Liberace was extremely gifted and a great pianist. He had a very special quality and was so personable. His brother George was an orchestra leader. He had a supper club in Sacramento. I met him. His club was top notch. It was called the Sacramento Inn located in Sacramento , CA.

There are two keys to the door of music. One is dedication and the other is love. Liberace dedicated his every performance to his audiences with love.
He was a kind and gentle man and should be remembered as such!

So many unkind comments from critics. So man rude jokes. So many said his time has come and gone. Over 135,000 people have watched this in 2012! Why? Because it's what the people like, not the newspapers! He had a huge talent. Also, he had a great on- stage personality. Love this guy!

Liberace performed EXCLUSIVELY on Baldwin pianos, he had a lifetime contract with them, that he would use Baldwin 9ft concert grands wherever he performed, from the smallest venue to the largest concert hall, he even had his mirrored piano shipped from concert to concert and had a staff of tuners on his payroll to keep his beloved Baldwin in tip-top shape. Lawrence Welk had the same lifetime agreement with Baldwin. Sadly, In December 2008, Baldwin ceased most manufacturing of new pianos.

The other guy in the dance routine is Milton Berle who is outdanced by the way - Liberace is a sharp mover and a good but not great singer. I assume that the sense of rhythm he needs for playing the piano so well is the same quality needed for dancing so well. He's brave to step outside his comfort zone into comedy, song and dance.

OMG. This is really the one of the greatest shows on earth. I am a gay man and this is just an example of how many of us have such talent and that it was scorned at. He is just amazing makes my heart just leap and shout yeah!

no need to say youre gay. Liberace didnt become famous because he was gay. I bet no one gave him any favours to excel. It was hardwork and his natural ability and practise as he sai d about 10-12 hours a day ...THats why hes so good. Not everyone has the ability to be so charismatic, funny ,sing, dance , and be so NICE on stage ....tHATS what was so endearing.

I wonder if the costume he was wearing here was one of the ones with the dry cleaning chemicals that almost killed him. He was lucky the doctors back then were able to figure out what was wrong with him. It's so crazy that he actually survived something like that, only to go on to later die the way he did.
