hey mate we all start somewhere. i started in a 300$ warehouse kayak catching kahawai, then overtime i learnt more and ended up here. the sport is something special and even just catching small fish with no idea is enough to get you hooked! good luck on your fishing journey

Love the videos mate, do you have anything on what a good setup is to get a not kayak fishing? I’m happy to improve it overtime but knowing the essentials would be great for a beginner!

Happy to help mate. Just need to be a bit more specific, are u looking for a kayak itself or fishing Rods and tackle?

@@NomadicKayakFishing thanks! Looking for a fishing kayak. I’ve got all the fishing gear itself but yeah just keen to kbow where to start off with a kayak set up. I’m also 6ft bordering 100kg so I’m not sure what size to get etc too

No worries mate. Regardless of your size I would say don't go shorter than 4m Hull length. If you go any shorter u lose a lot of speed due to waterline length. I can only speak from experience, but I think most of the viking range are a good starting point. The reload is faster and more sea worthy than the 400 but it's a much heavier hull. Other way to go would be an Old Town PDL pedal kayak, very stable and great for long distance but much more expensive. And then their are the stealth kayaks which are extremely fast and light but much less stable. What ever way you go I'd recommend test paddling the kayak befor you buy it. Hope that this helps and tight lines! You can also dm me on instagram for a chat if u want👍
