  • In this video, we take a look at some of the cars at this years Bremen Classic Motorshow. We start with a look at the infamous parking deck.
    I've been there on thursday, so a little bit too early, so excuse for not showing the whole event.

    The DS "on balloons" is a recreation of a marketing photograph which had a DS on balloons on a lake.

    Is the start of the video just the visitor carpark, or is this a sort of an overflow from the main exhibition? Incredible.

      Nope, it is a car market - so every car there is for sale. Best part of the show!

    Ha, thought you were going to miss out the Mercedes W140, one of the cars on my Must Own List, a big 600 v12 would be great, such well made and understated vehicles.
    I currently own a Volvo 940, great cars too. The one you filmed, i think, is a 940CD top spec hpt.
    Really enjoying your videos 🤘

      Thanx mate! At one point, I've owned two 940s. One was a early saloon, the other a late, almost full spec, 940 lpt estate. Loved them both!

      @@petrolpunx they are superb cars, my current one has lead a hard life as a builders van before I got it. The aim is to build it up to O.E.M plus spec.
      I had to unfortunately give up at saving my 240 estate, the previous owner had bodged chassis rust repair so badly it was pretty much all along it 😭

    16:05 That's the exact thought I had, seeing the 1st gen Hilux in all of the videos I've watched of the '24 Bremen Classic Motorshow and you're the ONLY one, who did even recognise it and
    not only lettin' the camera passing by. :D Yeah, I've to say the LC BJ45 PickUp (Ute or call it as you want^^) was a nice one too but the price is far to much for +50k €, even for it's condition. :p
    Thanks for the closer look on the Hilux.^^
    Btw - 16:43 for 17.900,- with 47.800km (?) and already historic registration in Germany + TÜV it comes on a very good negotiation base in priceing and in final gettin' it for 14.5-15.2k € whould be a deal for me. :P

      That 1st gen Hilus was a highlight - and actually the very first car that I went to as soon as I was at the deck :) I've seen the LC too, but it just lacked all the character the Hilux had. Two very different approaches restoring a car. I liked, that the Hilux was fully restored, but they just managed to keep the history of the car with all its lovely patina. The LC ended up being a garage queen.

    Volvo 66 look similar at DAF

    • @petrolpunx
      @petrolpunx  6 месяцев назад +1

      It is a DAF. Volvo took over DAF, and the DAF 66 became the Volvo 66.
