I am a depression patient.. i watch ur videos to actually help me relax and fall asleep sometimes dreaming i am also on holiday staying overnite in a ferry.. tq so much for your videos..
Oh dude I'm dying of laughter at the treadmill exercise scene 😂 "Road to icecream" and then you actually get an icecream! 😂😂😂 Youre so funny Solo-san 🤣 Arigato gozaimasu 🤘🤩🤘
This was a lovely, smooth sailing. The ship was pleasant, the room looked comfortable, and the food was gorgeous. Thanks for letting us travel with you again.
It makes me drool! I hear it with a Japanese accent/pronunciation when I see it written or an image of it. It makes rice cakes even less appealing when I’m snacking & watching
I want to thank you STJ! I will be in Japan in October. At one point I need to travel from Sendai to Hokkaido. I was going to fly but you have convinced me to take the overnight Taiheiyo Ferry. I am so looking forward to it! Thank you once again!
You know, for having a room to stay, 3 full meals, AND transportation - the price for that suite is really reasonable. Ferries are a great way to travel.
A soaking bathtub on a ferry sounds heavenly to me. As always, your videos make me envious of the Japanese ferry system. Things are so beautiful on the Shin Nihonkai…
The meals included were fabulous; my mouth was watering. The junior suite looked comfortable; the bathroom was big enough and had a bathtub, nice.I would definately try this one.
When they have all the utensils laid out on the table for a multicourse meal, you always use the outermost utensils for the plate of food given to you. Also, a bisque is a type of soup traditionally made with the shells of whatever type of crustacean is contained within the soup. As the bisque contained sweet prawns, the broth contains the crushed up shell of sweet prawns as well as pieces of sweet prawn.
As usual you took me on a great ferry ride with beautiful scenery. You also made this old lady laugh. I love your sense of humor. Thank you, from NC, USA. 😂❤
When we lived in Japan, we took the ferry to Hokkaido for the ice festival. The seas were so rough that EVERYONE was getting sick, even the Navy sailors. Coming back wasn’t so bad, but I will never forget the trip north. The ice festival itself was worth it -absolutely spectacular creations!
After watching your videos during the pandemic I started learning Japanese. I don't know if I'll ever need to use it, but I do make カレーライス at home and can get it at some restaurants nearby, but so far I like the Vermont Curry brand roux blocks better than the nearby Japanese restaurants. Even if I never go to Japan, it's still good to learn something difficult like another language. It keeps your brain healthy. ありがとうございます
I love how the Japanese take a simple ferry excursion to the next level of comfort and luxury, all at a very affordable price. I am late watching this, but I want to thank you for your generosity and time to put this video together for us :)
Wow. This was fancy, shmancy meals. I keep forgetting this is a ferry and not a cruise ship. If I ever wanted to try a dinner course that has more utensils than I have fingers on one hand and feel out of place eating, this would be it. The presentations are exquisite and almost too beautiful to eat. I can now see why meals are about quality and not quantity across the pond.
High priced meals with less concern about quantity can be had anywhere, including the United States and there's loads of inexpensive restaurants and foods in Japan if you want to eat a lot for cheap. But it's true that portion sizes are generally larger here than many other parts of the world. It's also more common to take leftovers home, many servers in many countries would be confused by a request for a to-go box. But if you want a gourmet meal, plated beautifully, at a table set with fresh linen, even the smaller cities here have them.
That Junior cabin is just PERFECT for one or two. The beds looked beautiful . Thank you for the video! I love ferries😊❤❤❤ p.s. ... that food was beautiful😍
Thank you for sharing your lovely sailing and dining experience. It looked decadent and very tasty. Looking forward to the next meal revue.👏 🍣🥢🍚🦐 🕊️⚓♥️🌊🎵
This is the best ferry, junior suite gives feeling of a home, sofa, writing desk, a phone (good to have, ferry is so big if there is an emergency), dinning table, a table with beverages n fridge, bathroom with tub, n the food looks so delicious, beautiful display....i wish to go on board this ferry. Haha...the treadmill, less than 5 mins 😂😂😂😂. Thanks for this amazing video.
