- The truth about marvel mystery oil is it safe for your car or engine we find out what no gas and nothing but marvel mystery oil can do to your engine. What did marvel mystery oil do to my engine? destroy it ?
#16oiltournament #marvelmysteryoil
MMO was never intended to be used as gasoline. It's oil. This is no indication whatsoever of whether it's safe to put in the motor oil, or add a small amount the gas tank. Used as intended, MMO would never damage your engine, and it may actually do it some good...
It's definitely safe to put in your motor oil your gasoline and your automatic transmission
Well gee, Its almost like you're not supposed to do that! You're not supposed to run it on 100% MMO.
I had a 2009 Toyota corolla that’s common suddenly, turn the check engine light on. After running the scanner on the computer, it’s rebuilt code related to the transmission. The transmission started acting funny and causing the car hesitates in. I took the car to the oil change place and told them to put 12 ounces and the transmission oil after draining it. The light of the check engine disappeared, immediately. The funny acting reaction disappeared. And everybody in the shop that listened to the mechanic saying that the check engine light disappeared, Took note of the Marvel mystery oil name to go get it at Walmart or anywhere else. Abused Marvel mystery oil for the longest time and all my vehicles, in the gas tank and Engine. I highly recommend it. God bless you.
0:31 "Is Marvel Mystery Oil safe for your new car?..."
"Well after I weld a new exhaust on this push lawn mower and run it on 100% Marvel Mystery Oil we definitely wont have our answer. Because if we can run a engine on nothing but Marvel Mystery Oil and it survives i'm sure it will tell us absolutely nothing about how safe it is for your engine"
I am a little surprised that the lawn mower ran as well as it did using only Marvel Mystery Oil along with a little starting fluid. I think of MMO as a very good cleaner and lubricant of the fuel system at the recommended 4 oz MMO for every 10 gallons of gas. I have been using MMO for 3 years in my car, truck, and lawn mower gas tanks with very good results. I add 1 oz MMO to my 2 gallon gas can for my over 10 year old lawn mower and it always starts up in the spring, even if the gas has been sitting over the winter.
Awesome im glad you shared this with others so they know if something is worth trying.
Me to 👍
A friend of mine has been driving his old car that had the check engine light on for like twenty years. I told him to put some MMO in the oil and fuel tank and within a week his check engine light went out and hasn't come back on yet. He couldn't believe it. It does work.
DID THE BULB BURN OUT?? LOL
Did he thank you 😅😅😅😅😅,
@@deal380 Not yet !!!!!
Of course you can't run an engine on just MMO, but yes it is safe for all vehicles.
Having no idea how the unintended use of this product is indicative of its safety or effectiveness for my car.
Let's pop popcorn with Mobil 1 and see if eating it kills rats so we know if its gonna kill our car.
I got that that same Briggs and Stratton mower. Within the first week the air cover got knocked off and run over. The engine started to runaway and needed a manual cable adjuster and now the rear wheel bolt rusted and sheared off. I'm going to put some Marvel Mystery Oil all over it right now. Thanks!
Everytime I use mmo in my fuel my gas pedal suddenly gets waaaaay smoother and lighter operation and that's because the mmo circulating in the fuel system and by time it reaches the throttle body ...the extra lube lightens the pull of the cable by internally causing less friction...and I've been using mmo in gas for years in my 2003 chevy impala and at 140 thousand miles an endoscope into the cylinder reveals 0 carbon deposits and I mean 0..!!!!!!! And in all cylinders and all my sensors are safe and no check engine light yet but it makes idling way smoother as well as quiet a noisy fuel pump
promise u arent kidding... cos i am using mmo on my brand new mitsubishi outlander and I am hoping it keeps the heads, pistons and valves squeeky clean
@@minutemaniii7062 It's an oil, basically denatured kerosene, with a red dye and wintergreen fragrance added.
It can clog your converter.
Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. It lubes the system enough that the gas pedal feels smoother?!? Please. This is all in your head. You know you put it in so subconsciously your mind is finding things that feel different but probably really aren't.
Small engines are just like a model T Ford engine. Very low compression flat head. The model t was a multi fuel car. Kerosene moon shine alcohol and 70 octane fuels. Worked in it. Just like a small engine. Does not surprise me that a small engine can run on different fuels.
Great video, I used in my 2014 Toyota Camry 2.5 engine, It make the car more responsive, the engine is quiet.
Awesome im glad to hear your story and this information is good for others of nia community. How long have you used this?
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO For 4 years
Nice thanks
That wasted 4 min of my life
I fast forwarded to see what happened. Lol.
