Your video is a life saver! That is exactly what my machine was doing! I thought I had been cleaning the lint out sufficiently with bobbin changes. I didn't realize that it could build up between the feed dogs. Thank you so much for your wonderful video! I didn't know what I was going to do. Sewing is truly my therapy. Thank you so much for your informative and excellent video. I appreciate it so much!

This was the shortest and most helpful video I found with info that I haven't seen included on any other troubleshooting video yet!!! I finally fixed the issue I have been having and my machine is working so much better!! Thank you!!

What causes the top thread to wrap around the bobbin shuttle?

The EGL700 sewing machine which i bought for my granddaughter wont feed the material..Was ok yesterday she said but since changing the needle it wont move. Checked the needles in ok and the bobbin . It'I i do it manualy ,it feeds ok ,but not when i use the pedal although it makes all the right noises. Ive tried everything i know. Im only used to my big old industrial sewing machine but this one is limited on bits you can unscrew to take a closer look. Any ideas please???

All of a sudden my feed dogs are not moving either up or down after taking off my embroidery arm. When I push the button on the back of the machine it doesn't move either up or down. When I take the plate off I can see a piece under the feed dogs that move back and forth when I press the button on the back of the machine, but it doesn't seem connected to the feed dogs. Can you advise me how to fix them or do I need to take it to a repair store. That's hard to do during this pandemic.

Hi. Did you manage to resolve this issue. I'm having the exact same problem, ever since I change the foot to the embroidery foot. I've only had this machine a month too 😢

where and what do i oil in regards to bobbin and case

On a machine like this you can put a drop of oil on the wick under the bobbin case and one drop on the "edge" of the hook where your bobbin case rides. I would clean and oil this area after every large project or a few smaller projects.

What kind of oil sh8i get or look for? Can it be found in something household or is it super specific? What is it fish oil, motor type oil? Coconut? This part is new I haven't sewed in a few years.

Is anyone else having the issue where the feed dogs move but they push the fabric towards me and not like away from me? Like without pressing the reverse stitch button the feed dogs still see reverse. Then when I do press the reverse stitch button, the feed dogs move the fabric like it is supposed to do.

@@Rana_96 I still haven't found a solution and I put some tape holding down the switch for reversing the feed dogs. So now it sews like it is supposed to, but it is just annoying to have to peel back the tape when I need the feed dogs to go in a different direction.
