Only Christopher Lee could give us a duel with a CGI Little Green Man who 'wasn't actually there' with style and class. R.I.P Christopher. You were one of the greats.
Well… most of that fight was done with his stunt double lol. I think his shining moment in Star Wars is when he outright tells Obi-Wan that the senate is ruled by Darth Sidious and Kenobi doesn’t believe him. Or of course his tempting of Anakin before his death in ROTS.
This man has one of the most impressive voices I've ever heard! Just remember the scene in LOTR 2 where he sais: "A new power is rising! It's victory is at hand!"
I was very lucky to have been there in Leicester square that particular day. Christopher Lee’s larger than life voice is just as magnificent in real life as it is on film. He was a living legend, with over 100 film credits, an incredible life and career. I still always think of him as Dracula from the old Hammer films.
There's no faulting Alan Rickman's performance, but I don't understand the Hayden Christiansen dislike that floats around the internet either. I thought he did a good job of portraying an arrogant youth in Attack of the Clones, and then his turn to the dark side in Revenge was good too. In my eyes, anyway.
In the novelization of ROTS there's a lengthy scene where the whole duel with Anakin is planned in advance between Dooku and Palpatine. Palps ordered Dooku to kill Obi Wan and then surrender himself to Anakin, but of course was ultimately planning to have him killed at the former's hand. Dooku was always a political idealist who basically just wanted a high position in the Empire that Palpatine would create.
Christopher Lee knew the difference between a good script and a bad script. The Force Awakens had a bad one and even in his youth, before he became a legend, Lee wasn't afraid to call out idiot writers.
the people are so lucky to be there plus a q&a portion...i wish a great star like christopher lee will visit my country and have a conference too...sighhhh
i think triage is the last film he's done where he's had a big part and carried himself quite well. sadly i dont think he'll ever have a large role in any more films
I think he was a fan of Tolkein's books, but I don't ever remember him saying he preferred LOTR over Star Wars. In fact, in one Maxim Interview, he claims Dooku would beat Saruman.
In the novel, it shows Palpatine planned for Anakin to kill Dooku all along. He would never have helped him. They discussed the duel in advance before, and he wanted Dooku to kill Obi Wan before surrendering to Anakin, but of course, Palps had other ideas. He wanted his future apprentice to kill his present one.
Dooku was always going to be disposed of as a scapegoat. If maul had lived I suspect palpatine would set up maul v anakin but unlike dooku who he wanted totally rid of he would let maul and anakin fight it out and whoever wins is worthy to be his apprentice.
i kinda expected the Snape thing. I mean, Voldemort was going to have Malfoy killed if he didn't do it, and when Narcissa and Bellatrix go to see him, i kinda figured that would happen. The Snape one was a little seeable but still brilliant. My main complaint will always be that Harry could have been much better portrayed. But thats IMO
yeah, but i never saw Radcliffe get emotionally involved in alot of scenes as he got older. He just got blander. He was emotional about Cedric and Sirius, but i never got any emotional depth from his performance overall. Christopher Lee is a badass and the only really good thing in Attack of the Clones.
its not that i hate the Potter movies, its just that they easily annoy me with how cheesy and campy some of the scenes are. You see alot of that in Episodes I and II of Star Wars. I love the books, and Ray Fiennes and Gary Oldman rock in the Potter movies. Im not a big fan of Daniel Radcliffe, who i think is just a notch better than Hayden Christiansen in Star Wars. Lord of the Rings is in a class of its own.
Harry Potter, despite its huge fanbase, will never reach the emotional depth Star Wars did. There really was no "I am Your Father" shocking twists, and i think most of us expected Harry to survive after Voldemort killed him. I will admit Hayden Christiansen is the male equivalent of Kristen Stewart, but i will have to see Radcliffe in another role after this to change my outlook on him
I guess, but he could have been stronger. Like when Sirius was killed, he could have been alot stronger. OotP is actually the worst film in the series IMO, but the second best book. I don't think he showed enough emotion. He most certainly isn't in the Hayden Christiansen or Kristen Stewart ballpark. I just think everyone else seemed more invested in what was going on than the Main Character was. I mean, i almost got teary eyed when Snape saw Lily's corpse.
I could kinda see Snape's backstory coming, but i meant a completely shocking twist. NOBODY saw the Vader thing coming. I was looking forward to something like, i don't know, Harry dying and staying dead
its not like he's a 100% horrible actor, George's script writing didn't help much. But the best actors know how to make a shitty script into a decent performance, but he just went right along with what Lucas wrote. That's y i really dislike his acting. I think the Stewart thing should go without me even commenting
Lucas writing is not as you make it sound like. The dialogue style of the prequels is not much different from the style in the OT. For example : "Your arrogance blinds you" vs "Your overconfidence is your weakness". How is sentence 1 worse than sentence 2?
Harry Potter is a better and a far more solid film series than Star Wars. Episodes IV and V are good. III and VI were only half good (III only fore the action), and I and II were broken films.
his voice is brilliant
RIP Christopher Lee...
And Thank you for your years of service fighting Nazis in WWII. What a life you led. The world has lost a great man.
+Whoami691 Don't think about the loss of this great man and hero. Think about what he left behind. And believe me, he left behind a lot.
+Geometry Dash Mindis19 Died last July I think...
Actually considered he fought with Finn armed force at one point.
I couldn't have said it better
Christopher Lee also fought against the Communists with the Finns in the winter war.

