I like season one then just watched one episode of season two and thought I cba with where this is going. So just watched all the recaps and glad I didn’t invest 30 hours into it lol
Looking back season 4 was really good. Shows that I don't find good I end up forgetting most of it, but going through this recap I remembered all most all of it. It was memorable.
Can't wait for Season 5 where they break the 4th wall and kill all the writers of this show. And then in Season 6 you have to wear a special headgear to watch it. Expect now the show is breaking the 5th wall and you're watching yourself inside Westworld where the machine splits your consciousness into two where you're both in the show and watching the show at the same time.
And again. Brilliantly condensed into very short nine and half minutes. Consistent, high quality content. I really appreciate that. This time I didn't come here directly but pondered about watching a longer recap. Maybe westworld is too complex to be explained in this style. Doesn't feel like it now. But I'll go now and check out another one,.
This is probably one of the few shows where it actually pays to watch the recaps before you watch the episode because that’s the only way to understand it
I think the first 2 seasons were great not because of their style, but because we were still under the impression that certain things matter...we were engaged by the religious/philosophical ideas especially posed by Anthony Hopkins character...season 3 made it clear that nothing matters and we're just gonna revive dead characters with different consciousnesses just cause we want those actors/actresses to still be in the show even though it makes no sense to recreate the exact same body...idk show's whack
At least Season 3 had an actual meaning and message (NEI, Great Reset), though completely abandoning the West in WESTworld. But season 4 was a complete mess. Sucked harder than Monica Lewinsky.

Honestly though a bad season of Westworld is still better than most everything else on TV. Just because the first two seasons were literal masterpieces people hate on it.
Literally every character dies in every season and every character has a robot version and just... NOTHING makes sense! Nothing matters! They just play out every possibility and it's a mess

It's impossible to care about the characters or story, it's all for the twists, which is basically anything can happen and every time you understand it it changes. It's constantly "yes it is, no it isn't, but yes it is, but it's actually that thing, no it's actually this thing, but it's a simulation, but it's real, and you're a human, but you're actually a robot..."

Also, most of the characters are pretty one note; and I genuinely don't care about what happens with these characters or their bland, uninteresting world. I do very much enjoy this channel though. There were a few loose ends which angered me; e.g., What the hell happened to all the hosts who transcended? Still, I hope Maeve is reunited in the Sublime with her daughter. Dolores and Teddy find peace and each other. Me? I will be living the vida loca with a reconstructed Stubbs…
After watching this, I'm glad I skipped Season 4 and even when I don't like saying this, I'm also glad the show got cancelled. Rewatching it tells you why viewership and critic scores were going down season by season and why they never did one as good as the first season. Should've ended on a high note with Season 1 if not with a decent story with Season 2.
Really though, it was a MASSIVE waste of time. This show got so ridiculous, viewership absolutely tanked. I heard that writers were scanning discussion forums for the show for fan theories so they could do the opposite of what everyone thought. It's insane, and the reason this show became terrible so quickly
Season 3 and 4 needed more narrative style conversion to explain clearly what was happening. Because many intentions were hard to read until the actions are made. Not to mention the non linear timeline and the fact that these two seasons are way different from the first two with both season 3 and 4 being different in its own way
I had absolutely no clue whatsoever as to what in the blue hell was happening throughout this season yet the episodes just flew by...🤷♀ did I watch a good show?? Maybe! No one will ever know
For some reason I ended the season at episode 7 and then heard about the cancellation of the show and was pretty tight. Because of this video I just found and finished episode 8 and I think the show is pretty much concluded here. I am satisfied now.
As convoluted as this sounds, the real world-undertones of enslavement, lack of free will, and getting further than the last off the sacrifice of whoever paved the way in your last life is disturbingly too close.
After a disappointing season 2 and 3, season 4 was actually a really great return to form. Thankfully it ended in a way that doesn't really need a follow-up, much like the first season, so it's cancellation isn't really a big deal. Great recap, as always :)

Man, season 1 was probably the best 1st season show I’ve ever watched. Brilliant! But they couldn’t maintain the quality throughout the series. They went from a masterpiece to a barely okay.
The only downside of this season was that it was only 8 episodes… this show deserved 10 episodes at least.. hoping the next season will end on 10 episodes
They gave away Christina in the very first episode, at one point if you looked through the window behind her in her office everything outside was in the “low bandwidth” patchwork code it was in the final episode when Haloris was stamping on the floor to get her pearl out the floor. Everybody I mentioned it to said I was wrong, gonna be fun when I get back to work lololol

When you make a great show you really need to finish the great show! I’m sick of any series that you get into and then they don’t finish it. Great video! On WW, Honestly this show has no idea where it’s going with it’s characters. What is the point william’s journey, Dolores’s journey, etc? I get it’s not a finished story but after season 1, there’s not many satisfactory moments for most of the characters
Sad they never got to finish their story with no season 5 but her going back is kind of a nice ending to the whole series. I feel like humanity will either start again & be fine or that computer will start making new robots eventually & it will all just repeat itself like a loop 🔁 or stories just like in Westworld😳 since season 2 we know that they can live time out of order so maybe she created Westworld in the Sublime then made it real and they just keep living the same lives over and over again. Maybe Ford found this out at some point in like version 10😮
