Josh deserves the hat, he showed that a pretty much stock jeep can be fun when pushed to the limit, more fun than a fully built jeep that is just out for a Sunday drive

after running this I looked it up to see if we missed anything and you're right. there is nothing out there on Atomic Ridge.
@@bleepinjeep I ran this trail years ago, before the first ledge was uncovered as much as it is now. It was a crazy trail do half of at night and in a storm......lol

That trail was absolutely bananas, guys. To turtle the scorpion on that ledge says all that needs to be said about the difficulty of it. The lil' Jeep should be rebranded to Jepepee because it sure has some spunk in it to make it up as far as it did. LOL Thanks for sharing and taking everybody along on this ride. Cheers!

Think that was trail 90 or 91. Can't remember but I blasted my TJ up that trail. Couple fun sections. That first ledge was slick
Never heard of this trail and it didn’t disappoint either!! It would be very difficult if wet the way Windrock normally is!!😃 Josh did very well with the YJ! Love those spicy Italian Gardenia Josh, I’m hooked!!😋

Rear steering is definitely a plus for a Rock Crawler. I can see how useful it can be on some obstacles from your video.

That is either 90 or 91, off of trail 60. Stopped at the bottom of that one and looked up it, decided against sending my Land Cruiser up it.
This is about as close as I ever wanna be to that. Just awesome.

Josh if you’re having circulation issues in your legs, but you feel as if you have decent stamina, you may be experiencing Burgers disease, I am only 59 but had major blockages in my femoral arteries in my legs, I felt strong but had no stamina to walk up hills, quit smoking and get your circulation checked in your legs, they use a microphone to check for low blood flow, not easily fixed after it’s taken hold, not always about your lungs, stay healthy and happy Brother and enjoy a long happy wheeling life !!

The way you run 23 is the correct way, according to the signs, at least the exit used to have one saying it was the exit.

I remember doing this trail probably 15 years ago or longer in an XJ on 35s. I only had to winch once, the ledge Josh called the 'link getter' was barely bigger than a speed bump and the downhill after the summit was nothing. It is astonishing how that trail has changed!
Dang, its got some pretty steep ledges now. I wouldnt want to be there when it was raining for sure!

Man Scorpion Crawler vids have a special place for me. I started watching the hannel just a little before the build and to see it now doing it thing is awesome. Its the little things like the winch controls in dash that really show justhow refined of a rig it is.

They have changed the exit from where it used to me. Old exit had many drop off ledges and slick, very slick shell rocks so breaks could get you in trouble big time. I have a 4 speed Atlas, and the 10.33 gear in the lowest range was my best friend. Going down, even with a 120" wheel base, the rear would lift, and just a little throttle, wold bring it back down, just to hit another tall ledge. I had heard of many roll overs, mostly end-O's and people getting hurt.
where is this old exit? I had heard of many rollovers too coming down from Waldens but we didnt see any ledges, just washouts.

Its on 42's and an Atlas. I was thinking about Hobby Lobby but is it an actual trail? Its not on the map and has no exit.

Josh deserves the hat, that jeep should have never made it, and somehow he got it to go.
As mentioned, trail 7 backwards would be froggy. No huge ledges, but steep V notches for a while. Probably not as well known as the other hard trails, but Trail 40 has a lot of challenges per mile.
No huge ledges? it’s nothing but 5 foot ledges going all the way down it

I think that the wrangler deserves to get a full build. And i dont remember ever seeing an old wrangler get a full buil on your channel. I could be wrong. I may just not remember. I've been watching since nearly the beginning.
Also, by full build, i mean tons and probably dual triangulated 4 link front and rear

with that wrangler id probaly say streched a few front and good amount in the rear.

On a steep ledge you can winch down to the axle which will add weight to the front end in an attempt to keep you from flipping over backwards. We call it sucking down.
Late to the game here but the bonus trail is without a doubt trail 90 on the north side off of trail 60.
My top 5. Atomic ridge, rail trail, rattle rock. Trail 21 and waldens ridge for sketchy factor

Trail 90 that's the one that claimed my blue and silver trucks transfer case. Then 2 days after swapped new in I rolled it on its side on a trail in New River
