The part where he realised he was rude to her after she took the time to do something nice for him... I felt his embarrassment lol
Like “oh shit, I just blew it”.
You can tell underneath her defensive armor she's actually a super caring person who wants to believe in good and she sees peacemaker being way more complex then she originally thought. Everyone puts on a mask. Peacemaker I think is finally accepting the fact that his dad was a huge piece of shit who turned him into a killer but he wants to finally be more. He wants to be the super hero he keeps pretending to be. It's such a great character arc for both of them. They are both way more then the tough exterior. Peacemaker deep down I mean way deep down is a softy who is finally waking up to who he really should be. He was living as a man his dad trained him to be. But that's just not who he is. I love this show so much.
Facts my fav superhero show
PM did become non lethal for a while. Until it was eventually rectonned.
do you thing it will be reconed after flashpoint comes out
Peacemaker was never a bad guy though, he’s never been like his father. He’s never been the man his father wanted him to be he’s, not a white supremacist, he’s a killer but he kills for the right reasons, for the right intentions, he risks his life for the sake of everyone else. He has a big heart, Hes a flawed, he’s vain, he’s crude, he can be an ass but he’s a good man, who has suffered so much trauma and he’s bottled that up and masked it with the bravado and the jokes. The character is growing as a person but I don’t like how people are acting like peacemaker was such a bad guy who needed redemption. He gets so much hate for killing flag. People act like he just walked up to flag and killed him in cold blood but He pleaded with him, begged him to hand over the drive, if it was up to peacemaker they both would have walked out of there alive. He clearly didn’t want to have to kill flag a man he thought so highly of but flag gave him no choice. Peacemaker had a bomb in his head and a mission, he had to keep that information from getting out. And flag would have killed him! He almost did, if that piece of debris wasn’t in arms reach flag would have killed peacemaker, it was survival. Peacemaker was not the bad guy there, neither were, they were both put into a shit situation, it’s tragic.
.
@@Jackholiday1025 no, flag wouldn't kill peacemaker, but amanda waller would. He's just fighting for his survival here, so i understand him. Like u said, he told flag countless times to hand it over as well but he didn't. And you can also kinda see him regretting the decision right away after stabbing Flag. I gotta disagree w/ the first part a little tho. In the latest ep, vigilante said they would kill the bad guys together and when the innocent gets caught in the fire, they'll feel sorry for a moment and move on. But now, PM actually doesn't want innocent people to die. That's character development. So I disagree with you on "he's never been the man his father wanted him to be" before he gets in jail, but if current timeline on the series, then yes.
Love how he’s becoming more complex and she’s finally becoming more open I love it
Harcourt is opening up to people. I’m glad she’s slowly showing her caring side. Episode 5 was the moment that saw a change in who Harcourt is to me. For the first time, the viewer saw her happy being around people in the last episode and now she’s being open to being a friend. The character development and relationships among the team keeps getting better.
Harcourt's face when Chris was telling her how the dove of peace should had been positioned lmao I felt his embarrassment
Man's just gotten a bit of a PTSD from SS2 and hates his life right now.
He also (at least in the on-screen version) seems like someone who was abused so much as a child, emotionally stunted growth and given a limited world view. Obviously due to his dad.
@@ALwinDigital he was abused mentally and physically lol his father made him do terrible things
More like ptsd from everything in his past. TSS event was just the trigger.
He's been spending his life being the man his father trained him to be. I think for Chris, he's finally waking up to who he wants to be. That can be a huge pill to swallow. It's making him question his entire belief system in what he defines as a true hero. He can finally start being the hero he pretends to be. His dad turned him into a hardened killer.
And his father is the one to blame I can't wait for him to d!e
hartcourt feels like the mother of the group
true lol also captain locke is amazing
I get the same feeling, but in the wiki it says she is his love interest. It's probably a speculation and James Gunn is her real life boyfriend,so I am not sure if he would make it like that.
