Or if your gig is in your own living room, with just your Cocker Spanial in attendance... I like having something good for me... When you strum and the sound goes right through you... That's good! Or when you finger pick and you feel the sound of each note... It's awesome!
Am just beginning the search for my next guitar... Love the reviews you guys do!

Feedback or not; they all sounded better with the mic than the line input. I looked at travel guitars in 2015 and ended up with a Martin 00015SM! It has Great sound, it’s small, and lightweight. I really like a 1 3/4 nut width for finger style.

I don’t know how I missed this video. Excellent and extremely relevant, AND a great choice of guitars. I find it funny that I own or owned three of them. Chris and Cooper do a great job.
I listened first without looking at the video, noted what sounds I liked better. Then again to see if I was right/wrong on my guesses.
My blind order of like was the Martin, Yamaha, and Cordoba for .
The Yamaha was so distinctive AND surprising . A fine , fun amped up guitar. I own a GS mini e rosewood, sold the road series Martin , which I loved but upgraded to a 00015sm, and sold the Epiphone because if not amped up it sounded a little thin to me.
Hard to beat the GS mini for traveling or just to noodle around. But for sitting and playing I always grab the Martin. Thank you again.

Recently got a F150 ce and rotate among the 3 for home jam and small gig as they all sound great through Yamaha THR5A. Its important for folks to see what great guitars are available under $1000 . . . with a good set up and the right stings they stack up amanzing well to guitars 3 to 4X their price. Thx

I own a road series martin D10-E which I bought for 1000€. Today i bought a Grand Audotorium AC222CE-OV from Eastman, and it's a finer Guitar in every aspect as far as I can tell. Real all-solid-wood construction (including fretboard and bridge as well as pins and bone nut), no fake tortoise strumming shield. The Martin is still a very solid guitar, but for the money it could be more, but you pay the name for sure. What I want to say is: If you want to invest 3000€ I would buy a Martin because the overall value tends to stay the same and at some price point the guitar just doesn't get better in terms of performance. If I wanted something with good quality and best playability for under a 1000€ I would go with an Eastman or other brilliant brands that just offer more for the money.

  • @timelwell7002

I have to say this - I HATE piezo pickups, because they are always positioned diectly under the bridge saddle. Therefore the tone is equivalent to plucking right nex to the bridge ALL the time far too harsh tonally). I FAR prefer a soundhole positioned stacked humbucker - such as the LR BAGGS M1 - which can cope with bronze or phosphore bronze strings. I believe that Fishman do a similar type of pickup.
My first thought is therefore not to worry about the pickup system - which can be changed - but instead to consider the tone, playability of the neck, comfort of playing, intonation, and overall build quality.

I'm guessing they just don't sell Taks in their store, that's why they never talk about it.
