I don’t see it as a joke to compare luffy to dms madara if he doesn’t instantly go for genjutsu. Edo madara and above would just be too much for luffy to handle for sure tho. Something that really bothers me in the naruto fandom (as a naruto fan who has watched it much longer than I have one piece) is the insane wank for characters. People who watched like a 100 episodes of one piece and claim madara solo’s the entire verse.

He wanted to see the extent of the 8 gates because he wasn‘t able to witness that until that day. He didn‘t use any jutsus at all except for that one time he build that black bubble and threw his orbs at him. Madara was just playing knowing that guy wouldn‘t be strong enough, as was the case in the end. Amd if the others (minato, lee, gaara etc) didn‘t help him escape those orb attacks guy would‘ve been dead. just goes to show how strong madara really is.

@@sarov7658 every universe has different scales of power. A character from One Piece is too far away from the scale of peak Dragonball, Naruto or even the likes of YuYu Hakusho. Pirates need planets, not good for fighting people who summon meteors or worse blow up planets with ease. Meanwhile a Saitama, while he wins in one punch, unless that punch can level a continent it’s not remotely the same as the output from a Goku, Madara or Sensui. In those instances, it’s pretty easy to say. When the universes have similar scales, I agree with you. But when it’s drastically different and he is still saying Madara can’t beat Luffy, I can’t help him. Madara takes out that whole crew with one swipe of his Susanoo.
It's actually a decent challenge to find someone Superman CAN'T solo. He's INSANELY overpowered, and unlike characters like Goku or Ichigo you can't just sneak attack him, cause he's just ALWAYS powerful. In anime most super powerful characters use some kind of magical energy source that lets them be super powerful and they have to manipulate this power if they want to be protected and attack effectively. Superman just IS ungodly powerful. In fact in comic books if you have some magical energy source, you're probably a demigod at the very least. Silver Sufer is a good example, he uses the power cosmic.
assuming madara is full sage of six paths then he easily solos the OP verse... he is at the speed of light and he puts out way way way more force. even if we say its just this version he wins entirely due to being a reanimation which makes him unkillable
he beated the 5 kage all by himself, he let them fight his shadow clones and even asked them if he should let them all use susanno or not, he fighted the hokages naruto, sasuke & shinobi alliance without armor while he was blind and still didnt lose against them, he even became a god

some additional things to consider for this part: water is a direct counter to fire techniques, and it took at least about a half dozen water techniques combined from what is presumably water specialists within the alliance working together just to match a single fire technique from madara, in spite of the elemental advantage. another is that this is madara at his weakest for the entire war. the first time he does any serious technique is when he pulls out the perfect susano'o, and he spends essentially the entire rest of the war getting stronger until he gets hit with the twist villain hammer. other notable things he did after reviving and without trying include dodging teleporters while blind and knocking out all the tailed beasts with about a punch each. it should also be noted that, at this point in the story the tsuchikage is bare minimum, top 3 most powerful people in the shinobi alliance, and probably breaks top 10 people who were alive/active at that time.

Rinnegan and six paths can't be brought up here. He was given that power because of plot. Kaguya needed him to absorb the tree. So only the real life Madara can be compared here. He would lose to Luffy. Luffy didn't steal or be given any powers. He trained and nourished his power.

With how fast juubi madara is, he'd just blitz basically all of the one piece characters with very little exceptions, and kill them instantly, he has attacks that move light speed such as light fang

And this is how luffy responds. Armament haki. Now jutsu simply don’t work on him. Period end of discussion. Luffy goes gear 4 (stronger than full power 8 gates guy sensei), uses observation haki to predict the literal future (stronger than rinnegan), and proceeds to body madara. Everyone forgets that there is a character in one piece who’s whole ability is the power of light and everything that goes with it. He can move at the speed of light, send lasers that are ultra concentrated rays of light that melt fucking steel, and can convert his body into light particles so he can’t be touched and luffy still beats him.

Remember, Madara was not taking Naruto, Gaara, or the rest of the Shinobi Alliance seriously nor went all out. It was a warm-up exercise for him, and adding Hashirama cells to his body so he could use Wood Style made Madara even more OP. Even the Five Kage were no match against him as he never went 100% against them.
The only version of Madara that could maybe be beaten was when he last fought Hashirama. He doesn’t have rinnegan or wood style but he did have the 9 tails. But he’s actually living and not reanimated like in this clip. As long as he is reanimated he can’t die and has unlimited chakra, so he wouldn’t lose. And sage of six paths madara is just unbeatable. Plot beat him at that point.