You're always very informative, Solo. Winsome photography showing everything one would want to know about the ship and the cabin. The food was so artful! I'm pleased for you that it was as delicious as it was beautiful.
Thank you for this video and all your videos. They're relaxing, I like learning about Japan so all the extra info you add is wonderful. And all your videos have made me want to explore everything about Japan. 😃
My dear friend you could have put me in your suitcase lol jk beautiful man I so appreciate your videos it makes me feel like I'm right there much love to you from USA aka Virginia please be safe have fun ❤❤
The interior decor is decades old in style, but it looks clean. Yes, with utensils, you start outside, and work your way in. The utensil above your plate is for dessert. And, bisque is a creamy French soup made with a seafood stock. It is often shrimp or lobster.
Arigato for the video! Very nice ship and room, and the food looks great. By halfway through the video I was starting to think "where the heck is ANYone?" LOL it was like you're the only passenger!
Well of course ur ready to eat. Everything looks delicious. So where is the rest of my Potato? Did they split it with the rest of the guests?😂. They owe you the rest of ur Potato. Love it
It's always so surreal when you get (almost) entire service to yourself! Last summer I was 2,5 day cruise here on the Baltic. On the return trip I pretty much had the entire "Premium Lounge" with all the services to myself. Staff told me that there was like only 10-15 people total in this entire "lux class" and if it was any less, they'd closed down the cafe/bar and just provided full-on room service for all of us entirely free. Even now they they asked us to "pre-order" if we wanted any heated pastries etc so nothing went stale out in the open. I was so blown away when I was allowed to use the Sauna/Spa they had freely that evening as long as I wrote the cabin number to the list on the door, booked the couple of last hours straight away! Spent like 2 hours just roasting myself in sauna and hot tub with forward facing windows and I had the server on-call if I would have wanted any drinks. ABSOLUTELY the best cruise experience I've ever had, even if they didn't have cabin type I would've preferred on that ship. And I just love these "smaller" ferry-type cruises and ships in general. They usually run with such a small front staff that they, and you, really get to know each other during those trips, no matter how long or short they are!
Glad to have joined you on the ferry. Interesting room decor. As you said, it was unique. Your breakfast seemed a little wanting, but lunch and dinner was well presented. Too bad about the sunrise, but the sea was consistently beautiful. Will catch you in the next one. Take care, stay safe.
Ahhh Bisque!!! I live in Brittany in France and this is a speciality! Bisque is a method of extracting flavor from the whole shellfish carcass. In an authentic bisque, even the shells are crushed to obtain a fine paste which is added to thicken the soup. The bisque is then thickened using rice , which can either be winnowed to leave only the starch, or pureed in the final phase. Delicious! I love your videos (and your wonderful sense of humour ~ ‘Curry freak’ indeed!). I don’t just watch your videos once, I keep returning to enjoy them again and again. I’ve always been very interested in Japan, it’s culture and it’s cuisine. In my work I had the opportunity to travel to many foreign lands but, unfortunately, I never did manage to get to Japan 🥺. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy your country and discover what I missed 👍🇯🇵👍
I think that was the best looking ferry food yet. Must have had a culinary school grad in the kitchen showing off. Makes me wonder what the food was like in the other dining room.
Goodness me what a fine dining experience on board a ferry. I think Japan must have the best transport system and system food in the world. And you don't have to tip. You certainly would not get such good food in the UK and no way are our transport as clean as there. We have too many rowdies who hate to see nice things. Your rivers are so clean too whereas here they are full of supermarket trollies and rubbish. Love your videos and your humour thank you so much ❤🙂👵
I am a depression patient.. i watch ur videos to actually help me relax and fall asleep sometimes dreaming i am also on holiday staying overnite in a ferry.. tq so much for your videos..

