Waste Management 215789: Autocar ACX Heil Freedom Garbage Truck

On my first morning of summer break I was able to track down this spare ex- Advanced Disposal ACX Heil running a dense apartment route. I actually had no clue they ran this combo out of the Batavia shop, but all of the old Advanced yards had a pretty good variety of both diesel and CNG commercial units. The driver in this video usually has an ACX McNeilus Contender, however his truck went down about 3 weeks ago and while they’re getting it fixed, they decided to get it repainted too so in the meantime this driver gets this truck. I thought it was pretty fun to watch, and all the hydraulics ran at a pretty good speed too which only added to the fun. I think these trucks look excellent with the new WM signage, and I almost like it more than what I imagine this truck was like with AD paint. I was quite happy to get a video of this truck, and I even included a video of a Peterbilt 320 McNeilus Pacific Series Ultra I found earlier this year since it fits the repainted AD truck theme. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the video!

Fantastic video! They did a great job painting it, it looks brand new! Interesting to see how quickly they painted everything out there, and here they haven’t even slapped as much as a door sticker on any of the trucks.

Thanks man! I think it looks fantastic, but I’m with you on that one it’s interesting how some areas are just about all rebranded while others are barely started. I assume they just move the mobile painting stations from shop to shop once they’re all finished, but who knows.

The large WM logo is interesting, reminds me of WM's paint scheme from the early 2000s when some trucks only had the "WM" logo.

If I’m not mistaken it’s pretty uncommon for WM to have ACXs out that way right? Funny to see the “republic light bar” on one of their trucks.

Autocars are actually fairly common here, it’s those and Mack’s that dominate here while Peterbilts are few and far between. Advanced had those on all their trucks here, but yeah they are just about identical to Republic’s
