We got a cloud dragon, goldfishes, attacks based on insects, and tobimune seems to be based on birds ? Let's see what habilities Kumeyuri has, because it seems that it is the only sword not related to animals.
Sorry if I am late, but here is my vote for the top 3. In order, Kagurabachi, Blue Box, and then Witch Watch. And as for the review of this week. -One Piece: Got to know more of Loki, his meeting with Shanks, and that everyone will come together again. -Hunter x Hunter: The mafia wars are now going to go into motion. And we (somewhat) know what Chrollo wants when boarding the Black Whale 1. -Black Clover: With the 3 chapters, Yami and Noct’s arcs are coming to a close. -Mission: Yozakura Family: It was predictable with the fact Asa would overcome the oversight. But seeing Kiyoichiro’s true blooming was cool, and here’s hoping the twins will unlock our final hope. -Undead Unluck: Vicktor is freed, and we got more backstory regarding him and Juiz. And Julia has finally found out the truth. -Sakamoto Days: And now all the parties are together. But of course the lie will be exposed, so we should have seen it coming. So the fight will go into another level. -The Elusive Samurai: And the fight begins to recover Suwa. Hard to believe that there was a real disadvantage there. -Witch Watch: now Morihito knows, the rest of the cast know, and we will see the shadows of their families past will bring them into the current conflict of the present and future. Also nice to know that the Uron Mirage mangaka knew about them and used it as inspiration for her story. -Blue Box: And we have a good timeline on how the tournament will go. And it was sweet with the kiss near the end. And finally, we will see the final hurdle in this story, the father. Let’s hope that this is resolved decently. -Akane-banashi: We finally see who this renowned master is. And what is up with Issho’s obsession. -Kill Blue: Another contest against new Unicorns that are triplets that are a part of a Butler and Maid club, this is just more stupid that it makes it hilarious. And to see that the PreCure chapter wasn’t a throwaway, makes this going to be one heck of a showdown. -Nue’s Exorcist: The fight with Rido is really shaping up and we got a good backstory. But to learn that his ex is also a member of the Fujino family, tells that they are a really cursed bad family that needs to be dealt with. I hope that this story deals with these families better than Akutami did in Jujutsu Kaisen, cause there was much more to explore and to better handle than just addressing Zen’in and leaving the Gojo and Kamo families to dry afterwards. -Kagurabachi: A great subversion, and to see in the end about Samura, it makes the most sense on why people were talking about it. -Super Psychic Policeman Chojo: Who would have thought about a backstory for Chojo would be done well. And I am glad that his friends were there to give him that party after Resident Evil arc from last week. -Astro Royale: And Hibaru is out for now. But to put more faith in Kinpa, let’s see if she can have more attack abilities than just hiding through her astro. -Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: The fight is looking a bit one sided at the moment in favor of Kiyoshi. But I think it will turn around next chapter. But the one thing I am always excited to see is Jack Joe as he is a good character. -Hima-Ten!: Even though this chapter isn’t exciting, due to it being a shopping chapter, it works for me due to it being a major focus on character. And now we are entering another arc where the cast (minus Kanna) are going to go on a camping trip. Hope it is fun. -Ichi the Witch: A good backstory for Ichi to learn how he filet a fish. And to see her defeat was funny and a good way to wrap up the arc. So let’s seen what is next. -Shinobi Undercover: Now that one of our ninja’s was properly introduced, it is time for the other. But who knew that our enemy that was introduced the previous chapter would make a move now? -HakuTaku: So we know about the brothers death, and yet as much as it was good in fleshing him out, I can now start to see where its writing flaws are. And this review is similar to the one I wrote in my group forum. So nothing to add. I just didn’t go all out there mainly due to the mood I have been in cause of “The Nov. 5th result”.
I’m really loving Astro Royale, sure it isn’t that complicated or unique but it kinda scratches the Toriko itch of just good being good fun. Also Kagurabachi was the biggest surprise this week, potentially Generational Arc/Chapter.
