As a cashier, I promise we don't care if you ask us to change how we're bagging your stuff, as long as you're polite. We're thinking about what time we get to go to lunch. I recognise most people don't want to make conversation at the register, but if you ask us how our day is going, we will go out of our way to help you. Treat us like human people and we will treat you like a monarch.
As a kid who works in costumer service, specifically at the registers, I very much appreciate the way you talked about your cold-drink-hot-lunch story because you're right, that doesn't make sense to put the cold drink into a bag, much less with the warm food but honestly maybe radion was having an off day or maybe radion likes everything all together when he checks out so you giving him the benefit of the doubt strikes a good chord with me. This has been a long and convoluted comment but it needed to be said
you seem like a very observant person. typically when somebody is very observant they are also very harsh and judgmental. it’s pleasantly surprising to see that you manage to be so observant yet so wholesome and respectful with your observations. you have a very creative and kind mind and i appreciate the content you make
@@Saber23 i was just saying that most people that are very observant and analytical tend to judge and pick apart everything while peter manages to be observant in a respectful and friendly way while appreciating everything instead of picking it all apart. i dont know what your issue is

Interesting thing you brought up about the checkout person and grocery bagger. My partner works at the grocery store, and he said it's nice when people don't seem to pay attention as much. Also the grocery bagger is ALWAYS trying to get things right for the customer and if they do things right long enough, they can get a promotion to other parts of the store. Just thought I'd throw that in there if you were interested to know how that works on the "other side" of the aisle :)
That is very interesting, thanks for sharing! I understand that people don’t want to be cashiers and baggers forever, but the idea that their display of a continued level of proficiency at that position is the only thing that will get them a “promotion” to a different position which they may not be good at reminds me of something called the “Peter Principle”: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle
I was at a bookstore recently with a friend and purchased a fountain pen. I have not used one in many years and it is so great and smooth and inspiring to draw with. I usually paint with watercolor but the pen and small notebook I bought can be taken with me anywhere. You are inspiring. Happy drawings and peace to all here.
the shell-like stone Opal gave you is indeed a fossil: an ammonite! they are an extinct type of mollusks whos abundance makes finding fossils of their shells quite common! and yes, thats where the pokemon Omanyte’s name comes from! the fossil is said to bring luck and happiness! the other stone looks like it was polished clear quartz, which is apparently good for clearing your mind! thanks google lol
Awkwardness in UK supermarkets is reduced by shoppers bagging their own groceries. BTW, I've never come across the name Radion, but it reminds me of my Parkzone Radian RC glider, the Radian (my favourite angle measurement), and Rodion Romanovich Raskolnikov, the protagonist of Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (a great read, as it happens).
honestly im a fountain pen beginner but the information you give me and your rambles ontop of these epic drawing have been making my days, you rock man
A person named Radion does not mean we are getting closer to the fallout universe. It means that Art like Games, Movies, Music, and graphical art has a strong influence on the world around us.
9:37 I’ve always loved the fallout games but used to think the npcs were kind of unrealistic and too intentionally interesting (if that makes any sense) but the more people I meet and the more I experience in life I realise the world is actually kind of like that. Everyone’s unique and there’s so many of everyone it’s inevitable that you come across people and things that are similarly unbelievable
Awesome drawings, nice video Peter. Thank you. I just had to be comment 101. Btw, I love my Kaweco Sport pens too, they're very reliable and so easy to carry. Best wishes.
The flat spots are generally because there’s a lock for when people take the cart too far. If you keep pushing it when the one wheel is locked, it ruins that wheel
Love you Peter!! You’re my favourite artist not just because your art is great, but because you’re very calming to listen to and always leave me feeling inspired to create! :3 💜
I work in a store, and use a cart for most of my shift, and always make sure I get one with new wheels, I can stand the janky, rattly, loud, curve-by-themselves carts!!!!! Lol 🛒
Hullo Peter, I enjoyed watching this video and listening to your grocery shopping stories. I have seen the wheels on carts in our area go flat on one side when left out in the parking lot on a hot summer day, they just seem to melt in the high temperatures we get 110+ so is that something that could happen in your area? It might not even take that high of a temperature to flatten a wheel? I hope you dedicate a video to viewer mail soon, I have no idea how much you truly get but I find it very interesting to see how much your viewers and fans care for you and are willing to take a chance and send you mail and presents too! Please take care, be safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
I like to bag my own groceries because I tend to have less bags to carry that way cause I just shove as much stuff in willy nilly. As a former cashier, though a good way to avoid the cold drink in a hot bag I think would be to say that you'll take it out of the bag cause your gonna drink it now. You could really commit and actually start drinking it then but I promise no one will care or notice if you put it in a different bag on your way out
I heard an explanation for the flat spot of the wheel on the carts and that is that the carts lock a wheel when they get too far away from the store that owns them to prevent stealing. Don't know if it's that or just that sometimes the low quality wheels seize up and therefore wear down one spot as it skids along
I work at a pizzeria and we also serve salads anand icecream to go too. It's always confusing to me if I should put the salad, in a styrofoam box in a bag, on top of the hot pizza box when checking people out for pickups. Obviously I wouldnt put an icecream on top of the pizza box but what about the salad...what's your guys thought?
Hi Peter, that “helix fossil” is an amonite (I’m pretty sure). I’ve got a couple of smaller ones myself. I have collected rocks for some time. Since you seem to enjoy them, perhaps I will send you one or two and some info about them. Have a wonderful evening, Internet buddy. -Wyatt D.

I would guess that Peter is an ISFP personality type. Introverted sensate feeling perceiver. High agreeableness and creativity, moderate neuroticism, openness and intellect.
I think i would probably just hand you the cold drink unless you aren't pushing a cart. If you're carrying the bags i would put it in with the cold things
On hot items work cold ones, I don't know why it's not just common sense. Whenever I go to Jack in the Box and order, say stuffed jalapenos and cheesecake to go, they ALWAYS put the cold buttermilk dressing in with the hot jalapenos. I guess it makes sense, because they're eaten together, but I don't want hot buttermilk dressing when I get home. I've recently received a mobility scooter. My concerns about flat wheeled shopping carts are over. I either put the goods in my basket or on the "floor" of the scooter. Yahoo! I really enjoy your videos, but I never expect to doodle as freely as you do. : )