God, you both way overestimate One Piece. Madara could solo the whole verse, arguably he could do it fighting everyone at the same time too. He's far too fast and far too strong. The only person who might be able to keep up is Kizaru. But he's not doing any damage to Madara. Nobody in the OP verse could damage him. Especially, not if he busts out the susanoo. It's doubtful he'd even need to enable his Mangekyo Sharingan in the first place, and if we're using the strongest version of Madara, the one with Sage of the Six Paths power, absolutely nobody would be able to do a thing, and he'd one shot everybody there. It wouldn't even be a challenge. It'd be just like the fight you watched here.

Saying Might Guy beat him doesn't mean anything. It's not even true. Might Guy needed the help of three other people, including a former Hokage to be able to land effective attacks on Madara. Madara clearly wasn't taking the fight seriously either. He literally says, "Do you have any other jutsu? I want to dance some more!" The man's was dicking around and enjoying himself. After Guy beats him up a bit in the Eighth Gate, Madara still wasn't dead, and it took a powered up Naruto to come save Guy from DYING by being hit by Madara's truth seeking orb. Might Guy's STRONGEST ATTACK couldn't kill Madara, and he just regenerated. There's no point to your statement. Might Guy was the strongest Shinobi left standing on that battlefield before Naruto showed up again. With all that help, Guy still wasn't enough to stop Madara.

@@nam6282 1. well the way that genjutsu work is totally different, the user will inject his chakra into his target’s eyes and then start controlling and doing things to them, plus sasuke was able to put manda under genjutus, creature without chakra, so yeah it will work on anyone 2.Genjutsu is an illusionary trick used by a ninja to immobilize their victim for killing blow or mind control them into doing stuff(like making them assassinate, force intel out of them and so on). Above Is just a basic definition, Let me give you some Genjutsu extremes: 1)Infinite Tsukuyomi: This Genjutsu shows ones true heart’s desires. It’s fantasy turned into reality and while the victim is under it the victim’s chakra gets completely absorbed into God tree and the victims gets converted into White Zetsu. Their is no escape once a person is in this technique. Even the victim never suspects he is under genjutsu. The user can manipulate the victim to do anything(on his whim). So you get the idea that its not necessary One can escape from genjutsu, Especially when Their are extremes like above. But 2nd Mizukage classifies Genjutsu as Yin release. And common counters include: 1)Prevention: This is most simple technique since Genjutsu works by affecting ninja’s one of five senses. If you can identify which sense is effected and block that sense than essentially you could escape it before it hits. For instance Visual Genjutsu could be detected with Dojutsu like Byakugan or Sharingan. Luffy just suffered a major defeat at the hands of Kaido in One Piece. Chapter 1019 someone that madara would stomp Madara's Perfect Susanoo cut off the tops of nearby mountains with a shockwave just by unsheathing it's sword. ... I also do think that Madara and Sasukes Susannoos are comparable Edo Madara was so powerful the first time he appears on screen and we see him fight, he could solo with absolutely no difficulty the entire division of ninja he was fighting, which included Kage level+ fighters like Gaara, and obviously Naruto. He can yank Meteors from outerspace at massively hypersonic+ to lightspeeds depending on where you think he’s yanking them from, but regardless the feat is easily sitting at multi-continental through calcs. His susanoo itself should also scale to the full nine tails. He’s fast enough that he can react to KCM 2 Naruto and move faster than him, and we know that KCM 1 Naruto could blitz the Raikage who is stated to move at a speed “like light” in some guides… he has regeneration, unlimited chakra etc… this version of Madara would defeat Kaido with pretty much no to low difficulty EMS Madara is pretty annoying to scale, but regardless he should be at least as powerful as his Edo counterpart, and so he’d also stomp Kaido with no to little difficulty depending on his mood 1 rinnegan sage mode Madara is busted. He was able to defeat the entire tailed beasts with the blink of an eye. He scales higher than everyone in the battlefield with maybe the exception of Juubito, it’s debatable. I watched both series, i can tell you what happens in both just ask me any questions. Luffy would lose. Easy. All the over powered jutsus that madara is capable of completely trump luffy. Apparently some can increase their temperature to boiling points so Madara is sooo skilled he can copy kekkei genkais thru experience. Or the meteorite jutsu but I kind of doubt that since in the anime he actually did turn back time a bit in his fight with Hashirama. He wanted to see the extent of the 8 gates because he wasn‘t able to witness that until that day. He didn‘t use any jutsus at all except for that one time he build that black bubble and threw his orbs at him. Madara was just playing knowing that guy wouldn‘t be strong enough, as was the case in the end. Amd if the others (minato, lee, gaara etc) didn‘t help him escape those orb attacks guy would‘ve been dead. just goes to show how strong madara really is.

