Congratulations Scott, Nice to see you catching a salmon on one of your lovely (tied ) flies. Keep the video’s coming…… Very information and good to watch….👍👍👍
Well done Scott, not easy netting a decent fish on your own in big water. And looks like a hen rather than a cock fish, so good to see it going back 👏🎣👍
The water is running through at a fair rate, what an absolute beautiful place , and a beautiful hard fighting fish to top it all off That looks like it would be a cracking stretch when the water drops of a wee touch. well done Scottie lad 👍
That reel is a menace - like a previous comment, a better quality drag system would save all that manual feeding of the line at crucial times in the battle. Hopefully that fish will now have done its business and will have provided offspring for future catch and release.
I knew the reel wasn’t in the best of condition before I started Leslie, however it still managed a nice few and a few more after that. Reel has now been replaced with my trusted Daiwa 👍🏻👍🏻
The main thing is he recovered and went back strong Scott unfortunately he took the fly that way but it happens , I've had it with sea trout too in the saltwater
@Scott_Jackson I'm seriously considering tying awe my flies now for the saltwater on barbless now mate so if they take them that way you can just cut the nylon and they will fall out in the water or they will come off
Well done Scott excellent video and fish caught in beautiful water and surroundings.
Thanks 👍
Where was it hooked...?..location..?

River Derg chum, Northern Ireland 👍🏻🎣🎣
Where was the location the fish was hooked, was the fly the 'Ally's shrimp'....?
No the fly was an Eddie Shrimp which my is my own pattern Paul 👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic video Scott and a great looking bit of water. Like and a sub from me 👏🎣
Thank you kindly Robert 👍🏻👍🏻🎣🎣
What rod and line are you using?
I think the rod was an Orvis Clearwater chum and the line was a snowbee 👍🏻👍🏻

David, believe me it’s a high water throw 👍🏻👍🏻
Scott is that a Snowbee landing net and if so what size medium or large. I like the style and size that is why i am asking. Might invest in one 😂
Yes Jim, got it in home and stream Enniskillen. I’d probably say it’s a medium 👍🏻👍🏻
thanks Scott. Keep up the good work my friend

Great fish ,and great release pal...did you use a fast sink tip in that flow ?
10ft intermediate 👍🏻 never take it off to be fair 👍🏻
Hi Scott What is the rod and line size thanks i am looking to buy spey rod Don't no What size 15ft 14ft 13ft fishing n.ire 🤔 thanks
Alan the rod I’m using here is an orvis clear water 11ft switch for a 7 weight 👍🏻👍🏻 hope this helps
👍👍
Meaning your line to slow it down maybe a good idea with water at that speed 😊
David, the fish like it fast 👍🏻👍🏻in my experience

@@Scott_Jackson great stuff - tight lines
Someone needs to give you a bit of reward for the great tying videos, id say you could do wth a new reel
I know chum the old thing has given up the ghost. However can’t part with it 🤣🤣
The main thing is he recovered and went back strong Scott unfortunately he took the fly that way but it happens , I've had it with sea trout too in the saltwater
It was buried 👍🏻👍🏻