This was a lovely, smooth sailing. The ship was pleasant, the room looked comfortable, and the food was gorgeous. Thanks for letting us travel with you again.
running for 2 whole minuets is definitely deserving of a treat
The meals may have been gorgeous, but I miss the curry rice.
Me too
It’s kinda the staple of the channel!
It makes me drool! I hear it with a Japanese accent/pronunciation when I see it written or an image of it. It makes rice cakes even less appealing when I’m snacking & watching
I still have never tried it but I want to so badly! I've never seen it for sale anywhere.
Oh please! If I never see him get another curry dish, it'll be too soon.
I want to thank you STJ! I will be in Japan in October. At one point I need to travel from Sendai to Hokkaido. I was going to fly but you have convinced me to take the overnight Taiheiyo Ferry. I am so looking forward to it! Thank you once again!

The door to your suite was swankier than your actual suite! Another great voyage you took us on, STJ! Thank you!
Minute 15:20 “Independent tomato 🍅 and broccoli 🥦.” 😂🤣😂
Crunch...lol...
A soaking bathtub on a ferry sounds heavenly to me. As always, your videos make me envious of the Japanese ferry system. Things are so beautiful on the Shin Nihonkai…

Another Japanese ferry with the WOW factor! Beautiful, stylish design for all to enjoy.

Hello from VI Ladysmith. I appreciate how clean the ferries are. Your cleaners and staff do a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing
😲 That Spring-themed dinner was magnificent! Wishing I could have joined you! 😋✌️😎
I have NEVER seen the Sea of Japan that calm...excellent trip.

Thats awesome JK really inspiring
Great job! I'm in the very beginning of doing the same thing, and you give me inspiration to keep going!
These are so interesting and relaxing to watch, im obsessed
Wow the sashimi bento is a work of art
Can't get over the standard of cuisine, absolutely amazing!
As far as i know, yes, you always start at the outside of the set of cutlery. Soup spoon is usually round.
You took us to another level! Thanks for sharing 😊
You should call this video "The Road To Ice Cream". Loved it, as usual.
Thank you for your videos, I love them all!
Fantastic content and as always entertaining and hilarious commentary, thankyou for another brilliant upload ❤
FIRST! Thank you always for the interesting videos.
Those meals looked stunning! The tempura looks just like what is served at my favorite Japanese restaurant offers, but the rest of it? Exquisite.
I enjoy your videos. You have a good sense of humor.
I love how the Japanese take a simple ferry excursion to the next level of comfort and luxury, all at a very affordable price. I am late watching this, but I want to thank you for your generosity and time to put this video together for us :)
the catered meals were absolutely beautiful!
This is awesome. So much fun.
Stunning ship and a great video....Thank you.
This trip has lots of nice food!
Beautiful sunset
What an excellent trip.
These are the most soothing videos.

I love tempura, especially ebi and pumpkin.

2 minutes on the treadmill is better than 0 minutes on the treadmill, good work.

Thanks for the upload. Appreciated.
Awesome!
Just in time another Solo Travel video.. Thank you...
Glad to see you were wearing your special ‘exercise jeans’ 😂
部屋は家族6人でも最高だよね❤ご飯はバイキングに限るよ😂
You got it right with the flatware. From the outside in. Bisque is just a thick/creamy soup with goodies in it.
Hope we get to travel to Japan one day ❤
Great and interesting content. I like it. Thanks. 👍👍👍😍😍😍

Looks like a relaxing way to spend time
Lovely trip. The food looked wonderful!
You had me at Tempura..mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Bisque is a French style of soup, seafood base with cream and either finely ground shells or rice used as a thickener.
Plating looked amazing :)
i like this vdo
That's just enough fancy food to give you strength to make it to the buffet line😂😂
😂😅😂❣️❣️❣️
Real fancy I enjoy this trip
What a great trip with you
Thanks ♡
The bus to the ferry terminal is well priced.
I think that was the best looking ferry food yet. Must have had a culinary school grad in the kitchen showing off. Makes me wonder what the food was like in the other dining room.
Thanks!
Thanks for the super thanks.
Oh, that dinner looked exquisite! The bisque was mouth-watering. With that much heavy exercise you probably could have gone for another 17-ice...
That was cool I really enjoyed and something that I would love to do if I get back to japan again
Finally a ferry with some colour. This is a nice change from the sterile hospital white 😊
Very fancy this time. 👏🏻
I was worried you might not get any rice at all until I saw your dinner! Looks like you had a very pleasant time on board.
An excellent video of your journey. Makes me want to join you.

I couldn't eat that cuisine, but everything else looked very nice.
You could if your hungry enough
I hope the independent tomato and broccoli can find happiness together one day.
i want to get on that road too if it leads to ice cream! lololol
fare include food very good
