- Опубликовано: 8 сен 2024
- Today SimOnTrains shall be chasing a Diesel Locomotive which Locomotibe Services Limited will be operating, a British Rail Class 45 but chasing it between 2 Railway Stations which are Crewe and Chester. Makes it more of a Cat and Mouse Chase.
The Class 45 is currently being tested after a overhaul and is planned to use the Class 45 Peak on future Railtours. However It doesn't go to plan as much as they tried to run the locomotive early!

Next month on the 27th of July 45118 is gonna be used for the railtour from Bristol temple meads
Hopefully no failures for this loco on its debut railtour
That's the one which starts a Derby?
@@Sim0nTrainsno it doesn’t start at Derby it starts at Bristol of the diamond jubilee express intercity charter and it’s going to duffield
And intercity charter are hiring this engine just like D9000 royal Scot’s grey
Wonderful vlog Cyber I did enjoy watching you chase that class 45 to be honest! 175 come backkkk!
Haven't seen a Class 175 for a while, it was 175114 sadly but do miss these units. Thanks G!
Still you did get them at Crewe which is nice! Also good that you got on the 221s before they leave Avanti West Coast.
I sure did and in a way it good that I only miss the Class 47 leading. Lucky they came bac early as I was planning to leave Crewe at 2pm to head to Stafford for a Class 33 and British India Lines passing Stafford.... that will be in the LocoMania
Brilliant video Simon!
Lovely to see the 45 out and about, It looks great.
Good catch with the 37's as well. 👍🙂
Thanks Ian
the class 45 looks amazing & nice shots of the 37s dragging the 175 which reminded me of when i saw a pair of 37s dragging a 175 earlier this year at Lichfield Trent Valley brilliant vlog
Great video, Simon!
I enjoyed this chase! It's sometimes annoying when they leave earlier than scheduled and you want to catch them!
Good catch with that 175 unit and those 37's!
Thanks Reece, it is annoying but end of the day it part of the experience of chasing
Class 45, 37 and 47 action! This looks like an excellent day of classic traction.
Brilliant video Cyber, the Class 45 sounds and looks amazing, it's lucky you were able to get it at both locations despite it running early.
Excellent video Cyber 👍
It's almost exactly 40 years ago when I last saw a class 45 at Chester (they were booked to work passenger services to Llandudno and Holyhead between 1983 and 1986)
Hopefully I'll see 45118 on July 27th when it works a charter to Chesterfield
Good video Simon. Those 45s sounds great.
It’s been 17 years since we last had a peak on the mainline and the last one was 45112 in 2007
Guessing that under its own power? I've seen Peaks in diesel convoys but not one under it's own power on the main line
@@Sim0nTrainsyeah but this one 45118 is definitely running under its own power
Excellent video and good chase Simon!! Thanks for the upload
Thank you Arnold
Nice to see Avanti West Coast Class 805 Evero in service. And of course the Class 45 locomotives in action. Great stuff.
Great chase with a twist at the end. Plus the bonus of a 37 purring like a lion! Thanks
Hi Simon Another corker of a video, chasing a peak..lol. I can remember seeing those regular at Manchester Victoria Station on Trans Pennine trains back in the day. It looks a lot cleaner now though. Thanks
Great vlog Simon. It will be cool to see them class 45 locomotives on a future rail tour.
That peak looks superb, great video.
Fantastic Video. Well Done.
Great video Simon
Great video, Simon. Not seen a class 45 in the wild before!
Why don’t they move the 175 under its own power rather than using 2 additional locos to shift it?
Hi how you
I'm good thank you
