They provided passive solar in that they collected warmth throughout the day, and then radiated that warmth in the evening. Love the simple, calm clean lines of this home. Beautifully done!

I love the mud room foyer.Every home should be entered through a mud room at the front door instead of at the back of a garage. It is the ultimate welcome to a home. Having more than one entrance to your home creates the need for multiple closets and waterproof flooring in each one. I live in a cottage bungalow with an all season porch/mud room addition in front of the former front door and it is my favourite part of the house.

The frontage actually looks overgrown and derelict when you first see it. Sitting on the living room sofas and seeing the mud room stuff gives bed sit vibes, if that was put on the opposite wall you couldnt see it . There is a lot of glass and light connecting inside to outside which is fantastic
