LSL's B1 Heads North Along The Welsh Marches

Hello & Welcome to this brief video from Harnetty Railways
In this video we are in race mode once again chasing for the 1st time this year in 2024 Locomotive Services Group's B1 61306 Mayflower as she works Saphos Trains's The Welsh Marches Express from Bristol to Shrewsbury via Severn Tunnel Junction & Hereford.
We start at Abergevenny as we see her coming up on the long straight heading towards the station in true B1 style albeit with diesel assistance as expected with the 12 coach load from The DO5 Preservation Group's class 47 47828.
We overtook her at Hereford as we headed north towards Leominster which were we next see her racing through smoking out the station in the process.
Following the impressive run going north she unfortunately was declared failed due to a broken spring while she was getting serviced at Coton Hill Shrewsbury when the issue was detected & as a result she was not fit to work the return trip & the trip was diesel piloted back to Bristol & Hye Wycombe.
