  • The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy was created in 2003 with the mission of developing access on the Detroit River. The entire vision is 5.5 miles of riverfront from the Ambassador Bridge to Gabriel Richard Park just east of the Belle Isle Bridge, and includes the construction of a continuous RiverWalk along with plazas, pavilions and green spaces.
Over the past 19 years under the leadership of U-M alums, this vision has transformed the riverfront from an unwelcoming industrial wasteland to a thriving local attraction with a pathway to rival the public park fronted Windsor Riverfront. The area has now seen a $1.8 billion investment and is attracting 3 million visitors a year. Learn more at: impact.govrel.umich.edu/riverf...

Best Detroit Riverfront ever. I come down here all the time especially during the summer on a beautiful day. The best is yet to come. The East Riverfront will soon be completed. And the biggest one is the West Riverfront will be completed in 2024. Can't wait. The Detroit Riverfront voted # 1 in 2021 and 2022 attracts 3 million visitors. And we love it.