@@Tiberius_Productions Yeah, Lol he gave him a big hint. Which Kenobi was too brainwashed by loyalty to the Jedi to get.
I can't believe he's 92
Rip
Wow 92 wow 🤩 Sir Christopher Lee Francisco and Count Dooku and Surman lord of the Rings rip great sir !! .
And dead. For the past 5 years.

100% bro, I can’t believe he was 79 and 83 when he played dooku in episode 2 and 3, wow what a incredible fella. RIP sir Christopher
What a handsome man, full of charm and simplicity!!!!!
I will never stop associating that malevolently mesmerizing voice with Saruman!
Gustav Ramirez The Dark Side of the Force has clouded your vision my friend :)
RIP Christopher Lee
This man has one of the most impressive voices I've ever heard! Just remember the scene in LOTR 2 where he sais: "A new power is rising! It's victory is at hand!"
Christopher Lee was 83 then. Looking strong
My favourite sith lord

One of the best long living actors in the world. Happy early 90th birthday Mr Lee.
'He wasn't there.' Very rude of Yoda not to show up to the shoot with Christopher Lee...
I just love his voice
Rest in peace Christopher Lee
He has a wonderful sense of humor. He should do more comedies, the world is missing a great funnyman.
I really hope Christopher Lee understood our love and appreciation for his role in this. Count Dooku is my favorite
Georges Lucas was a genious to use Christopher Lee has he was playing with "Moff Tarkin" Peter Cushing in Dracula !
I think George and Steven Spielberg grew up with Hammer horror. Tim Burton for sure did, he cast Sir Christopher lots
For some people here, Christopher lee made the voiceover of Ansem the wise/Diz from Kingdom Hearts 2 , and wow that was incredible.Great video.
''He wasn't there!'' Haha, didn't know he was a comical genius! He's great!
He’s dead now rest in pease Chris.

Corellian Smuggler He was great tbh
What's Alan Rickman got to do with Star Wars?

