The funny thing about this is the bobcat is more scared than anything. He's being aggressive as a survival instinct we are the ones who took over their home soo... Glad you guys put this beautiful creature in a good home! We actually think we have one here in my small town in Illinois. Hoping he doesn't have to be killed.
Look, I understand what you are trying to preach here but the bobcat killed 2 goats, a peacock, and some ducks. I have lots of other pets that I don't want killed so I don't feel bad about relocating the cat to a state forest where it will be safer, live in a better habitat, and have more food resources. And FYI. . I am of Blackfoot ancestry so try not to make assumptions about one's heritage.
"Cute-- but deadly!" You got that right, Babe! That cat moves faster than any human could at 2:25. Glad it went to a good new hunting area rather than being put down. .
He was in a residential neighborhood eating people's pets. He was also in danger of being hit by a car or trapped and killed by another family. I think he has it pretty good being let go in a state forest where he has thousands of acres to hunt and won't be in danger from humans. . .
FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE WATCHING THIS VIDEO ! That is humane, there is no need to kill, there are always other solutions. (quick tip: cover the trap with a towel or something, it will calm him/her down). Thank you for acting like a humane being.
Relocation can very easily spread disease and end up causing territorial stress on other predators upon placement. It also increases predation stress on those species lower in the food chain which can lead to very bad outcomes.
Lol it’s not traumatized. Wild animals fight other wild animals all the time, they don’t get PTSD from it. This dude is simply trapped in a cage, I’m sure he’s been in worse situations.
How do we know it was released? Do u have a video of that? Some ppl find it easier to dispose of the bodies nearby and tell the soccer mom wife that it was released humanely. Just sayin where is the release video.
That's a beautiful animal, but not a happy camper. I would advice making a tarp to fit over that cage that the animal cannot see though so it doesn't go nuts so much when you move it. It could hurt itself.
Since you are such a "sensitive person" kindly send a large sum of money to help fun our "Put the poor traumatized rat through therapy" fund raiser. Both cash, check, or money order will be excepted. Please help this poor traumatized creature regain his dignity again by helping to fund his much needed therapy, so he can finally sleep again at night with out having to use a night light.
I would not put a caged bobcat inside of an enclosed moving vehicle....should it panic and break out of that cage while in transit it would be disastrous....a pick up would be a better option
Poor thing, he's probably scared to death. Hope you all the best of luck, thanks for not killing him or the bait. Ah, it's so nice when humans work out these issues without hurting anyone :)
Beautiful animals. Take them over those raccoons any day. But you know what? Truth is, nobody really wants these kinds of wildlife around; they really belong in their natural environment: forested areas, for example. It's the relentless development and our encroachment on their habitat that's causing these felines to wander into populated areas.
It killed a goat, a peacock and a duck. I also have very tiny miniature horses that are my sweet babies. Also, all of our neighbors have small children and pets.
Ok now i see that you're located kind of near the "Picayune Strand State Forest" because i know these animals tend to live in heavily forested Areas however, they they are roaming creatures & will go where there are better chances to catch raccoons, certain fowl & squirrels & sometimes smaller Deer as the Bucks are quick & dangerous and could easily tear a Bob Cat up with it's sharp pointy antlers!!By the way, these BobCats area extremely illusive & extremely quick&fast, so lucky to see this!!
No, the rat was fine :) I made sure he always had food and water. He was scared to death I'm sure! I was going to keep him as a pet but he actually escaped after the first Bobcat was trapped. He bent the wires of the cage.
One of our chickens went missing ): & then the next day my dogs was going crazy barking, there was a bobcat just standing in are back yard, so we'er gonna try to trap in and release it!
I don't know that the rat wasn't harmed as he is obviously terrified. There is such harm as psychological harm. He or she could have died from fright too.
Inside of trapping one try owning a miniature one and she acts like a little kitten. She came running up to us meowing when we found her at our hunting club. She's got regular cat in her but when she plays she runs and growls just like this one. But she's very nice. Her name is daisy.
