Mr.Necrit, Thresh didn't "help" Bort out of kindness and humanity. He did it out of irony, which can be a cruel aspect of life; if anything Thresh has become more of the Runeterran equivalent of The Devil. He only gained something without giving anything, while Bort SEEMINGLY gained the chance to become the tormentor of his former abusers, in his new lantern which I think he got from Lucian and Rookie during the event in Ixtal(?). In fact, Bort's deal with Thresh can be considered a Faustian Bargain, short-term gain in exchange for integrity.
Yea, i woud actually compare it to what the Joker did to Harvey Dent. He didnt want to kill or cause chaos all by himself, he just found that breaking someone and watching them try to cause mayhem woud be more entertaining. It's all for the the purpose of amusement in the end
@@pedrovilar6123 exactly, Bort doesn't look like a gritty killer, which is quite strange for someone living in Noxus. Innocent, no since he tried to steal from a mage; certainly not a cruel person however. Thresh laughing in the end at how things played out completely to his favour is just spot on character portrayal.
Yeah, I think people haven't quite realized that truely caring for people is a complete 180 from his established character. His interaction with Bort wasn't sympathy, it was an establishment of inherent loyalty. "He saved me from my curse and my miserable life, I owe him my life" kind of thing. My assumption is Thresh is going to build his own undead kingdom like Viego's, who he is trying to prove he can be better than with the black mist, which he would need loyalty for. Still people to torture, but more importantly, people that could never betray him like he does other people. No loose ends.
I wouldn’t call this being sympathetic. This was just Thresh playing with his food. He got all the souls he wanted, including Bort’s, and he got to have fun
Also no one is pointing out that Bort had no big changes when he wraithified, i guess Thresh wanted to keep his mind intact so that he can inflict more pain to Bort
@@datsuna6585 Are they actual wraith though? Senna isn't one - but she swill was imprisoned in his latern. Yea, she kinda have strange connection to the mist, cuz of Isolde's part in her, but still. Maybe thresh can manipulate captured souls more easily now or something - basically becomin sort of actual necromancer (as we know that with all the power and potential Viego had - he didn't really researched shit or tried to get stronger - he just pulled everything out of his ass on pure might and talent, not willing to get into the details... Which is partly cuz he actually was full fledged wraith, but that's not the point. Thresh seems to be a different type of creature, or at least someone who managed to fuck the system and bend it rules for himself - as he was much more sane... Or at least more in control of himself. Maybe that is also why those souls look so similiar to the state when they were alive, instead of formless husks or ghouls or whatever. Cuz if they have memories and personality - it's probably much more interesting for sadistic part of thresh
Thresh saw and opportunity in Bort to make someone who could inflict suffering onto others. He was nice to make the deal with Bort ever more enticing. He still killed Bort, Bort's soul is still forever bound to Thresh's lantern, the only difference is Bort is servicing Thresh by serving him the misery he desires, instead of being the misery he feasts on.
The sentence: 'there is life, there is death and there is me.' makes kindred being on the shadow ilse much more meaning. Because he knows he can't be death that is kindred, he can't be live because he isn't. So he picked the middle and holds it with him and trying to expand that middle zone as much as possible using the black mist.
@@sashalishchyshyn5523 well technically, kindred is everywhere that isn't brimming with death, they hunt everything alive, undead and only give up when it is dead after all.
This form is just a mask so thresh can blend in. He still likes being monstrous which is shown through him being a shadowy phantom near the end of the cinematic until he saw Bort and wanted to manipulate him again.
@Super Top Secret Area in my opinion Unbound Thresh means that he is no longer bound to the Shadow Isles, because of all the power he got from the mist. And the new looks is just like illusion to travel undercover and enslave souls. I mean nobody will will let in the city walking skeleton with a hook and lantern.
"there two sides for every transaction" Thresh remove the curse to Bort by simply getting his soul but, Bort was still a slave. He just have a different boss now. lmao
@@zhouyiwei112 Mordekaiser doesn't have any affiliation with the Shadow Isles, strangely enough. He has a much broader range of influence than Viego does, even during the Ruination. Morde is a walking Illuminati meme, considering *LeBlanc* is in charge of keeping him and several other wildly powerful beings locked away, example being the new original character in Legends of Runeterra named Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin.
