    Also if you tap drink flask while drinking flask, you will drink twice without having to do the full drinking animation. You did it in a previous episode but not sure if you noticed.

    Current death count : 51
    The death count slowed down since the first 4 parts .
    Well you said you wanted to see more than just the castle so they gave you a creepy new area .

    Lol, I love watching this but it's so painful haha.
    Gets rare black knight drop, stuffs it in box.
    Dreaming of that elevator being a new place, me knowing it's back to the very beginning.
    Gets gold pine resin, wastes it.
    And bro loves spears but is sitting on the Halberd, AHHH!
    And stop upgrading your armor!
    I love it! So entertaining! But boy do I want to yell at my screen haha!

      That's what I'm loving in this playthrough though. A lot of the advice are good but I kind of wish people wouldn't give so many that are like "Do this" or "Don't do this" you know
      Your first playthrough of Dark Souls is really special and it would be really interesting if he was going completely blind, I mean he was doing super well even when he was super blind!
      Of course advice like "Don't upgrade armor!" is good definitely, but at the same time it's kind of a "min-maxing" type of advice, like if you want to optionally get more of your resources, instead of a "you will get stuck if you do this" type of advice. The only one I agree to tell anyone tho is Resistance, since leveling up resistance really is useless. But if he wants to upgrade armor, it would be interesting to see!
      Still throughly enjoying the playthrough though!

    In response to question at 27 mins. Most people typically focus on 1 area until they do pretty much everything while keeping not of other areas the time have yet to visit, but it's not uncommon for people to find an area tough or confusing so they change area for a while.

    The storage box Is definitely clunky in this game. It improves in the future (it's for storing items so you don't have to look trough 50 weapons to find the one you want faster

    Remember the dialogue the crestfallen warrior told you when you arrived at Firelink Shrine
    "One's up above, in the Undead Church. The other is far, far below, in the ruins at the base of Blighttown."
    Also, there *was* one more door in the drake bridge that you forgot about...

    The map is really interconnected, as you first saw with the bonfire in the burg, and now again with the elevator. You can often see other areas in the distance too.
    I'd just like to point out, regarding your concerns with getting invaded by other players, that you spent almost the entire episode (and a good bit of the previous one) with your humanity restored. In other words, you could have been invaded at any time - but it didn't happen, so you can see it's not always a big risk. It does kind of depend on the area though: Undead Burg doesn't have a lot of invaders, while some other areas are known PvP areas.

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks Ethan... yeah, it's wasn't too bad running around as a human. Are there really any benefits I should consider, outside of being able to call for help? Currently, I figure if I am human due to kindling a fire, I'll just run that until I die, and then stay in my undead form until I kindle again - unless there is another bonus/reason to do it.

    • @ethanlivemere1162
      @ethanlivemere1162 3 месяца назад +2

      @@BenjamightGaming The benefits of walking around human are:
      - You can summon people
      - If you come across a bonfire you want to kindle you only have to spend 1 humanity
      - I think you can only invade while human but I don't think you'll be doing much of that
      - You don't look like beef jerky :)
      So yeah, usually you'd only become human to kindle. Though don't be afraid to summon an NPC if you really struggle on a boss. Solaire, the sun knight you met who first explained summoning, can be summoned for most bosses.

    I would say undead burg is more of a medievil castly town/city built up high off the ground. Not castle necessarily. However if undead burg is this big and fortified what would a castle really be like in these games?

  • @theceptorperson9570

    I don't know if someone already said this in a future episode of yours, but one of the reason to save multiple weapons is if you want to have multiple type of ascension to them. When you ascend them, I believe you cannot un-ascend them anymore, at least not in this game. So you might want to have multiple of the same weapons but with different properties. In case you want to use your Fire Shortsword for example on an enemy which is strong against fire, then you use the other Shortsword you have.
    Other than that though, there's no reason, and it's mostly used for PVP. Most people just use one weapon even if it's weak against the current boss, or use another weapon altogether.

    Man, and in my last video I just commented about how I was wondering if you'd hit the rare drop table on the Black Knights and by god you really just hit it on the very next one.
    Black Knight Sword is a great weapon and definitely good enough to build your entire character around. I understand if you're really digging the pole-weapon route and are already far enough into Dex that you're just gonna stick with it, but the BKS is definitely good enough to be worth pivoting your level-up structure for if you were looking for an excuse to do it.

    the most important tip you'll hear in this journey since you're gonna be at this a long time if you're already talking about DS2...they're called "souls" plural not singular "soul!" unless you only have one!
    even in the other games where the currency isn't souls, everyone still just calls them souls lol

      To quote a Reddit comment;