STEP PEACEMAKER
@@mudiametokunboh2370 😂
@Cameron Rice who’s the dad of the group?
I’d like to think that Peacemaker killing Rick Flag was the spark that started his change. He really looked like he didn’t want to and for the first time starts questioning himself after that
Yeah that and the near death experience with Bloodsport has changed him
Killing is wrong
Unless they are alien bugs or any extraterrestrial terrorist
On all serious though to see peacemakers growth as a character, he went from a cold brooding man who acts before thinking, to a man who questions his own motive, and although i can't see him anywhere, his voice is as loud and clear in my ears
right his character arc has been amazing
Got me with the u can't c me joke 😂
"Killing is wrong unless they are alien bugs"
Wrong killing is necessary. It’s not wrong if I kill someone in self defense to protect myself or my assets. Get that flawed logic that taking a life no matter what is wrong or unless they’re aliens outta here
I thought there was something wrong with my vision.
Glad to know many others can't see him as well.
James Gunn the only guy who can make us fall in love with some douchebag invisible guy.
Is he really that much of a douche though ? I don’t think so.
I never stopped liking him, even in the movie. All his actions make so much sense. Even killing flag. Not right but make sense.🤔
@@Jackholiday1025 He was never really a douche. The Chinese bootlicking conspiracy was just him trying to avoid any fights, regardless of how sensitive the Chinese are nowadays to Taiwan (and also to protect his Fast and The Furious movie since China was their top 5 watchers and he was promoting).
@@TheReaIestOne he had no choice, it was kill Flag or be killed by him ir Waller.
@@vanessadeaviz yeah. I agree. 🤔
Killing Flag and the near death experience really changed Peacemaker I think
He greatly respected Flag and him being forced to kill Flag in self defence, kinda broke him mentally.
I rewatched the fight scene, Flag really was about to kill Peacemaker. That stab to the heart was a survival instinct move.
@@nodinitiative You are not wrong, but I think that version of Peacemaker was going to kill Flag anyways after he refused to give over the hard drive. He is thorough after all.
@@Adino1 that is him, lying to himself
Peacemaker has PTSD flashbacks about what he’s been through shii and what he done I don’t blame him for saying he doesn’t want to kill anymore. He still going to be one my favorite characters especially Vigilante and Eagly💯
oh for sure also captain locke is cold
@@mudiametokunboh2370 he is one crazy mf😭
Definitely tho Harcourt is like the motherly figure of the team for sure
Another very powerful scene! I honestly believe Rick Flags death made Peacemaker realize he didn't want to hurt or kill anyone anymore.. He didn't want to kill Rick Flag and i believe he regrets it everyday.. Rick Flag was literally a part of the team and Peacemaker knows this.. This whole series is absolutely AMAZING and it's getting me more into DC.
Damn.. They honestly couldnt have picked a better actor for Peacemaker!
Peacemaker I love you man!!
He's turning into batman
I hope not
He def has a soul
Harcourt did not think highly of Peacemaker at first but has now come around to him. She sees him as some guy who does want to be a hero but just need some friends who understand him.
Also Peacemaker, the man who loves peace with all his heart. And said that he does not care how many men, women, and children he needs to kill to get it. He feels genuine remorse for his actions and realizes killing people is not worth it.
Also Harcourt does not admonish him for wanting to stop killing people. But because they need to get ready to fight a literal swarm of parasitic aliens who could not care less how he feels.
I just saw this 🤯🤯 my mind is blown I really hope they bring a season 2 🙏🏻
Hopefully they announce season 2 soon 🙏🏽
they will but we wouldnt get it for atleast another year cuz gunn is working on another show and his GOTG movies
James Gunn actually wants to do a season 2 he’s waiting for Hbo approval
Hoping Weasel appears either in the last episode as a cameo or season 2.
@@noelj1492 what! HBO should beg James Gunn to do it
0:25 awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
This kinda reminds me of Batman in the Justice League animated series. He has his hard rule against killing...except for aliens. He will kill them by the dozen.