Unbound Thresh in the cinematic reminded me of Swain, except he's slimmer, younger, and with black hair. Only in the cinematic tho, at least he looked more decent in the cinematic than in the splash art. Was surprised how cool he looked there despite not liking the Unbound concept.
I also like to think that Bort's carb hand is a Scuttlegeist claw because of its blue tint. This could explain why the claw is shaking in fear just before Thresh goes on a rampage. Since the Scuttlegeist would be connected to the Shadow Isles, it could have sensed Thresh's power
if you look closely to scuttlegeist art it is a titan, has destroyed ship in his back, feasting on humans near a shor, and has a jaul jaw stuck in his left leg
@@Quasarii well, it had to be small at least once in its life before becoming spectral/ruined There may even be little versions and the one in the artwork of the card may be old or empowered
I can tell that there are different teams of people working on this cinematic compared to the entire ruination mess. This cinematic actually feels well written and animated, and it doesn't feel rushed.
It's the same with the Star Wars Sequels. I lived in China and am Chinese, having worked in a few placed regarding media imagine you have this beautiful chocolate cake recipe but you're not allowed to use egg, flour or milk. Okay there are replacements for those, right? Well no, you can't use almond flour because x person has a nut allergy or soy because somebody doesn't want to be a soy boy, etc. Now you you also get a note as you are half way done mixing the chocolate that you actually should make a strawberry cake. So you're at a loss and you go screw it, I'll make strawberry tarts. You bring them out and surprise surprise nobody likes it because you said chocolate cake and now you have strawberry tarts. BUT! (And this is where Team 2 comes in) your best friend says "Hey man, these are the best tarts I've had, I see you've used real strawberry. That's awesome" and in other words saved your butt, changed the narrative and as a whole saved the night. That's what it's like working as a media consultant, not just in China mind you, but anywhere. You rely on your team. It's why hiring guest writers and what not are fun but not what should be essential, rather you need a team who works together. Team A pleases corporate, Team B pleases the fans, Team C negotiates between it all. That's marketing baby!
4:50 I don't think Thresh was being sympathetic at Bort. His actions is more like a serial killer scouting out his next victims. He loves to torture people and observing them gives him a good idea on what exactly he could do to give out the best method of torture. Hence, using Bort as their torturer
I still feel he sympathizes towards Bort because he sees himself similarly to the way Viego treated him. Sure, he consumed Bort's soul, but he still gave him a new shot at "life" compared to other souls which he tormented.
@@emuanabrams6726 to Thresh, Viego was just a means to an end. We did find out that it was Thresh who brought back Viego, just so he could syphon his black mist and take control. He simply took orders from Viego so his plans wouldn't be easily seen through. He was also the one that taught Lucian(if we're gonna follow the VN) of a weapon that could help defeat Viego. Thresh is a highly intelligent psychopath that will do just about anything to increase his methods of torture. Sure, he helped Bort get back at those who were abusing him by making him their torturer, but Thresh has no need for him really. Bort is just there as another tool for torture
This just shows on how Thresh can be much more terrifying outside the Shadow Isles not only that he can literally enslaved anyone he sees, He can also manipulate a person's vulnerable mind by just talking to them.
Thresh understanding what an unjust situation is doesn't necessarily have to do with him being more human. I'd hold the memories he keeps as a torturer responsible for his ability to target which person is more vulnerable to his manipulation above all. As you noted, he's better off assigning those who are miserable in life to thrive on improving his rulership, and occasional acts of sympathy are just a means towards that.
I mean - he can be truly sympathetic in some moments. Why the hell can't he? Especially after becoming a human and, idk, being kinda happy that he is free now. It wouldn't change the fact that he is a sick in the head sadistic psycho tho. Sadistic psycho that has his priorities
@@zenixvampirchik652 he cant be because he's not human when he was human he did not do it if he did it because he's getting more human it would make no sense because it's not his character at all even when he was human he did not do it and from my thinking his face is a mask we saw his shadow and when he came out of door his face was skeleton the human face is just a disguise
The shadow cast on the wall might as well have been an artistic choice to illustrate what Thresh meant by "prisoner", linking the word to his past appearance. *stuff that keeps us fans wondering*
10:00 I love that Thresh is Sympathetic in a way that makes sense, he sees that Bort is bound by a curse just like he was, and after Thresh spent literally 1 thousand years wanting to be free he doesn't want others who doesn't deserve it to not be free.
