      @@Britttanyy It doesn't have a strong taste, and I find it a bit watery personally (but maybe I've just been cooking it wrong). Sort of like spinach with a much much thicker, crunchy stem.

      @Carol tbh I really don't eat Chinese food like that. If I do order Chinese I get the same thing everytime. Shrimp lo mien or hot and sour soup.. tbh I dunno some of the stuff in the soup but I eat it anyways lol

      “Decked”used to mean get hit in the face before. As in “decked in the face”

      @@ogmeow she touched the camera with the bowl at the beginning for the transition. It just made a loud noise so it seemed kinda aggressive (why they said decked us), though obviously wasn’t :)

      Yes ,the two combined together is an absolute must together .I thought everyone used this combo in most of their their cooking dishes especially the two mix well for particularly sauces

      ​@@tejidofacil mushroom sauce. You can get them at Chinese,Malaysian or Thai store.

      @@tejidofacil No sauce. Just add sprinkle of salt. I usually add some olive oil in the water so the green leaf will glaze. Also I cut them smaller so that you don't have to eat half the vegetable in one mouthful.

    Dude this is life changing for me. I’ve always wanted an excuse to get the box of book choy at Costco. I absolutely love book choy, cooked properly. This recipe looks amazing. Simple and easy. Just the way I like my recipes.

      Here's another quick, easy, delicious way to eat bok choy for breakfast. I usually use smaller pak choy but baby bok choy will do and if you only have larger bok choys like shown in the video, you can quarter them. I just saute the pak/bok choys in a large skillet with a good oil like avocado, coconut or olive gently stirring, add some good salt and chopped garlic to taste. When close to done, I add two eggs to fry once over easy, with the bok choy pushed over away from the eggs. I do not blanch the bok choy first but it might be a good idea for bigger tougher pieces. You can spice it up however you want. It makes a great, easy, healthy breakfast, brunch or even night time dinner.

    That particular bok choy is called Shanghai Bok Choy. As a cousin of cabbage family bok choy has many varieties

      You can also use it in like a lo mien vegetable stir-fry. I think Panda Express does either that or its celery stalk as they just use the stalk portion whereas I would slice it all thinly and stir fry it with other veggies and noodles!!! Yum!!!

    I am trying this. I bought some beautiful locally grown bok choy a few weeks ago. I made it simple because my kids were trying it for the 1st time, but they loved it. They were making rolls with the bok choy and rice. So I have to try this next time.

    Pretty much every time I have gotten bok choy, there has been dirt and a couple dead bugs per bag that I have bought, there is no way I'm not taking every section off the core and washing them anymore 😅 and absolutely no way I'm having it whole in a restaurant

      Pre soak with salt n vinegar all veges. All the inpurities including worms will float after a while.

      She said to blanch it, so basically, you just put it in boiling water for a few. seconds, a minute at most

    I was sleeping on bok choy for too long. I finally bought some and added it to my ramen. It was delicious. Great texture, and it has a ton of nutrients and fiber 🙌🏽. I'm going to try this method next 🥰. Thank you ❤️

    Your method of cooking Bok Choy is absolutely delicious!! I watched this MONTHS ago and that was when i first tried it. It was so freaking delicious that my kids wanted some, but deep down inside my mind I was like, "Whaaaaaat!! These kids are tripping." Lol but of course I shared it and they LOVED it. So now I buy 3 packages of Bok Choy and my kids get thrilled when I cook it. I'm making some tonight!! With it, we're having sautéed chicken, jasmine rice, steamed vegetable dumplings, and stir fry vegetables.

    I love this recipe! I’m so used to having either steamed bok choy or added last minute to soups. They are delicious prepared like that, but sometimes you want a little more flavor with your green vegetables. I use the recipe for leafy greens but also for broccoli, broccolini, broccoli rabe, even green beans. Some you need to blanch longer than others, of course.

    so THAT's how you avoid the leaf part getting over-cooked and soggy! It's so simple but i genuinely never thought of holding it out of the water while blanching lol 😅 thanks for the tip!

    - garlic 🧄
    - oyster 🦪 sauce
    - soy sauce
    - bok choy 🥬
    Stir-fry the onion and garlic and sauces in the wok
    Blanche the bok choy
    Put together in the wok
    Enjoy 😊