@@sarov7658 every universe has different scales of power. A character from One Piece is too far away from the scale of peak Dragonball, Naruto or even the likes of YuYu Hakusho. Pirates need planets, not good for fighting people who summon meteors or worse blow up planets with ease. Meanwhile a Saitama, while he wins in one punch, unless that punch can level a continent it’s not remotely the same as the output from a Goku, Madara or Sensui. In those instances, it’s pretty easy to say. When the universes have similar scales, I agree with you. But when it’s drastically different and he is still saying Madara can’t beat Luffy, I can’t help him. Madara takes out that whole crew with one swipe of his Susanoo.
It's actually a decent challenge to find someone Superman CAN'T solo. He's INSANELY overpowered, and unlike characters like Goku or Ichigo you can't just sneak attack him, cause he's just ALWAYS powerful. In anime most super powerful characters use some kind of magical energy source that lets them be super powerful and they have to manipulate this power if they want to be protected and attack effectively.
Superman just IS ungodly powerful. In fact in comic books if you have some magical energy source, you're probably a demigod at the very least. Silver Sufer is a good example, he uses the power cosmic.

some additional things to consider for this part: water is a direct counter to fire techniques, and it took at least about a half dozen water techniques combined from what is presumably water specialists within the alliance working together just to match a single fire technique from madara, in spite of the elemental advantage.
another is that this is madara at his weakest for the entire war. the first time he does any serious technique is when he pulls out the perfect susano'o, and he spends essentially the entire rest of the war getting stronger until he gets hit with the twist villain hammer. other notable things he did after reviving and without trying include dodging teleporters while blind and knocking out all the tailed beasts with about a punch each.
it should also be noted that, at this point in the story the tsuchikage is bare minimum, top 3 most powerful people in the shinobi alliance, and probably breaks top 10 people who were alive/active at that time.

God, you both way overestimate One Piece. Madara could solo the whole verse, arguably he could do it fighting everyone at the same time too. He's far too fast and far too strong. The only person who might be able to keep up is Kizaru. But he's not doing any damage to Madara. Nobody in the OP verse could damage him. Especially, not if he busts out the susanoo. It's doubtful he'd even need to enable his Mangekyo Sharingan in the first place, and if we're using the strongest version of Madara, the one with Sage of the Six Paths power, absolutely nobody would be able to do a thing, and he'd one shot everybody there. Edo Madara was so powerful the first time he appears on screen and we see him fight, he could solo with absolutely no difficulty the entire division of ninja he was fighting, which included Kage level+ fighters like Gaara, and obviously Naruto. He can yank Meteors from outerspace at massively hypersonic+ to lightspeeds depending on where you think he’s yanking them from, but regardless the feat is easily sitting at multi-continental through calcs. He could easily defeat the 5 kage and his Susanoo is so powerful that a simple swing of it can cut down range of mountains without even trying. His susanoo itself should also scale to the full nine tails. He’s fast enough that he can react to KCM 2 Naruto and move faster than him, and we know that KCM 1 Naruto could blitz the Raikage who is stated to move at a speed “like light” in some guides… he has regeneration, unlimited chakra etc… this version of Madara would defeat Kaido with pretty much no to low difficulty
EMS Madara is pretty annoying to scale, but regardless he should be at least as powerful as his Edo counterpart, and so he’d also stomp Kaido with no to little difficulty depending on his mood
1 rinnegan sage mode Madara is busted. He was able to defeat the entire tailed beasts with the blink of an eye. He scales higher than everyone in the battlefield with maybe the exception of Juubito, it’s debatable. Either way, this is basically a much more powerful version of Madara than the 2 versions above. Wins with no difficulty

Naruto verse before boruto could be scaled up to star level and only version of madara that can fight eos suske,naruto,kaguya or kakashi is 6 paths madara any other version of him is getting washed. In one piece verse we literally have guys who can summon meteorites for days, we have guys who can keep cutting them without much effort, we have dudes who move at speed of light, any peak tier or high tier can react to that and put up a fight, we have guys who can control/make blackholes, we have guys who can create earth/seaquakes with just punching. So if you think madara can solo op verse you are wrong.
