A lot of people have negative comments on the 2015 remasters. I thinks GH/GH2 came in 2016. The double GH is better, gatefold, photos and sleeve notes are better. I bought the 2019 HMV red pressing. Last week I bought the Platinum Collection 6LP.
These were cut by Miles Showell at 1/2 speed at Abbey Road in 2016 using the 2011 Bob Ludwig digital masters. I think the whole project was supposed to be all analog but soon they discovered the masters had lots of deterioration and damage so they were digitally restored as a means of preserving them. I’m sure most people can’t tell the difference and negative criticism is out of ignorance. I think the 2011 CDs are great and I’ve since bought the 2015 vinyl too. I’m into Queen and have over 350 items so that’s multiple vinyl pressings and CD editions of the same albums! Queen, like The Beatles and other great bands are not cheap but that’s why we love them! The News of the World box set from 2017 has a pure AAA (all analog from master to cutting) pressing of the album in the box. This sounds “different” to the 2015 vinyl but both sound great. In a blindfold test it would be hard to tell.

Are these new releases digital masters or proper sounding analog?
I belive these are digital masters. I love gatefold cover and inners with extra pictures.
