Plot twist: the finale of Season 4 was the prequel story for Season 1 and everything is stuck in a horrible time loop and humanity is already dead, only surviving in a digital loop.

season 2 wasnt as good as the first but is still better than the third and fourth season. I liked fourth season, that finale was dogshit.
it was for me, I stopped in s2 first or second ep and just decided to ignore those.
It really should have been - everything after season 1 feels like it was tacked on after the real story was finished.

Season 1 was so good. I loved the concept but this show has gotten so “out there” since then that it’s hard to believe it’s even the same show.
It really shit the bed starting with S2.
I turn to the Man of Recaps when I don’t have the effort to watch certain TV shows and movies.

Looking back season 4 was really good. Shows that I don't find good I end up forgetting most of it, but going through this recap I remembered all most all of it. It was memorable.
Thank you for saving me all the hours it would have taken to watch a show that I haven't liked since some time during S2.

This is probably one of the few shows where it actually pays to watch the recaps before you watch the episode because that’s the only way to understand it

Ww first 2 seasons we're great for their western style. Third season was cool concept, but it killed it for me.
I think the first 2 seasons were great not because of their style, but because we were still under the impression that certain things matter...we were engaged by the religious/philosophical ideas especially posed by Anthony Hopkins character...season 3 made it clear that nothing matters and we're just gonna revive dead characters with different consciousnesses just cause we want those actors/actresses to still be in the show even though it makes no sense to recreate the exact same body...idk show's whack
At least Season 3 had an actual meaning and message (NEI, Great Reset), though completely abandoning the West in WESTworld.
But season 4 was a complete mess. Sucked harder than Monica Lewinsky.
Can't wait for Season 5 where they break the 4th wall and kill all the writers of this show. And then in Season 6 you have to wear a special headgear to watch it. Expect now the show is breaking the 5th wall and you're watching yourself inside Westworld where the machine splits your consciousness into two where you're both in the show and watching the show at the same time.

Literally every character dies in every season and every character has a robot version and just... NOTHING makes sense! Nothing matters! They just play out every possibility and it's a mess
You cannot care for these characters even if you tried. They respawn like gta protagonists
@@vasvas8914 exactly, the only reason to watch is to have a haemorrhage trying to make sense of it all. It's impossible to care about the characters or story, it's all for the twists, which is basically anything can happen and every time you understand it it changes. It's constantly "yes it is, no it isn't, but yes it is, but it's actually that thing, no it's actually this thing, but it's a simulation, but it's real, and you're a human, but you're actually a robot..."

@@bishbosh4815 I completely agree with you about this show. When characters can just die over and over again and keep on coming back than there are no stakes. Also, most of the characters are pretty one note; and I genuinely don't care about what happens with these characters or their bland, uninteresting world. I do very much enjoy this channel though. These recaps make the show seem far more interesting than it actually is.

@@thelordofpainandsuffering8480 Is there going to be a fifth season? Almost all main characters are dead, Dolores is the only one left(Unless she can salvage Bernard and Maeve somehow). All 'villains' are dead as well

Season 3 and 4 needed more narrative style conversion to explain clearly what was happening. Because many intentions were hard to read until the actions are made. Not to mention the non linear timeline and the fact that these two seasons are way different from the first two with both season 3 and 4 being different in its own way

For some reason I ended the season at episode 7 and then heard about the cancellation of the show and was pretty tight. Because of this video I just found and finished episode 8 and I think the show is pretty much concluded here. I am satisfied now.

Really though, it was a MASSIVE waste of time. This show got so ridiculous, viewership absolutely tanked. I heard that writers were scanning discussion forums for the show for fan theories so they could do the opposite of what everyone thought. It's insane, and the reason this show became terrible so quickly

Great job, dude. I frickin’ love this show and this season was very good. It seems Westworld only ends a season with an apocalypse so that’s getting a bit tiresome. There were a few loose ends which angered me; e.g., What the hell happened to all the hosts who transcended? Still, I hope Maeve is reunited in the Sublime with her daughter. Dolores and Teddy find peace and each other. Me? I will be living the vida loca with a reconstructed Stubbs…

As convoluted as this sounds, the real world-undertones of enslavement, lack of free will, and getting further than the last off the sacrifice of whoever paved the way in your last life is disturbingly too close.
After watching this, I'm glad I skipped Season 4 and even when I don't like saying this, I'm also glad the show got cancelled. Rewatching it tells you why viewership and critic scores were going down season by season and why they never did one as good as the first season.
Should've ended on a high note with Season 1 if not with a decent story with Season 2.
When a show is so confusing, you just GOTTA hit up the MOR channel ASAP.

The only downside of this season was that it was only 8 episodes… this show deserved 10 episodes at least.. hoping the next season will end on 10 episodes

This show went off the rails after season 2. Thank Rohoboim for Man of Recaps to keep everything clear and succinct.
After a disappointing season 2 and 3, season 4 was actually a really great return to form. Thankfully it ended in a way that doesn't really need a follow-up, much like the first season, so it's cancellation isn't really a big deal.

Man, season 1 was probably the best 1st season show I’ve ever watched. Brilliant!
But they couldn’t maintain the quality throughout the series. They went from a masterpiece to a barely okay.
0:48 I get Dexter vibes from that episode. Ed Olsen should have been the main villain lol.
The average viewer gave up on this show, but I'm happy to have found such an articulate summary. Looks like the new seasons were pretty sick, I just didn't give it the time of day.
Just finished watching the show and watched this. Guess it's not really show I thought i was watching? Kill off all your best actors? Admit that humanity can't be saved in the real world and is actually going extinct? What's the point of watching anymore? That's beyond bleak.

On WW, Honestly this show has no idea where it’s going with it’s characters. What is the point william’s journey, Dolores’s journey, etc? I get it’s not a finished story but after season 1, there’s not many satisfactory moments for most of the characters
