Since the beginning of September, I'd been learning this song for my girlfriend who loves Disney/Pixar, and this film in particular. I'd been learning it from sheet music (I'm much more of an ear player than sight-reader, and it was 7 pages of more complicated stuff than I'd ever played), so I could surprise her with it on our 2 year anniversary.
She left me last month, out of the blue. It was the worst heartache I've ever felt. I didn't see it coming at all. I thought we were going to grow old together.

I found this song incredibly enjoyable to play. I have been practicing this song for about 3 months around 30 minutes a day. I mainly wanted to learn this song to play in front of my class, but I didn't know if I would be able to play through the whole song before I had to play (there were parts where I couldn't play, and I had to play in about 2 weeks). There was a point where I almost gave up entirely on the song, but I pulled myself together and practiced even harder. The 30 minutes turned into a couple hours of practicing a day. The day came where I had to play this song in front of everyone. I was extremely nervous, but went through with it. I am so glad I learned this song, and i'm also glad I didn't give up.

This song hits my eyes. I remember when my dad was away so my aunt, Marylin, would take me places everywhere. She had a son(my cousin) that I could play with, and I loved her deeply, as she put a puncture in my heart. She would call me baby doll and me and my older brother hung out with her. She had many complications but doctors were able to save her.
Marylin got home one night, with intense depression and didn’t want dinner. She just wanted to go to sleep. When it was my cousin’s bedtime, she wouldn’t move, and he even pushed her, and yelled in her ear. She wouldn’t move, and my cousin asked grandma what to do. She said lay on her and she will move. She didn’t move however. The next day my brother and dad got up and I was not there at the time, my mom had custody of me. She was stiff and freezing, as rigor mortis had struck. She couldn’t move and was pale. Grandpa tried CPR and everything, but couldn’t do anything.
Once she was in the hospital, the heart beat sensor was turned on, but the heart line kept moving straight. I’ll miss her forever. Even if she is gone, the memories should not disappear.

I remember when I was 11 I saw this movie. At the end I got so sad so my mom asked why and I said “because they’ll never see each other again. Some time later I was on RUclips and I found this song again. I loved it so much that I begged my mom for a piano for Christmas, and I got one. I started learning this song. Wow, listening to Just the music without the animation, it actually does describe married life. The first part of the song is carefree and fun, with a few slow parts but it picks up. Then as it goes deeper into the song, the music starts to slow and grows more depressing as married life moves on, and we know it's coming close to death, or the "end" of marriage.

In the beginning, the song is upbeat and happy, just like Carl’s life when Ellie was alive. As the song progresses it gets more and more happy and upbeat, until the middle section. The middle section is slow tempo and sad, like Carl’s life once Ellie passes. All it’s missing is an upbeat ending to fit in with when Carl meets Russel.

I've been in this depressive state for the past two years and I can't make myself feel anything. My grandfather died of old age this year and my aunt that took care of us for as long as I could remember passed away from lung cancer today. I resent myself because I want to cry so bad but I can't seem to care a whole lot. I don't know how to put it, of course, I care a lot but something seems out of place. I searched for this piece specifically and I bawled my eyes out listening to this. It cleared the fog in my head and made me remember the times I had with her. Music is a powerful thing, it's the wind that guides our sail when the waves are rough.

The thing that gets me about this song is it's so incredible 45 seconds in. The melody is infectious, and disney will use it all the time, but only the first 10-20 seconds in that key. It doesn't give away the visual story of this movie, which is one of the most gutwrenching, tearjerking, heartbreaking things they've produced outside of old yellar. The same keys are produced and you can feel your body and soul change as the beat and keys change.

My father was a mechanical engineer. The smartest guy I knew. He would teach me math. We had an auto shop, a garage for fixing cars. He would always ask for my help and give me around 50 pesos everyday (around 1 dollar more or less).
He always wanted me to pursue Electronics Engineering, because it was the future of the world or so he says.
Maybe once a week we would go to a Chinese fast food, me, my brother, my mother, and him. We were on the up and up.
A couple of years back, he died. I went on and became an Electronics Engineer, just like he wanted. I still miss him to this day. It still feels unreal. What I wouldn't give to be back on that garage and helping him fix a car.
But you did what he asked you to do. You should be proud. Not many can actually do that.

