Appreciate the time taken to show this fix. I have the Renault Clio IV and this guide helped me repair the passenger door button following your guide. Job well done and a worthy first video for you i must say.
Good to hear that you are 'sorted' ... I only uploaded the video because i was so pleased to have sorted out my own problem, which after more than 18 months is still working fine. Thanks for the response
So i did try this but sadly the pcb where the switch was mounted on was completely eroded (as was the switch, it fell apart on touching it). Impossible to solder another switch on, the traces on the pcb where gone. But with some glue, soldering the wires directly to the switch, cutting a corner off from the pcb I was able to get it working again. At least for now..... Thanks again for this video, it was very helpful!
@hughchampion6849 I have the 2015 captur, button doesn't work on drivers door, I've never soldered though so I'll probably just take it to the garage, but good to know that's probably the issue.
Hello Hugh. My Renault Captur in Argentina is having the same problem, however, I'm not sure if it's just a microswitch problem. Do you know if the switch is NC or NO (Normal Closed or Normal Open)?
very nice that you have taken the time to make this video. im struggeling with a similar problem on my kadjar. you allso couldn't release the electric connector inside the door without removing the interior panel ? i have allready bought a second hand door handle with switch and wanted to completely swap it but i cannot get the connector released from the outside.
Basically when I had removed the door handle I realised that I couldn’t release the electrical connector (couldn’t even see it) so I brought the soldering iron to the car! It was easier than taking off the door panel. Thinking about it there is no reason why you can’t cut the wires to remove the broken part and then rejoin onto the new parts that you have bought. Wrap up the joints with insulation tape and you would be good to go!
@@paolocasamenti2365 😂 to be fair after taking the time and effort to shoot this video for us he probably deserved the last one on the market. I might just buy a new door handle all together and just take the microswitch out
@@hughchampion6849 Hi Mr.Champion, am Magnus wife and its my black Captur that's have the same problem, i'll gound you on facebook and wrote to you, I need 2 of those and want to pay for those switch we are in asweden and need to bouth doors and were can we buy them?
