch not cool not cool

THE ART OF MATSUDA & PERKINS IN THIS SHOW IS UNBELIEVABLE PERFECT
Jeff Matsuda is a KING of character design and animation, REALLY wished there was a Spider-man animated show in his iconic artwork for it.
The Batman’s Riddler is my favourite because he’s portrayed as a really serious man who loves mind games and is not joke-y and giggly like other Riddlers
This is like a twisted version of heart of ice. Scientist wants to change the world, has girlfriend troubles, get's fucked over, becomes a villain
She had it coming. I’m sorry it was because of her partly that he became the Riddler.
...When they're the victim.
The villain is not the villain when hes telling his own story
That’s the cruelty of revenge it blinds people so bad they can’t or realize that the one person who ruined his/or her life is someone they care about. Nygma loved Julie but she betrayed him and turned into a supervillain all for money if she’s in Arkham Asylum she better watch herself.
actually this is more accurate for a riddler story than we use to know
Gotham makes it so much more sad
They character designs are so different, so distinct….I love them. Joker, penguin, riddler. So different from how they’ve been designed over the years
I love how this “Full Story” left out why his partner betrayed him...no way that was important
XD Cash. Quite literally she backstabbed him for money because Ed refused to sell his inventions he wanted to do it for the good deed itself it seems...plus he hated gorman.
He looks like Kevin Eleven.
Same!
Eleven kevin
Isnt he called Kevin "Levin"?
@Victor Nieves oh ok, its been a while since i watched Ben 10
I feel bad for the boy for the abuse from his father and his betrayal from his ex girlfriend, Julia.
This is really poorly edited. Check out the original episode.
Yeah I had to dislike the video.
It was watchable

The villain is not THE villain
When there's someone worst than him.
I really like this version of the riddler. He still has much of the same ego and psychological issues but I like that he’s made sympathetic. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s voiced by Robert Englund.
I don’t like the voice acting or character design
@@FanAnimeandCartoons Fair Enough. He's not everybody's cup of tea.
"When is a villain, not THE villain."
Honestly wish Riddler and Cluemaster would've either teamed up or gotten into an intellectual pissing match while this show was airing. Probably would've been fun.
Batman: Oh, good grief, here we go again.
God I love those question mark sickles
Ms Kringle from Gotham looks a lot like Julie in from this episode.
I was thinking the same thing
The only thing I hate about the riddler is that he asks questions that are actually good that nobody can answer
My favorite Riddler in terms of visual design goes to his variant in Arkham City. But in terms of character? This guy, all the way.
This is a much more emotional origin story for Riddler, suits him perfectly.
doctor: Enigma, I diagnosed you with Ligma
Enigma (Riddler): what's Ligma
doctor: *I'm about to end this man's whole crime spree*
Samuel Glen Aceron now that’s a good one for the riddler

“What. My favorite word.”
That’s funny, millions of people would’ve thought his favorite word was “Riddle.” Lol
"I still don't see how I fit into this"
"You'll see"
ah yes, the episode where batman sinks to the bottom of the bay in an intermodal container with one of his villains, oxygen running out all the while. this one really stuck with me over the years.
Say what you will about The Riddler, but he always played fairly.
“If you are justice...please do not lie”
They have Freddy Krueger voicing the cartoon equivalent of Jigsaw
One part I wanna point out that wasn't in this compilation:
Riddler: "I thought you understood me!"
Julie: "I understood that you were a psychopath. One that would ruin any chance of success!"
Riddle me this, Julie. What has no weight, can be seen with normal eyes, and if you put it in a heart, it will make someone die on the inside? ... It's a hole, Julie. You feared failure and yet you caused it to fail? You feared his mind, and yet you caused him even more trauma? I hope you're proud of yourself.
They had a real star studded cast for The Batman, Robert Englund, Ron Perlman, Mark Hamill.
A batman video with comments on?
