The Core Stone event reminds me a lot of the Korlok, where it can either go really well, or your entire team runs out of ammo and dies shooting the crawlers instead of the actual core.
It is very chaotic as well
i think the core stones could stand to be a bit more common due to us not only having 3 rockpox related events last season but having them be so common
I agree, they are extemely rare, tho in thr recent mussions i found them 3 time in a row
It's weird. I played 5 missions yesterday with friends, and all 5 missions had the season event. I guess we got really lucky.
Odd I have encountered them in pretty much every mission so far
I've already encountered them twice, so I think they're common enough
No need to hurry these events. No season 6 before 1,5 years
The first Core Stone I saw I just thought it was a new piece of terrain, so i started axing it and started the event 😂

I got the event the very first mission and oh boy, I was not prepared
Haven't seen a Stalker yet
Me and my friends just call the Stalkers John Cena at this point

stalkers are quite rare yeah. but when you get a mission with them, boy do they spawn a bunch lol
Of the 15 missions I did yesterday, in which 6 were deep scans, I got one corestone.
Stalkers are very well designed, (assuming you dont kill them with aoe) they can sneak up un you really effectivley and at the same time tehy dont feel unfair, plus this is the first iteration of ivisibility that actually works (that i've seen)
I do like that they are volatile as an enemy, easy to kill once you caught them but devastating once they hit you, not some tanky overbearing annoyance like Stalkers from HD2
What i like is that you can ping them, and when you do, they get revealed. That is much better than a weird outline of a invisible bug. Meaning that you can just scan the area with the pinger for it to turn red and then ping it
The lack of core-stone spawning is also pretty funny, especially since it is optional compared to the regular lithophage objective, and even Harold got annoying if you didn't take care of him.
I’ve been loving the new mission type and everything that’s been released this season. This is easily the best season and I love helping all the new greenbeards that are now joining us.
I'm just afraid that they added another unbreakable structure, getting stuck in pipelines, aquarq launch bays, refinery, and i doubt the drillevator is stuck proof, but i hope it is
When you get the chance, you gotta try the pump action for the shotgun, it is such an epic overclock, just gotta have the shard Diffractor with you for better ammo efficiency
I had a mission where either a detonator spawn or it spawned before the drilling deeper section and we all die after we kill it cause it went all the way on us haha. A game killer for sure if we didn't have Iron Will

I have played a ton of the new season and still haven’t encountered the core stone
Man i love fighting Bob (core stone, aka bobert) its do fun and the new mission is also fun
Edit:red sugar or golden bug's is really fun at the drillevator part
also be able to put turrets on molly and doretta, like i can do for vehicles in the game unturned... and i would like if the gunner shield or any sticky throwable just stick to doretta instead of phase trough it, sometimes when you're crossing a cliff in doretta the shield falls trough it to the botton, or get wasted since doretta is moving... and a player unstuck function, that would work as following when you get revived, if you collision be inside a structure you will phase trough it until you leave the collision, or option 2, is make bosco be able to carry you body to another place before reviving, Example: bosco will only revive you when press X while down... but if you press Z it will grab you like an item and carry you(while you're down) to a safe place, once it grab you you will be controlling it's movement AI... i think that would be kinda op to be able to fly to another place while dead and avoid be revived with enemy's close, so to fix that either make bosco only be able to carry you 7m or a short distance(enough to get you unstuck) and after that distance it will drop you, and clicking X will call it to revive... while in multiplayer that is very simple dwarves will be able to pickup other down dwarves like if they are an item when someone get stuck, and one final idea, is when dragging pipe lines of power cables you click E in the last segment to enter construct mode right? what if i cud point my laser pointer to a pipe/power cable to enter build mode from far away, think how to would help, sometimes the pipes are blocked so you need to leave construct mode to mine terrain, then you need to go to the pipe again to click E, to enter construct mode, if it still blocked you back and go back again to click E, if i cud enter building mode from far away would be so good, sometimes the last pipe is on a annoying place to rearch and even worst when it a floating power cable since it don't have collision so you has no ground to stand and click E, unless you're engineer or has hoover boots(don't say that this would nerf hover boots, it's would still be very useful for mining as aways)
I've yet to see a single core stone (which I know because I don't have the crawler entry in my bestiary), but that's probably because I'm doing the season 01 pass first. Still I'm loving nearly all the new content, they really went all out this time.
Core stone is a season event. You won’t see it without doing S5 content.
The other events (prospector, Nemesis, tower, meteor) got added to the general event pool after their season ended, so you might see them.
You should definitely see towers & prospectors though-they were the key events in S1.
Me and my mates have run into the new event a decent amount of times. Not too often, nor too rarely either... seems you got mad unlucky.
Maybe GSG should put in an RNG pity system or something to prevent ridiculous drystreaks like this from happening.
The new mission is a lot of fun. They did a great job.
My only issue with deep scan is how the cave system overlap.
so many times theres these thin layers of rock that combines 3 cave system and is not at all intuitive to get around, and is extremely easy to lose teammates in. (though losing teammates is super interesting and creates fun scenarios)
Idk what you guts are talking about with the seasonal events being rare i get one almost every mission and im at 10 corestones on the bonus track rn

I think you just have bad luck, because in the first 2 days of playing the season, I got so many core stone events, I got all the possible script from core stones in the season terminal. I literally had it on almost every mission.

i actually thought of that at some point but it is a very massive undertaking.