Either it’s been a while since they’ve gotten together to play online and as a result they’ve grown apart and are more strangers now then friends.
Or even worse, and he has my heartfelt condolences for it, his friend passed away, and it turns out that that moment seven years ago, before his friend left for dinner, was the last time they would ever play online together ever again. The fact his account says the last time his friend was online seven years ago serves as a reminder of that last morning, afternoon, or evening they would spend playing video games.
Sadly, these are both experiences many of the more older individuals in gaming have experienced. The advent of Halo on Xbox 360 brought so many of us together for a bout of CTF on Valhalla or to create some of the most insane maps in Forge.
But things happen, friends get busy with life or some pass away sooner then we expect, and now those moments are even more significant. Especially when you look at their account and see the last time they’ve been online was seven years ago.

Oh gosh this song never fails to put some tears in my eyes everytime I hear this
I usually have a hard time opening up to someone after my mother passed away when I was 14 from a tumor in her head that was cancerous. I had the faintest memory of her watching me messing around on the piano. it was just a perfect moment that I still hold dear to my heart. After she passed I promised her and myself that one day I’ll learn to play the piano and learn to play this song. She taught me that no matter how dark might get to keep fighting for what I love and find the strength to keep going. Now I’m 21 and I’m finally taking lessons to learn to play in her memory. So that maybe one day I’ll be able to play for my wife just like how I wanted to play for her. It’s crazy to think because her date when she passed is coming up and I just needed to share this to someone. I love you so much ma I will continue to spread the love that you passed down to in my heart along with my other siblings. I promise I’ll be the best son and hopefully one day father to my wife. When my dog passed away, I was upset and did a slideshow to this song of all these pictures of him. Sometimes I just listen to it to remind me of all the good times we had. It always brings me to tears but there always good ones.

2 years ago my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and only a couple months after the fact she already succumbed to it and died. Disneys UP was one of her favorite movies, last but not least because of it's excellent intro. These days this melody is my instantaneous trigger to cry - no matter where I am. Never really had the opportunity to tell my mum how much i appreciated all she had done for me, since I'm disabled myself she was always there for me, taking care of me. Until she wasn't.

I learned this whole thing over about one month by skipping most of lunch and spending about 45min practicing with a slight background on piano.
The hardest part was each hand playing a different part one playing bass clef and the other playing treble clef.

Those are the people that you should love most, and when living to the fullest, live with having everyone in mind. Because everything goes away in the end, and try to make the best of things, when they are still around. This is what I thought of when listening to this song.

As a guitarist for life, I tried to be a pianist because of musical pieces. I just realized that its so hard to learn piano even you have perfect pitch, good eargasim. Experience,practice and patience is very important. Im still messin my hands of in keys, and this is the first music ill learn today.

I miss the good old days.
After school, I’d go home, and right away get on Minecraft and talk with my friends, we’d talk for hours and hours until it was time for dinner.
I miss all the Minecraft let’s plays I used to watch, or the black ops trolling videos. I’d sit on the couch for hours eating chips.
The good days were amazing, talking about COD at school, Minecraft or Roblox.
But I notice the sudden change in people now, it feels, less, happier.
I remember when you could state your own opinion about something to someone and they’d be fine with it (or at least the people I’d talk to were)
But now, people will start a massive argument
I feel that everything, is falling apart. I’ve lost friends, and even lost people in my family.

@Lizzie Rose To get the nostalgic feeling again, I went back to minecraft anddd helll! A lot has changed! I like the changes but, I miss all the old times I had with minecraft.
Ouch.
I honestly feel like minecraft raised me and so many others around the world, even when times were tough. I know it's just a game but the sense of knowing your friends would always be on when you get on was just incredible.
I, like many others, started to play fortnite. It was good for a while, then it just lost that spark of excitement that it gave me. Especially when my friends were no longer online. I had just recently started playing minecraft again and it isn't the same. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, the game still keeps the same nostalgic feeling but just because I came back, doesn't mean that all of my online friends will. They were the BEST and I truly wish them nothing but happiness because they left a imprint in my memory that will last for a lifetime. It was always so fun to get on and know they too would be there. They would join your game and you guys would do nothing but have fun. Eventually though, one of you would get off so the other would as well. Then it was a cycle. A wonderful, magical cycle that is my childhood. I'm gonna be honest, it's been a bit tough at my home and now, I don't have that same game to escape my real life. I miss my buddies. I know they probably have better things to do but the things I would do just to play one more game with them. No other game will ever be there for me like minecraft was. I just want to thank them for raising all of us.

This actually happened to me and I’m now listening to this song.
Met the most special girl in my last semester of university.
I had to move back to my home country.
The last night, we talked for 3 hours about many things. Only her and me, until more friends came to say goodbye.
I took a cab to the airport. I offered to drop her off. I went out of the cab. I smiled and hugged her. I told her she was so special and I couldn't believe she existed. Then, I said goodbye holding back my tears. She said goodbye and we hugged one last time.