Lol and you'll never get it back
Almost 5
You watched someone try to start a mower for four minutes....it’s something lol
I've used Mmo for years never had a problem it works as long as you follow instructions
New cars aren’t carbureted and also have catalytic converters.. mmo is great for small engines but I’m not sure if I’d consistently run it in a car..
I have in a new car for a oil flush and fuel additive with no issues. But i definitely understand your concern as new cars become more sensitive to changes.
I would expect it to run just like that on diesel fuel, Wonder how much extra heat was introduced to that engine seeing as how there is a lot more BTUs in oil.
That's not it's intended use, this proves nothing but what we already know, it's not fuel it's an additive.
Thank you. I find this video pointless.
You can't put an air tight lid on your fuel supply!
I add just a little to the engine oil. I believe it helps a little to lubricant the valves
If Carburetor Cleaner spray would have been used, It would have started easier. It had to get the combustion chamber hot to keep everything firing. .......... I did similar to a push mower to mow my yard in 1984. My yard required a full tank to complete my yard. On this day, I only had a half a tank. To experiment, every time I made a round of my yard, I added some 10W40. At the half way point, I rested. I cleaned the spark plug ball of burnt oil, and had to use carburetor cleaner to keep the engine running long enough until it was hot enough to run on it's own. I finished the yard, plus let it sit and run almost an hour longer until empty tank. I cleaned the spark plug again and that next weekend, it ran normal with 100% pump gas. ......... An experiment, that happened to pop into my head to try, but it had very low power with the 1/2 tank of engine oil, plus I fogged for bugs that day in the yard.
chrisfix impersonator
I've tried marvel mystery oil mixed with gasoline. I used as directed and the engine operated a tad bit smoother but I would not use it just because the benefit does not outweigh the cost. That's my opinion, it definitely does make for a smoother operation.
Thanks i really appreciate you help the community with your experience.
Richard Ojeda it’s about $3.88 at Walmart for the good size bottle
Thats why i consider marvel a good choice many uses and low cost.
@ Richard Ojeda- I am actually saving money by using Marvel Mystery Oil with the increased mpg that MMO provides, plus the added benefits of a smoother idle, keeping the fuel injectors clean and lubricating the fuel pump. If you live in the USA, Walmart sells the 32 oz (quart) size for $3.88.
I have owned the same car for the past 12 years and have kept track of the highway mpg on every major trip I have taken. For the past 3 years, I have added 4 oz MMO for every 10 gallons of gas at almost every fill up, and I am getting at least 1.5 to 2 more mpg on the highway. With that in mind, my most recent 815 mile trip from Maryland to Florida actually saved me about 4 dollars with the savings in gas, minus the cost of the MMO.
Very nice i appreciate your story this helps the community
Might be ok for a mower but I wouldn't put it in a modern computer controlled car. Too many sensors to get fouled. It the oil might be ok but not the gas.
Actually MMO is very safe for modern cars. I use it in our 2017 mirage g4 and it works awesome.
Once the enging was hot enough it ran as a diesel engine and flames are caused by the mist of hot unburnd mmo and was ignited by egt
Mmo is the best fuel additive
Fantastic
Seems you would have had to add a little gas or spray starting fluid in with the mmo to get it to run. MMO wouldn’t have caused the flame out the pipe.
I agree. Leaning it out causes the flame
“Hey guys, ChrixFix here...”
That’s cool it worked!👍. You should have showed us if it cleaned the inside up as well
I should have Absolutely, thanks for watching.
mmo is an additive not a stand alone product
Hopefully, well, when I retire, I wake up some morning, and think, wouldn't it be great to make a video of me running my lawn mower on nothing but flatulence,,,, I bet that would destroy an engine! Or, Me from my neighbors complaining about the smell.
1st YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE HEAD OFF, TAKEN A PICTURE. THEN RUN THE MMO, THEN TAKE THE HEAD OFF AGAIN AND ANOTHER PICTURE AND THEN COMPARE THEM. OTHERWISE THIS MEANS NOTHING

That engine running a comp-cam. 😂
Not enough Octane in MMO by itself to run engine.
I saw an idiot trying to use starting fluid to run an engine that runs off gasoline
Travis Lee 🤣
MMO is fucking mineral spirits. Damn
First time I've seen anyone try to run this oil 100% 😂 Don't do this.......But if you consistently run 1/2 of recommended, every once in a while, it'll keep your jets, or injectors clean. especially with the 10% ethanol fuels, high humidity, & low volume of gas in your tank...
The jets and orifices in the carb are too small to run the motor on MMO or any other kind of oil.
I wanna see what the spark plug looks like
Good idea absolutely
That is a gasoline engine not a diesel. MMO runs great in my 1981 Mercedes Benz 240d because diesel fires under compression.
