Nice thorough video, thank you ! Being that these days I get frustrated so easily, after watching your video, I decided to have access underneath vehicle also, great job !
Im trying to change my alternator and I’m currently stuck on this step. I’m able to loosen the tensioner but the belt refuses to fall off. Am I doing something wrong or could there be something else holding it in place?
Great job the belt you replaced was for the A/C & alternator the other is for the power steering pump correct? And this is a 3.5 liter. Just wondering why you didn't replace the power steering belt at the same time? Do any of these belts drive the water pump? I have a 2013 Edge limited with the 3.5 and debating if I want to tackle replacing the belts. Also did you replace the belt tensioner? About how much time did it take you? Thanks Scott W
@@orvillebrown9250 I don't know what engine you have in your vehicle. It's possible that the timing belt has broke. There's a plethora of questions why a vehicle won't start without any diagnostic information.
Is there more belts on that car I have the same car and I’m gonna get the drive belt replaced and I just wanna get all of them replaced since I’m going to the mechanic
Nice work . . . but after watching what's involved, and knowing that I'm not a patient man, I think I'll pay the dealer to do it. They told me .3 hours, at $100 per hour that's 30 bucks + tax for the labor.
Thanks, you save me money on going to a mechanic for something that only cost me 10 minutes.

Great video! I've never even worked on cars before and changed my alternator and belt out thanks to you.
You did a great video going to tackle the Ford Edge. It has the original belt with a 120000 miles on it
Very helpful after trying to spend 3 hours forcing the belt on 😂
Thanks for this video, I need to replace my belt as well and Ford dealer wants 220.82 to do that!!
Thanks she sounds good how many miles on her?
I have to replace the belt on my Ford freestyle but your video gave me a great idea on how to do it. Great video thank you
Thank you for your help. Video was very informative
I had a craftsman 3/8 standard ratchet a Duralast belt 450K6 and just did it on my Sable took 6 and a half minutes.
Thanks for the video!
You think this is the same process on a 2015 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor Sedan 3.7L?
Thanks very much for this clip, please what is the size number of the belt
Great job. Very little space in there to work, esp. with big hands. I also heard no cuss words. LOL
Haha! Thanks! And i try to keep the cussing to a minimum! 😂
if you are working on an Edge, you will need the belt tool as there is not enough room for a ratchet.
thank you for the video, very helpful. Would this work for a 2007 Ford Edge SEL
Nice job. 👍
Great Video. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Thanks

Water pump on the 3.5s are internally chain driven pumps. And fail often and kill the engines.
@@socialjusticewarrior9601 Wow thats a bummer. I have 75,000 on my 13 edge now so far so good
I have the same problem right now with my 2006 ford freestyle. It won't start but the car battery is great. What should I do?

Yes, the power steering stretch belt.
Is this the same as 2010 V6 fusion
If I'm already removing on belt replacement I'll be replacing the other one
Thanks
How many miles was on the car when you changed the belt
Somewhere between 150 and 160k if I recall correctly
How many miles were on it when you changed it?
Somewhere around 155k