What size trap did you use?.. I have a bobcat issue, attacking my chickens and stalking around my yard. It has been a problem in the neighborhood... we called DNR here and nothing is done. So, I was just going to shoot it but after I saw your video I might just trap it and take it away to let it go. Thanks for the video
I am not a trapper and it wasn't my trap. I was the one that had animals killed by a bobcat and needed the bobcat off of my property. I hired someone and wasn't about to question his method in this dire situation. That being said, I would rather the rat get a little scared and then go to a good home vs. killing a cow to trap a bobcat. Imagine how the cow would feel right before it gets butchered :(
I'm glad you showed concern about the bobcat and rehomed it. But as someone who rescues rats and knows them very well as pets...I have to tell you I find that method of baiting incredibly disturbing. Rats are incredibly sweet creatures, and it's been proven that they have emotional capabilities most animals do not - such as the ability to laugh. I guess because I know exactly how a rattie's mind works I just can't agree with using a live rat. I do get the urgency of moving the bobcat though.
What a beautiful cat. It looks very healthy and lean. That being said, I woulda wore gloves while carrying that cage. They can lash out and get you pretty bad. We have a bobcat here at the animal rescue center I work at. She was raised illegally in a home so she is fat and tame like a bit house cat. Still lives outside. Very glad you trapped that cat and didn't shoot it. Should be more people like you.
You could probably make one cheaply out of large pieces of recycled cardboard to slide over the top with a flap or groove for the handle to come through and just slide it over the top. It's cool that you don't kill them. You should add to the end of this, video of your releasing it back into the wild.
I knew someone that found an abandoned bobcat kitten and raised it in their house like a kitten. He was the best fed "cat" in the world. Theywould go to the butcher and get him special cuts of meat!
It killed 2 goats, a peacock and several ducks that were pets. . . it can go be wild somewhere else where it isn't a danger to children and small pets in a residential neighborhood. Just sayin'
Poor guy. Feel so bad for him, he's so scared. But it's much better than the old alternative. Glad you got rid of him this way. There's lot's of people would probably just shot it and not tell anyone.
Yeah I had one of those in my backyard in Winchester Massachusetts. Actually very helpful animals, besides foxes and coyotes and whatnot, what will eat all the rabbits?
At least he's purring... Oh wait thats growling. Beautiful animal, but they can become a nuisance really quick. And don't ever corner one! Moving them to a new location is best.
dumb to put the bobcat in your car like that. i've seen those traps open if the trap is tipped or knocked. then you'd have a nasty animal trapped with you in the car.
I'm in Orlando and believe it or not, in Audubon park (a subdivision about 1.5 miles from the center of the city) there is a bobcat roaming our neighborhood. Seems after a foreclosure in April of 2012, the former owners just let their Bobcat loose thinking it would be okay. She ,was their pet so at least she was spayed. Though somewhat tame, she is shy and attempts to trap her have been fruitless. I'm worried someone is going to shoot her.
You should check your facts before calling a person stupid. Bobcats are the most common wild cat throughout North America. I have a permit to kill bobcats on my land but I choose not to :)
I think its crazy that government makes people get permits if they want to shoot an animal on their OWN property. I really feel I don't own my land. Government does. We can't even shoot animals that are killing our pets. Government is WAY to involved in our life. We should be allowed to do what we want on our own land.
This is a disgusting way to treat a rat. -_- You couldn't have bought a steak or something? He might not be physically harmed but can you imagine how he felt be stuck in there next to that thing? The insensitivity of some people amazes me...
I never thought bobcats sound that savage. I always imagined them sounded just a little bigger than domestic cats.
They've got a devils scream
Bobcats are bad asses. Absolutely fearless and take nothing off of nobody or other critters.
Why dont they just put a blanket over the cage dammm
The funny thing about this is the bobcat is more scared than anything. He's being aggressive as a survival instinct we are the ones who took over their home soo... Lol at :39
"You're gonna get a nice home"
Bobcat: "Don't sweet talk me!"
Maybe we should put the rat through therapy to help it recover. Kindly send some money to help fund this poor traumatized animal's therapy.
why did u put in a pet rat with him? its not that hard to catch or throw in a wild one
"Cute-- but deadly!"
You got that right, Babe!
That cat moves faster than any human could at 2:25.
