I like how you discussed adding length to the CNC - it'll be a lot of work, and it won't really add functionality, but you know you're going to do it. Once you recognize that you can make this improvement, even if only marginal, you just have to do it. I understand. Boy, do I understand. Good to have you back.
Had a bar pool table. Made a top for it 4x8 sheet plywood on top with sides to keep it on. First used it for a train setup. Then converted it to a ping pong table. Covered with some kind of green heavy paper lke course sandpaper. Kids loved it.
I love your videos and have been watching them for years. It's partially because of you that I just ordered my first entry level CNC! I will definitely be re-watching a bunch of your stuff again!
Be well, others could learn from you--once in a while you need to take a step back, refresh, recharge, AND keep the most important things in life in mind... yep, that is your sanity, daughter, and wife. Whenever you get back to posting those of us that appreciate you will be here. Stress and bad driving are killers that we don't often take into account.
Laying off the caffeine lately. Been an up and down addiction all my life. Two years ago I had the longest break from caffeine and the greatest mental clarity. Then I got hooked again. Now I'm down to one cup of coffee after a cup of water in the morning.
@@JayBates2 Good for you man. I too have struggled with caffeine abuse. I've known for a few years that I had undiagnosed ADHD and that I was abusing caffeine as a way to allow myself to focus despite no other treatment. When I hit the point that I was drinking an entire 12-pack of mountain dew in a day, I decided it was time to do something about it. Talked to my doctor, got on some ADHD meds, and now I'm consistently drinking 1-2 cans/day and still able to focus. Considering you even commented that you think you might have ADHD in the video, maybe you should have a conversation with your doctor. Can't hurt! :)
@@JayBates2 Look into Sole (pronounced solay) for that first cup of water in the morning on an empty stomach. "Off Grid With Doug and Stacy" is where I first heard about it. Also, I absolutely recommend "Redmond Real Salt" for ALL salt usage. True ancient, unrefined sea salt, with no plastic since it is only mined from ancient underground mines in Utah, USA. And good to see you again!
Chronic right elbow pain that would never go away. I've tried so much to stop it but gripping hard with my right hand causes incredible tennis elbow pain in my right elbow. Basically all barbell movements hurt. Migrated back to strongman type stuff with two sandbags and I can get a good total body workout pain free. Those two sandbags and an occasional water jug carry are my entire gym now.
Today, Jay marks himself safe from VideoEdit Burnout.
Great to see you Jay. Looking forward to your next project.
Nice to see you back - it's been a while.
Hi Jay. I totally get lack of interest when it's too cold. Look after yourself and enjoy the moment.
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well on your side of the globe.
Nice to see you back Jay. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many smiles. 👍👍👍

Luv your work table. Wonder if I can talk my wife into a used pool table for a work bench ❤

Que lastima que no hablas castellano y no leo tu lengua.
Welcome back, time off deserved
But is over-caffeinated Jay still ok? Been even longer since we've seen him!

What happened to the gym in the shop? Did I miss a memo?