Good for you peacemaker
Harcourt is nice. I'm glad she is finally becoming more comfortable around the group. I just hope she doesn't end up being in a relationship with peacemaker. The show doesn't need that at this moment.
Why not?
@@marcosmc3709 not every show needs to have the male and female lead together. Plus it would show character growth as Peacemaker is able to view her only as a friend when he originally only viewed her as a lover.
I'm pretty sure is coming anyway..unless everyone dies at the end.
@@phabiorules I agree with the first statement but at the same time it wouldn't be so bad if they end up in a relationship what was wrong with peacemaker at first is he just see Harcourt as some kind of se x partner but if they do end up in a relationship out of genuine love then it's fine.
Peacemaker trying to be a changed man.

@@vinclord4970 what man it's the truth 😂😂😂
Haven't watched the show yet. Does the death of Flagg get brought up at all? I feel like killing such a good man should have effects on his as a character at least.
Happens earlier in the series
Give it a watch
It does
its a key component of his personality change
It's outright mentioned at one point, he cries over it. And it's hinted quite often that it's the reason why he's so troubled.
Flag death directly caused his changes in the show. Give this a watch, worth every second.
The only good bug is a dead bug!
what about Murn?
@@BrokenSIMGlasses he's a exception.
What killing is the best only because you can choose whoever dies and lives or whatever
In my opinion, Christopher accidentally killing his brother set him down the path to what he was, that he justified that should he kill, it would be for his idea of 'peace'. Christopher killing Rick Flag set him on the path of redemption to question if he was actually an agent of peace, or just making excuses for his violent nature and serious abuse he suffered as a child.
" 'Peacemaker' , what a joke."
Those words and his near-death experience with Bloodsport shook him to his core, and although he didn't wanna show it in the first episodes, he knew what he was doing was wrong, and that he began to see peace in a new light. That the burden of being Judge, Jury, and Executioner was misguided and he shouldn't dictate what 'peace' really means for individuals.
All this symbolism and deepness coming from a guy who wears a toilet bowl on his head.
Strangely enough earlier he criticized Batman for this same approach. Maybe there’s something to it?
He criticizes batman for letting murderers like joker live knowing he would just break out of jail and go back to killing the innocent
I hope he still kills bad guys. We don't need a bunch of Batmans.
Hartcore is HOT 🥵 James gunn is a lucky man 😋😋😋😋😋
Peacemaker fan channel?
Oriental comes from the Latin word meaning East, by the way.
Who the hell wrote this episode?
That part of the episode was weird. I get why oriental implies racism as it's linked to images of Asia being more exotic and less American (which was used to heavily discriminate against Asian immigrants and Asian Americans), but no Asian person really cares about it as they feel it's never really been used as a slur (unlike Jap or Chinaman).
Honestly, I think that part should have been better if Peacemaker called them it and Vigilante corrected him and they shouldn't have gone on how white men don't have problems with discrimination. The extreme reaction by the team felt off to me.
After killing red flag he don’t even wanna kill no mo
It’s Rick Flagg
I think everything that happened during ‘The Suicide Squad’ made him really look back on everything. Vigilante made the point of him not used to being so reflective, as he seemingly never had to think about it.
Unless it's aliens lol
@@homogenicmp3 F aliens lol
If peacemaker had it his way both flag and him would have walked out of there alive. Flag gave him no choice, it was survival.
Chris go to therapy 🙏🏽

@@homogenicmp3 yeah, I think she probably felt bad for misjudging him and wanted to make it up.
I just want to say, the actress who plays Harcourt would be a perfect Karrin Murphy. If you know, you know.
Dresden Files is great.
And yet Peacemaker calls Batman a P*ssy for not killing his SuperVillians once and for All. Lol

“I’m fine killing aliens.” That’s literally a racist thing to say. (face palms)
Peacemaker: "I'm fine killing aliens"
Illegal aliens: "This is why people call you a racist superhero."