Glad it went to a good new hunting area rather than being put down.
.
Deadly? Maybe for smaller animals.
he needs a hug
I volunteer you
that rat that was the bait is just like "oh gosh, don't move, don't move, don't move..."
glad to see this beautiful animal wasn't killed.
Ya that rat was beautiful.
Gotta be the best looking rat I've ever seem
Has Kk lol
I've got a ratcoon problem (also vandal kid problem too). This kitty would solve a lot of the problems that I am having lately.
Raccoon**

I agree
Relocation can very easily spread disease and end up causing territorial stress on other predators upon placement.
It also increases predation stress on those species lower in the food chain which can lead to very bad outcomes.
Yeah relocate onto someone else's property
Transporting him inside the vehicle? Too risky for me.
Exactly! The bobcats have had quite the reign of terror at our house. They killed some ducks, a peacock and a baby goat :(
I don't know which was scared more, the bobcat or the rat used as bait lol.
poor traumatized cat. this makes me sad to watch. your lucky to have them in your area.
Lol it’s not traumatized. Wild animals fight other wild animals all the time, they don’t get PTSD from it. This dude is simply trapped in a cage, I’m sure he’s been in worse situations.
That rat must be more scared though xD
Why didn' t u eat them?
are you sure the rat didn't have a heart attack later that day?
How do we know it was released? Do u have a video of that? Some ppl find it easier to dispose of the bodies nearby and tell the soccer mom wife that it was released humanely. Just sayin where is the release video.
Yes! Yes, I do think the rat is scared! I think there's most likely not even the smallest amount of sh*t left in that poor rat... -B
Beautiful animal, but that thing will shred someone.
Its a killer cat for sure
um...vital mistake here. You should always put a blanket over the cage. It calms them somewhat. Makes them feel hidden.
OoogaBoog yeah always be concerned about the cats feelings so he doesn't get offended
I live in Florida. It is a bobcat. A lynx and a bobcat are two different species in the genus Lynx. We don't have the species lynx where I live.
That's a beautiful animal, but not a happy camper.
I would advice making a tarp to fit over that cage that the animal cannot see though so it doesn't go nuts so much when you move it. It could hurt itself.
This reminds me of that time I was abducted by aliens.
Bobcat had a nice home, didn't need a new one. Everyone should have secure enclosures for their livestock or was he taking cattle?
I don't know but you can get them from Tractor Supply or maybe BassPro
Since you are such a "sensitive person" kindly send a large sum of money to help fun our "Put the poor traumatized rat through therapy" fund raiser. Both cash, check, or money order will be excepted. this is retarded
That's one mean kitty.
I don't think he wants nothing of a new home
Having read the new description in this video, that would NOT be sitting well with me....
Good luck to you. In our area, you have to have a permit to trap them so keep that in mind :)
That would be something if he got out in the car while they were driving, lol.
I found them on the Bass Pro website but youtube wouldn't let me put the link.
When an animal lashes out like that they are really just very frightened. Poor thing.
Stress of being wild animal caught in cage-95%. Stress of damn rat laughing at me-5%.
Good video.
I would not put a caged bobcat inside of an enclosed moving vehicle....should it panic and break out of that cage while in transit it would be disastrous....a pick up would be a better option
neckarsulme I'm thinking maybe they didn't have a pickup available or they would have, but good for you to point that out anyways
I wouldn't mind it would probably wander off by morning
still searching for that one video where the trap suddenly breaks...
Poor thing, he's probably scared to death. Hope you all the best of luck, thanks for not killing him or the bait. Ah, it's so nice when humans work out these issues without hurting anyone :)
Asia Rose these bobcats are vicious I trap them kill them and take the fur they kill chickens and other livestock
@@scottyoutdoors1232 he killed them because they doing what they do you probably moved in today territory so I don't blame the Bobcats
Beautiful animals. Take them over those raccoons any day.
But you know what? Truth is,
nobody really wants these kinds of wildlife around; they really belong in their natural environment: forested areas, for example. It's the relentless development and our encroachment on their habitat that's causing these felines to wander into populated areas.
What are the dimensions of that trap???
I would rather have a bobcat on my property than the pests they hunt...