Fouling the o2 sensor or cat con on a car is a different story.
What about fuel injection cleaner doesn't that work? don't want to stress out a high mileage engine.
He forgot to say hold my beer and watch this ! Was he in the movie Jackass ???……
Thats a lot of hammering on that rod and piston.🤣
Fill your car gas tank with mmo and see how that works out for you
MMO is a goodproduct should have just doubled recommended dose and that would prove without question its safe do one with atf next time?
That 2 step though ..
Good job Nate. Keep up the hard work so we don't have to. 👍🔧
Thanks for your support i really appreciate you
Should have tried gear oil...
Definitely think that a 2 stroke would have liked it more
Yea, but that was a hyper tough engine!
Me spraying starter fluid on my push to start😅
Made that thing sound like a cammed monster
I used marvel mystery oil in my 1970 f250 with a 390 and then tore down the engine to find tons of carbon deposits on the pistons. And I poured some in the oil and also in the carb while it was running. Plus in the spark plug holes directly into the combustion chamber and let it sit for 4 days before running it. Did absolutely nothing
It's a cleaner lube not a fuel.
This video should be titled ..How to Fuck up a Lawnmower....
You should use marvel mystery oil as instead of the oil
Wow great idea keep them coming.
Not enough protection sure it would we ork for awhile tho how about half atf half mmo lol that could be a good flush I think...
I don't mean to be a dog in the manger but you know MMO doesn't have anything like the proper additive package this motor requires.. other than deliberate engine damage I'm not at all sure what's being achieved by doing this
when you say you don’t recommend this did you mean you don’t recommend the oil or doing that to the lawn mower 😂
Doing what i did to the lawn mower.
Sounds like a normal ford to me.
Can you fill the crankcase with 100% mmo next? I only seen novice garage do it with a miata. It blew up, but they really had to try and kill it. Thanks
Good idea
@@NATESINTERACTIVEAUTO hope to see it
Ok thanks
Beautiful yard.. Its just gorgeous lol
Yeah lol
Dunning-Kruger demonstrated
Wow your assumptions and comparisons are ambiguous at best...comical at it's worst....but how can you compare a modern car, which has dozens of sensors and computers running and analyzing the car while a lawnmower has none of those things and is infinitely less complex as a modern gasoline car engine....u just can't compare the 2 reliably since they are totally opposite of one another in operation...only thing the M.M. Oil touches in a mower is the carb ...tank...and cylinder.....cars have advanced fuel injection and different sensors and computer hardware as well as fuelmpumps.... And catalytic converter sensors...yada yada yada so just figured I'd
I was thinking the same thing.
This dude really just made his mower backfire
We performed this test to see if a engine would run on marvel mystery oil.
I put too much in my moped and its backfiring like crazy and isnt running right at all.
Lol right
Thanks now I have a head ache. 👋
Wow I just bought this. Ironic.
Yes i have used for oil flush and engine noise checked with sound meter plus intake valve cleaning then combustion chamber cleaner.
Don't think a lawn mower is a diesel engine
You didn't vent your tank
I can't believe you didn't foul the plug this is dum .it's a gas engine lol. a diesel engine would probably run on MMO no problem
I put too much of this in my four wheeler and it messed it up for a while
Bullshit
Science
Marvel mystery oil is NOT flammable!
smart like bucket of mud
@4:35 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Poor engine!
the name ends with oil? if it is additive for fuel!
Yes
Bar's fuel cleaner is oil based as well I think.
Edit: I meant Lucas fuel cleaner.
Its seems this is true check my new Lucas video
Do you have any idea how bad it is too use starting fluid on a small engine?? Wow this guy is a mystery himself. Please people with half a brain 🧠 don't do anything this guy does!!
You're special bud! The starting fluid does ten times more damage! It washes the rings of all lubrication. Mystery oil is about the only thing slightly saving that engine! Damn kids these days! You that special kinda soft! Need mechanic gloves to pull a rubber pull string😢 You're built different that's for sure 👎
Stupidity should be a crime!..
thanks for wasting our time
Wheres your comparison and control?
Wth??? 😂
Idem Mecarun P 18 !
Someone allows ANYONE to post crap like this on RUclips.
Not meant to be run like that haha should have shown the inside see if it got cleaned at least
Mettez un traducteur svp ….
Sounds crazy a lot of pop
Yeah i thought it would be easier this time but i was wrong lol
Buy a Honda...
? Not a great idea
Pointless.
WTF
there are reasons why gasoline is more combustible in lower compression engines, goober. This is why diesel engines ignite the fuel oil with compression and no spark needed. goober.
It never says add it to gas tank that's empty you always want to add it to fuel
But you can put it in your transmission
