    Great video. Has helped me determine that I need 155º hinges. I have 40mm thick doors, but the blum installation guide says max 28mm thick. How thick is the MDF you used in this video? When you stacked a second sheet on it, it appeared to be similar to 40mm... if so then I think this will work for me :)

    Very helpful video - thanks. Greetings from Canada. I’m building a cabinet with an inset door and slide-out shelves. I’m looking at using the 155 degree blumotion hinge. The catalogue says I should use a 9 mm spaced mounting plate. I’m not sure what that means - cam you please help me?

    Would this work with a frameless inset door?

    Will this hinge also work on a face frame cabinet? I have overhang due to a mirror and your video was great in telling me that can be accomodated. Thanks Joe Q

      I have seen it used for that purpose.
      To be sure, maybe get a pair in your possession and test the geometry.
      I have not found exact specifications for the clearances.

    I have Blum 155 zeros protrusion hinges that I've just installed, have adjusted them to their maximum left/right clearance and the doors still overlap in the middle a full 1cm. The manufacturer swears they built the doors & cabinets to spec but nothing I do will make those doors close. Any suggestions?

    Do you know of any concealed hinge that would accommodate a one and a half inch overlay while also being mounted on the inside wall? All I can find is Blum 39C355B.24 Compact BLUMOTION 39C, and that's mounted on the edge, which I'm trying to avoid. This is driving me nuts.

    • @HelmreichJoineryBemboka

      I have not used any concealed hinge that does more than about 23mm ~15/16" which is much lees than you are looking for.
      Also the Blum 39C355B.24 does not operate the same way as the hinges in this video, as it has a single pivot point.

    Would the 155 degree zero protrusion hinge work with a thicker overlay. Im looking for a soft close hinge to use on a toy box ive built and I need a hinge that will give me a 30mm overlay.

    Thanks for the video. I want to change my existing hinges to zero protrusion. Is it simply a swap job or would there be visible holes?

    Are the 155 degree hinges self close?

    • @HelmreichJoineryBemboka
      @HelmreichJoineryBemboka  4 года назад

      Yes, the add on is the damper.

    • @tylerhein
      @tylerhein 4 года назад +1

      @@HelmreichJoineryBemboka do you think I could use these hinges (155 degree) horizontally, the project I'm working on has a 6.5" (165mm) door which swings down. I like the zero reveal of these hinges, just unsure if they will keep the door from falling down. Any advice?

    • @HelmreichJoineryBemboka
      @HelmreichJoineryBemboka  4 года назад +1

      @@tylerhein I can't see why not.
      I would probably make a mock up to check that everything does what you want.

    Thanks for the great video and detail. I'm installing cabinets flush with a wall so the doors will be super-tight. The 110-degree hinges are exactly what I need to be sure the doors have clearance to open/close properly. Do you happen to know the Blum model number of the 110-degree hinges you used in the video?

    • @HelmreichJoineryBemboka
      @HelmreichJoineryBemboka  6 лет назад

      I use the term 110 degrees a little loosely, there are 107 deg. and 110deg. but for the purpose of the exercise I just say 110.
      The simplest available is the part number 75T1590B which is 107deg. Inserta, full overlay.
      The one with integrated soft close 'Blumotion', Inserta, 110deg, full overlay is .71B3590