He's getting nothing but love now. And I am apart of it
Definitely a legend in acting. I've seen Christopher Lee in so many great films, and he plays his role very well!
R.I.P Legend
I was happy and thrilled to meet Mr.Lee
When
never seen a bad interview with mr lee
Thank you for your work in the arts. I will always remember you as Saruman and Darth Tyranus
Phenomenal guy ✊🏼 rest in peace
Christopher Lee is the man!
That voice.
Happy Memorial Day mr. Lee it's not quite the same without you. It hurts me that you never got to see the force awakens. You would have loved it.
Because Count Dooku is the coolest Star Wars character EVER!
Yes he is.
U gotta love christopher
hehehe, notice the crowd's reaction at 0:53 sec. when he first starts to speak, in his cool deep voice.
Saruman, Count Dracula, Count Dooku, Scaramanga, Lord Sommersile,.. Lee = #1!
wow! knight him! knight him now!
thanks for the upload! any more?
Wish I could have met him. He also would have been perfect as Kronos in the Percy Jackson movies.
R.I.P Christopher Lee
Miss you, Dracula.
Great idea man!
Darth Tyranus! He was a good Sith Lord - Maul was a pitbull, Tyranus/Dooku was classy and clever - Vader a smart, methodical powerhouse.
RIP Wizard of Isengard and Count of Serenno
Love Christerpher Lee
his deep voice is seconded in deepness only by james earl jones
He was still number 1 lol ^_^
Dooku doesn't sleep... He meditates. LOL
It’s when legends was still in to Star Wars canon to bad Disney ruined it by changing the timeline
Lee carries such a great weight. Man his voice just makes every guy in the room sound like a little school girl!
Rip Christoper lee
I hope you can meet Carrie fisher and Kenny bakers in heaven of course
Mocny głos ma Pan Lee , w naszym dubbingu świetny w roli Dooku byłby Pan Franciszek Pieczka ...
i think triage is the last film he's done where he's had a big part and carried himself quite well. sadly i dont think he'll ever have a large role in any more films
looking really good for his nineties then again Saruman uses his magic well :D
This is probably Doku's Comeback on the Death Star.
Count Dooku :)
rip legend
I think he was a fan of Tolkein's books, but I don't ever remember him saying he preferred LOTR over Star Wars. In fact, in one Maxim Interview, he claims Dooku would beat Saruman.
Dmasterman He once met Tolkien in a British pub from what I heard.
The Legendary Ansem The Wise/Diz 🙂

THAT MAN SOUNDS LIKE DAVE FILONI!!!
IS THAT DAVE FILONI???
THAT IS DAVE FILONI ISNT IT???
HEY PEOPLE thats DAVE FILONI!!!
of course you love it its the voice of saruman.:)
that he plays sauruman!
A video in a video.
He was happier for LOTR. He likes it more than SW. But still great.
I think he might have been talking about Hayden Christensen!

The fact that he was that old in Star Wars but still managed to wield a lightsaber makes me feel unfit
It’s a stunt double bro 🤣
He did some of the hands motions with the saber, but when the movement came into play, he couldn't do it due to his age.
I guess, but he could have been stronger. Like when Sirius was killed, he could have been alot stronger. OotP is actually the worst film in the series IMO, but the second best book. He was talking about the movies. And please, don't compare Harry Potter films to Lord of the Rings or Star Wars...
figures. london gets everyone they don't deserve.
I guess so. He's a big fan of Tolkien.
I think his possession scene from the order of the phoenix was spectacular. Stand-out moment from the franchise for me.
what makes you say that?
The rest of the cast was okay. Pattinson was good as Cedric and Rickman was a really good Snape.
You forgot his most awesome role (voiceacting, ok...) - DEATH!
No pal. I'm a MUCH bigger fan of Star Wars. The fact is that he really likes Tolkien' books.
I don't know... Count Dooku VS. Boba Fett... I bet Dooku would chop Boba's head off just like Mace Windu did to his father.
"To a point." Hah! He's talking about the Dooku saber
i think he already is knighted
I could kinda see Snape's backstory coming, but i meant a completely shocking twist. NOBODY saw the Vader thing coming. I was looking forward to something like, i don't know, Harry dying and staying dead
Count Dooku. :(
This is one of the oldest videos on the site
@dddenham Amen!
Harry potter will never enter the same category as lord of the rings or Star Wars, regardless of how bad I and II are.
You forgot "Harry Potter" in the greatest fantasy's of our time...
That's what I meant. :)
No. Dooku wins.

I can't believe people cheered when they saw yoda with a lightsaber. It's so incredibly lame. The prequals are trash.
I know right yoda is not a living thing its just animated CGI
HelloGreedo you are trash
No the prequels are not trash the new sequel trilogy is trash

not really. I consider Star Wars overall better because it does not follow the generic "the good guys win everytime" cliche.
