My wife and I used the FH road back in the 90's. All the roads were closed leaving Brookings, so this was our last hope getting back to Central Oregon, where we lived at that time. We came out at the 6 mile marker on the Jaw Bone road. (Right where Jeff Gowman went over with his log truck) Then went down to the Jones Creek road and on down to 199. OK Mike, my first story for the year. You have a great year yourself.........and give Stoney an extra dog biscuit for being such a good dog.(:>)
Priority to fix this road if it is an evac route. Plenty of money in the infrastructure kitty since lots of upgrades being done in the area. Happy 2025 Stoney and cronies. 👋👱♀️🐸🎉
About a month ago, an elderly lady in Western Pennsylvania was out looking for her cat! She stopped and got out of her car, while walking around she fell into a very deep sink hole that was created by an old mine! 😢 Her body was finally recovered several days later! She had no idea it was there! You just never know! 😞
sad truth is 1980 we would have that fixed with 6 guys 3 trucks and a backhoe an a pipe done in a day by supper and today it will be 4 monthes several serveys and soil sample tests later and 500k bucks once they get approval from some agency in Sacramento. when i got out of active duty army did work for state flood relief and with Army Engineers out of Eureka in the 90s it's now common practic to spend a dollar to get a dimes work done
🌿🕊... great reporting
Thanks, That was all that happened yesterday...lol
With the forecasters rains coming that sink hole is going to grow. Thanks for the update Mike. Happy new year.

Surprises me that there is no culvert there Mike.
Might be but i couldnt see it.
You can tell loggers didn't build it
Whats a logger daddy?
Ridiculous no culvert.
I guess there could be one under there somewhere? I don't think there's ever been water there