What kind of livestock do you have that a bobcat could kill?
It killed a goat, a peacock and a duck. I also have very tiny miniature horses that are my sweet babies. Also, all of our neighbors have small children and pets.
Never Dull Ranch NOOOOOOO! Not the Peacock! Wait, why do you have a peacock as part of a livestock?
lmao
Nike Coro
The male's tail feathers sell pretty well. Plus they make good alarm animals.
Never Dull Ranch
Get a donkey or mule. They are great for keeping away predators.

It's less stressful for the animal if you cover the trap with a blanket while you're moving it. Just an FYI. Nice looking cat!
They are smaller versions of Tigers
Commend you and respect you a massive amount for your respect for the animals
shut the fuck up
What about the respect for the property owners or their neighbors of the new home for the cat. Keep it away from me
You don't put a blanket over top
what are the dimensions of that cage??

Pissed off lynx sounds like a 2 stroke motor starting up.
Rat's like "wait, how am I not dead?"
We have seen bobcats, coyotes, and alligators. We know other people that have seen bears, panthers and rattlesnakes!
I'm glad you showed concern about the bobcat and rehomed it. But as someone who rescues rats and knows them very well as pets...I have to tell you I find that method of baiting incredibly disturbing. I would have found if very funny if the bobcat got out while they was heading down the interstate LMAO
Put a blanket over it to keep the stress down.
grafikfeat he doesn't need a blanky
It killed 2 goats, a peacock and several ducks that were pets. . . it can go be wild somewhere else where it isn't a danger to children and small pets in a residential neighborhood. Just sayin'
how much did the trap cost
Me too! Luckily I didn't drive that cat anywhere using my car. . . the trapper took it away.
Poor guy. Feel so bad for him, he's so scared. But it's much better than the old alternative. Glad you got rid of him this way. There's lot's of people would probably just shot it and not tell anyone.
Yeah I had one of those in my backyard in Winchester Massachusetts. Actually very helpful animals, besides foxes and coyotes and whatnot, what will eat all the rabbits?
i was really really really glad to hear you say your bringing the bobcat to a new home in the forest ^-^ i was going to freak out if you didnt o.e
That is a great idea. I didn't talk to the trapper about that but I do bet that his truck smelt terrible after transporting the ticked off cat.
At least he's purring... Oh wait thats growling.
Beautiful animal, but they can become a nuisance really quick. And don't ever corner one! Moving them to a new location is best.
Nice Video Keep making these
dumb to put the bobcat in your car like that. i've seen those traps open if the trap is tipped or knocked. then you'd have a nasty animal trapped with you in the car.
Oh, come on. It looked friendly.
would you want a bobcat around your house???
Wings?
where*
Exactly! Thank you FawoOwns :)
put a blanket over the trap before moving it, that might calm the cat down a bit.
You shouldn't drag a cage along the ground with the animals paws sticking through the bottom
That is a good idea, the trapper didn't do that and the poor cat was freaked!
When my dad traps coons in a cage he always says he feels bad for shooting them untill they show teeth and growl lol
God bless you for releasing it !!!
I'm in Orlando and believe it or not, in Audubon park (a subdivision about 1.5 miles from the center of the city) there is a bobcat roaming our neighborhood. You should check your facts before calling a person stupid. Bobcats are the most common wild cat throughout North America. I have a permit to kill bobcats on my land but I choose not to :)
How did you release it?
I wasn't with the trapper when the bobcat was released.
+Never Dull Ranch Ok. No problem. Thanks for the response.
We do have livestock and already had 2 deaths :( That is why we hired the trapper. We couldn't risk losing any more of our "babies."
Where you going to take the Bobcat though
Please just READ THE DESCRIPTION
scares the crap outta me just watching this!

The insensitivity of some people amazes me...
Sounds like it's snoring
Bobcat got into Vietnam territory
wow then how do you pick it up???? do you work for peta???
After this video was filmed the bobcat was sold to the chinaman and ended up in some wan ton soup
Hahahahah
TheCobbfather and you bought it from the chinaman and ate it Fat white people eat anything lol
ahahahaha
And he cat pissed all over that car
that is a scared kitty
