Amazing how complicated they make it, first dump bag full of glas on floor, second shovel it over a smal wall, third take a bowl of it to the oven. Why not make the oven entrace a big larger and dump the bag right there?

Recycling glass into medicine bottles is praised for reducing landfill waste and conserving natural resources like sand. However, critics argue that the energy consumption during the recycling process, especially melting and reshaping glass, may offset the environmental benefits, particularly when using non-renewable energy sources.
Critics are wrong. New silica or recycled, that energy is needed to make the glass. The BIG benefit of glass and recycling it is the lack of landfill and pollution of land and sea. I'd rather glass than plastic. Here in Germany, almost all beer bottles are the same design with paper labels being the identifier. All these bottles are returned, WASHED and reused by any of the hundreds of breweries. Genius, simple and DECADES old system.
melting broken glass saves energy - its melting point is lower than that of the charge, plus it reduces the amount of debris and the amount of sand and soda extraction
I had serious anxiety watching this. Those guys walking around broken glass wearing open sandles and no eye protection. It has given me a bad case of the heebie jeebies.
It would seem to me that most of the workers in Pakistan do not live long, healthy lives. Hopefully one day they will have proper safety rules to protect them.
Wish they wore better shoes I always worry they will hurt their feet but maybe steal toes shoes are to expensive but I always like seeing what they make at these factories
What I don't get is they're taking off the labels and caps. Why not just put the whole green bottle through because the 2 different plastics separate away in the water bath. Just do 2 runs clear and green?
They need to have on gloves and boots 👢 to prevent injury and infection.a mask small pieces of glass they breathe in the USA they would not be able to work like this .they stick to safety measures .but a good deed none the less ✌🏽
Such work cannot be done as profitably in USA. Too many environmental, safety, compensation, fire code, and numerous other regulations would eat 40x the profit margin.
Nice to see everybody wearing their safety sandals...!

Recycling is a good thing, but so is safety.

Always a good idea to use nails on children's toys.
Tons of glass shards, open toe sandals, no gloves, no eye protection.... WHAT COULD GO WRONG???
Health and safety and its finest 😮

They can build and fix anything except for simple foot coverings.
Incrível 😮
I just watched the video where they turn bottles into cups. This looks like the ends they break off are being made into something else!
They work in a foundry with those flip flops.
No....those are Safety Sandals

Those guys working with the glass . I'd bet money they could run through multi floral rose and never wince .

Truly amazing the am9unt of work, and skill involved in such an overlooked everyday item.

Crazy amount of double handling
I also hide my bottles 😂 but like in the bottom of the recycling.
Es increíble como trabajan sin las más mínimas normas de seguridad

The wheeled horse isn't a child-safe toy. The nails will eventually work themselves loose.
The child will be old enough to be working in the bottle recycling workshop before the toy horse breaks.

That would suck to fall down on top of all that broken glass! Yikes!
So why did they dump it on the floor, To then turn around and shovel off the floor, Into the bin right next to where they dumped it on the floor?

Amazing, but eye protection would seem to be well worth it and not all that expensive........Please
Hey does it smell like glass dust in here?
First step, why not just open the bags of glass into the bin instead of on the floor only to shovel it in anyway?