I'll try this format for commenting but I can't really tl;dr this. Starting with my top three: Kagurbachi, Witch Watch, and Nue. Two of these three being sophomore series doing a traitor arc super well is interesting. I was sure that this type of plot device was overdone by now. Yet here we are. Think the reason is both had us get quickly emotionally invested in the characters, give us hints to a possible traitor without focusing on it, and gave good motivation for both. Yet the mind set both MC's are in help distinguish them as the characters are on different points of their journey. Hopefully other series take notes cause I swear MHA & JJK had underwhelming traitor reveals and UU took an orthodox approach that I wouldn't think most other series could do well. Actually even the number 2 series this week Witch Watch, had a pretty meh traitor reveal. But the Udon Mirage recontext is peak Shinohara. It's what I love about his writing style. Anything & everything could play a greater role in the story and trigger a framing shift. When everything starts coming together and you see the planning unfold. Will be doing some rereading as you suggested. As for what's next for these three, I want to know more about the timeline for Samura's betrayal, hope Fujino steps up in Nue as it'll be good for her character too, and very excited for the flashback in WW. Next honorable mentions: Sakamoto Days and Hunter x Hunter. The former is up there with how Tenkyu is written. He's a wild card in the best way. Very curious which direction his character will go. Also a quick correction that 3 people are suppose to die, not 2. I think the other two deaths will be more shocking than we think. The Spiders seem spread thin and everyone is rightfully worried. I'm looking forward to Chrollo going to tier 1. It's nice knowing his plan but also I need him to run into Kurapika. Now with the funeral in action the stage is set for the dominoes to start falling. I'll talk about the other top 10 from your list here (except OP which I don't read). BB and UU were both chapters about a cute pairing. Didn't rank as high for me as the former is still somewhat stalling (but at least there's reasoning) and the the latter was just some minor backstory. Though both I am excited to see the potential conflict ahead. Speaking of backstory Akane Banashi was more of that which was nice but I don't have anything to add. Ichi was a cute wrap up to this arc and I say a good start for the story. Still need something big to move forward. Like a villain encounter or more witches as you suggested being involved. As for the remaining series, I have some brief thoughts. Yozfam still doing a lot of counterplays but the aura is undeniable. KB is very fun. Chojo and Roboco gave a lot of background to their male leads which I enjoyed. These gags work because we care about the cast. Murakami didn't have as good as cast but it ended well enough. Happy to see Kinpa get the last part of this fight. It's a great play by Astro to do this. Was worried Hibaru's connection to the antagonist via his family would outshine Kinpa's personal revenge. That said, this is moving crazy fast and each fight individually was not satisfying.
Honestly, it's refreshing to see multiple series tackle the same thing but showing different approaches to the content. Traitor reveals in Nue, Kagurabachi, and potentially Witch Watch with another reveal. Mentor backstories in Witch Watch and Akane. To your point, even the main magazine gags focused on character backgrounds this week. On the HxH note, I'm really curious to see if everything goes to hell once Kurapika encounters even a single member of the Troupe. He's been carefully weaving this plan with all of the Princes, but will his grudge and rage topple this house of cards he's constructing? I also agree that the speed at which Astro is resolving things leaves a lot to be desired. I like that Kinpa gets to finish things off, but the other two fights were up and down in a single chapter. I need them off the rig so we can start a longer arc, but I'm concerned that sales are forcing Wakui to try shorter arcs and get people's attention.
@ I’m definitely expecting things to go south as soon as Kurapika sees a Spider. Just hope it doesn’t lead to Wobble being in immediate danger. Hasn’t considered the sales aspect to Astro as it felt safe. But it would make sense that Wakui wants higher numbers
I'm crying tears of joy that dad is back and he's got so much milk 🥛🥛🥛🥛
This week's Kagurabachi was a standout.
Like it had me gasping in disbelief after reading it.
My jaw dropped. It really was that good

Not too late! And I get what you mean with not going all out. It's a safe space here though.
