    Is this good in the snow

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Год назад

      It can work for light to somewhat regular snow. Or if you are going on vacation and the weather is not extreme it will do good. Nothing too heavy where your feet are sinking deeply into the snow all day. It is more of city boot, a comfortable warm boot with style.
      The leather can get damaged if you are constantly walking in deep snow and if they put salt in the snow to make it melt.
      Google snow boots and you can see they are more rugged or made from synthetic materials like nylon, that way they don't scratch easy and can be waterproof throughout.
      Hope this helps, this boot definitely has amazing style but it is not made for extreme weather conditions.

    Hello, I am living in Korea, thank you for the good video
    I'm thinking about this product because the size is ambiguous
    The actual size of my feet is 280mm and the ball of foot are 11.5cm
    Which size will match US 10.5 or US 11?

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  4 месяца назад +1

      Converse run large compared to other brands.
      For Converse go a 1/2 size down or 1 full size down. Everyone is different so your comfort level will depend on personal preference.
      If you like the shoe to be a bit more snug go with: 1 full-size down
      9.5 for 10.5 US
      10 for 11 US
      If you like a bit more extra room but still fit good, go with: 1/2 size down
      10 for 10.5 US
      10.5 for 11 US
      My example: For Nike I wear 8, for Converse 7.5. Hope this helps 👍👍

    How are these boots around the toes? Do they put a lot of pressure on the toes causing corns or calluses?

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Год назад +1

      I am wide footed and they feel great to me. Toe box is not snug at all with the correct sizing. I went true to size since Converse is a half size bigger compared to other brands. The shoe has very good cushioning too so that helps.
      I would say if you are extra extra wide then they might not fit correctly. But everyone else from narrow, regular, and wide can find the correct size for themselves.
      Buying moisture absorbing socks or quick drying socks can also help with calluses and such.
      Hope all this helps 👍👍.

      @jpalacesneakers  Год назад

      @@draeh5714 Don't play in Chucks!! They are not made for basketball! Especially when they are flat bottom, you will get calluses. Get an actual basketball shoe, your feet will thank you.
      Basketball shoes are made for constant jumping and running. These are great for everything except non stop jumping. You want a heel counter in a basketball shoe, shank plate for arch support from constant jumping, and not leather bc it will make your feet real hot and cause moisture, especially if running in them a lot.
      These are great for walking, using on a cold day, hiking (they have the fleece lining), but like I said not for constant jumping for two hours. These look great on a motorcycle or out on the town, on a date. Just not for summer when it's really hot, since the fleece lining is going to make your feet sweat a lot.

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  11 месяцев назад +3

      I like these for wearing out, not so much for working. With that said, I have taken them out to work because they look so good lol.
      Here are the pros and cons.
      Pros: If people see them, they will compliment you. They will keep your feet warm in cold weather. If it rains, not afraid of them getting my socks/feet wet, especially if wearing long pants. I've taken them fishing, they were very cozy, wore them all day. I didn't have to jump in the water to retrieve anything, was on small fishing boat or on shore.
      Cons: When they get dirty, it bothers me so much because the leather is so nice, so I'm always seeing where I am stepping. At times dislike I took them to work because had a flood once and had to walk in mud and puddles of water. The leather can get scratched with twigs and gravel. Also if the weather is not cold, instead if it's warm or regular weather the lining inside them will make you sweat. Your socks will get moist and hot if working nonstop. No steel toe too, so watch out what you kick lol (avoid harder surfaces).
      Overall: yes you can take them and kick the pig lol, but I prefer a different boot for work. But for going out in the town or casual wear here and there, they are fantastic and have great style, the ladies love a man in boots.
      Hope this helps Brother 👍👍 and sub if you can

    Does the tongue become out of place while walking or is there a loop for the lace to go through to keep it in place?

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  Год назад +2

      The tongue is a larger tongue so going to appear loose but only on the top. But doesn't move around too much at all. Won't look floppy.
      Will look floppy if you like wearing loose laces.
      Now the shoe fits someone snug if you tighten the laces more, this makes the tongue stay in place for the most part. But there is no loop that is attached to the tongue. The laces wrap around the ankle too for that tight feeling.
      If anything the tongue might get scrunched. My left tongue is more crunched and tilts a little to the side, because it arrived in the box like that. I should have straightened the tongue more often when tying my shoes to keep them nice and straight.
      It all depends how you wear them: Tight and secured with the tongue straighten. Or loose and floppy where the tongue can tilt to the sides a bit.
      Never really noticed the tongue moving too much when walking. Maybe if it's loose.
      Hope this helps 👍👍and push the sub button if you can!

    Please stop saying 'going to be', when you should be saying 'is'.
    'Going to be' is future tense, which doesn't apply here.

    Why didnt you mention the extremely weak heel couter in this "boot"? It feels as if there is simply one pieceof construction paper holding the heel counter together. No other BOOT I have ever owned, not only boot, no ther shoe at $100 plus price point has ever had such a weak heel counter. This shoe is overpriced trash I just returned my pair today and will spend my money on a real boot.

    • @jpalacesneakers
      @jpalacesneakers  2 года назад +2

      Converse usually doesn't put heel counters on their shoes. I know what you mean, you are looking for a more rugged, more supportive boot especially around the heel. Converse shoes with this silhouette usually wrap around the ankle with no extra support.
      For me, I have several Converse shoes and almost all don't have heel counters, but for my basketball shoes a heel counter is a must for me.
      I will add that detail for the boots I do in the future, this boot for all terrain you are actually right, should include a heel counter. I didn't mention it because the boot felt great for me, I got it for the looks and especially the quality leather.
      But some peeps like yourself in a boot or an expensive boot would like a heel counter. Appreciate you sharing this Brother, I add as many details as I can. Good thing Converse has ease free returns!
      Much Love Brother

      @@jpalacesneakers i just can see it now, 6 months down the line the back of that boot is gonna be all wrinkled and curled over and flimsy with no structure whatsoever and its not gonna look good anymore. this boot had so much potential. i love converse and was so excited for these. im gonna give the extra high top canvas lugged 2.0 cc a try and see what those feel like

    • @jpalacesneakers

      @@cashisclear I didn't mean to mislead since I know it can be a drag to return items. I know the feeling of disappointment too lol. Do try to give the best and worst of each shoe/boot. For some reason since it felt so comfortable to me, the thought escaped me of mentioning no heel clip.
      I have the Nike Manoa boot too and it has no heel clip and been using it for months, still feels great and the support has been there all these months.
      These Converse ones the leather is not as thick or padded so if you use them everyday they might start to wrinkle like you're saying. Then have to do the extra care on them to keep the leather fresh and looking good.
      Let me know what boot you find that has everything you are looking for, I'd love to know what you end of picking.

      @@jpalacesneakers I know you didn't mean to. I literally had just got them and tried them on and went straight to commenting on here so I was still frustrated while I was originally posting so my bad bro. I appreciate people like you giving in depth reviews. I'm thinking about getting some nike sfb 2.8 leather tactical boots but I want the converse ones for the cream colorway. So I think I will go with coyote and black in the nike boots and then have the cream converse. I wouldn't think the Manoa didn't have a heel counter, that's interesting because they appear so robust. I've eyed them before and almost got a pair
