    What rod and line are you using?

    The water is running through at a fair rate, what an absolute beautiful place , and a beautiful hard fighting fish to top it all off

    Scott is that a Snowbee landing net and if so what size medium or large. I like the style and size that is why i am asking. Might invest in one 😂

      Alan the rod I’m using here is an orvis clear water 11ft switch for a 7 weight 👍🏻👍🏻 hope this helps

    That reel is a menace - like a previous comment, a better quality drag system would save all that manual feeding of the line at crucial times in the battle. Hopefully that fish will now have done its business and will have provided offspring for future catch and release.

      I knew the reel wasn’t in the best of condition before I started Leslie, however it still managed a nice few and a few more after that. Reel has now been replaced with my trusted Daiwa 👍🏻👍🏻

    The main thing is he recovered and went back strong Scott unfortunately he took the fly that way but it happens , I've had it with sea trout too in the saltwater

      @Scott_Jackson I'm seriously considering tying awe my flies now for the saltwater on barbless now mate so if they take them that way you can just cut the nylon and they will fall out in the water or they will come off
