Hi Paul, did it self prime when you turned the ignition on? Not sure if I should fill mine with fuel before re sealing it.
@@joe2001mini I primed it. I wasn't sure if it would pump that amount of fuel into what was effectively a sealed system, with no way of expelling the trapped air, unless you cracked an injector open.

In modern cars, there's generally no need to manually prime the filter. The fuel pump will do this automatically when the key is turned. It's a good idea to repeat this process a few times (without turning the key to the ignition position) to ensure the filter is properly filled with fuel. 😊

We recommend replacing it according to the manufacturer's instructions. You can also change the fuel filter during an oil change. 🙂

If you have a diesel engine, the filter location is as shown in the video. However, if you have the gasoline version, the fuel filter for this model is non-replaceable. 🙂

In new, modern vehicles, there's usually no need to pre-fill the fuel filter. 🙂After installation, simply activate the fuel pump several times by turning the key (without starting the engine), and it will fill the filter automatically.👍
