We are living similar to you. Same costs and expenses. I like your comment about how people believe what they believe, and can't see life any different.
@@7kinhomestead Before, we were $10,000+ per month. Decided we couldn't keep living that way. Today, on our homestead, which we paid a similar amount as you did, our expenses are now about $1,000 per month give or take. Note, we are on grid at our current homestead.
Just sold my house. Bought 5.5 acres for $20000. Raw land. Power close by. A natural spring. Trees. Bought a camper for $5000. My Uncle is an electrician. I'll build a cabin. I'm getting out of the rat race.
I installed a remote starter in my wife’s jeep today. Was a little worried but I just did it. Only took me 45 minutes and it’s perfect. Zero snafoo’s …. I’ll be dipped!? Love ya love your show! Glad to see ya back. Hope all is well!
That's awesome man!! Thanks!! Hey, I just finished the pilot episode of our show Rock Rich. I'm going to upload it and then release it as a premier on the 1st, Wednesday evening at 5 pm Pacific time. I'm so proud of it and can't wait to hear what people think of it. Premiers are like a live stream so Cari and I will be in the live chat during the first play. Hope you can join in on it.
Just started out on my 40 I got septic and hulling water. Next up solar. Not having to pay rent or elc is helping a lot. For a lot of people it is hard to start doing something different from what they are used to doing. I grew up in the country. So I'm used to being on my own. And making do.
We keep our bills and expenses very low and then use a non profit health share company. Way cheaper, better coverage and no network bs. Its especially good if you have a bunch of kids.
@ there is a different between boredom and when you have the energy to do something. So you just work on some project. In no hurry to finish it just enjoy working on it. Plus it’s still useful even when not “done “ You are outside the weather is good and you are getting something done eventually.
@kennethoneill4176 oh, I see what you're saying. I think you're right. It's sort of an additional payoff and with most things there's no hurry. Its taken us 12 years to get where we are, if I was in a hurry, I'd have done it all in probably three. I think another thing that happens too is that time starts to mean something else to you, at least it did for me. You start thinking in seasons, years, five years, etc, rather than daily, weekly, monthly. That's an interesting thought.

Same costs and expenses as ours or before? Thanks!! 🙏👍

Awesome!! Yeah, it sure can be. Its the fear of the unknown that gets'em.
I love your videos they make a lot of sense! But my wife wants to know how you deal with health insurance?
This is her big hangup 😮

Just curious at what point does the sweat investment actually just qualify as just needing something to do anyway.
Like out of boredom? I'm not sure I understand completely.