Yea exactly. My thoughts too. People argue and I don't really care but to me he's more human now. And his old humans emotions as sympathy comes in a rather dark way.
Thresh doesnt have a good side, *he's not more human.* He saw in Bort a potential to make him torcher others. And also, *No! Its not a helmet! Thresh is not human! That's his true form, and the human face is just a disguise he put on to talk to Bort. And the fact that the shadow didnt show the face, furthur proves that it's nothing more than a mask, a disguise.* Dont try to tell me that Thresh wanted to have a human body again!
You are wrong his face is not a disguise we can see in the comic that thresh have a human face after absorbing Viego black mist and his face is real that was based on the blessed isles where he was still alive

@@somibangkheng3523 a man's shadow is often a much better reflection than his outward appearance: Thresh's shadow was shown as a monster. Think of that what you will. I personally like to think that his face is nothing but that, a face or skin that gets plastered on his true monstrous visage.
Well, Unbound Thresh turned from cozy machination of Riot to get Thresh into mobile game (to make more money) , to extension of his power as sole Ruler of the Mist, an option to camouflage himself to deliver even more suffering(and taste it ofc :-) ), which even works for our world. Simple work of art effectively changed whole event outcome
Maybe i would like his Unbound identity more if they would apply his cinematic design into the in-game splash art design. I'm still mad at Riot and the Chinese government for making Unbound Thresh his default skin on Wild Rift.
They still got thousands of people Just gobbling boring ebois/egirls champions and millions of asian players that consume mobile games like locusts, they can literaly shit on all the lore and still makes billions
@@PsicoPrime I not agree with that, almost all in Thai community hate unbound Thresh... Yes, we like handsome/pretty champion but change terrifying champion like this is something else.
NOW I like it. Although I quickly would like to point out that to me, Thresh is not being sympathetic towards Bort, he still manipulated him into getting his soul enslaved.
@@bobybutb3956 no I mean, he manipulated him, from the beginning into eventually giving his soul willingly, of course he wouldn't need to manipulate him DURING
This makes me hopeful for Unbound Thresh as a storyline and a way to push his story forward. Appearance-aside I love that Thresh is going to have so much agency and become a serious threat to Runeterra as a whole, ascending beyond the Isles and decoupling a bit from being just Lucian's rival, that's the kind of evolution we need for characters.
Well, serious threat relative to the other pretty big but not catastrophic threats. He still has to beat The Void Wars, The Darkin Wars, Mordekaiser's reign, The World Runes, the celestial threats that Bard is getting ready for, etc etc.
I think you totally misread Thresh's intentions. He was not sympathetic towards Bort. He most certainly was just delighted by the humiliation. And even worse, he gives Bort a coin and seems pleased when the owner takes it away. Yes, he gave Bort a chance to get revenge on those who laughed at him, but he will soon regret it. But I guess Thresh would simply kill him if he didn't take the offer. In the end, I believe Thresh NEVER had any sympathy nor good intentions in this cinematic
i agree and disagree. i think that sure thresh was just playing with his food, but i think in a dark twisted way this is a morbid happy ending for bort. as he will get to torment and cause distress for threshes amusement as a kind of egor to threshes dark frankenstein.
This is where I say you might be half-wrong. We know Thresh is really into suffering. Thresh could see from the start he's being the gag of the inn, how greedy the boss is- how limp Bort can be. What's better to experience than the gag tormenting the boss?
It was a cursed offer, his soul for the chance for revenge He would have just taken his soul either way, but I think thresh gets a good kick out of corrupting people (since mort seems pretty innocent and kind at the start but snaps when he finally gets the chance) Its also very ironic for the people that where the abusers to become the abused, even more so by the person they abused. It's just layers of humiliation, corruption. irony and his own personal enjoyment.
As many of have mentioned I dont think Thresh was being sympathetic. Remember that Thresh unlike the others who we're affected by the blackmist is probably the most sane out of all of them which is concerning because hes a cruel and sadistic person even when he was still alive. He's simply playing with his food, finding some amusement for himself while his bigger scheme begins to unfold, after all he's finally free, he can do whatever he wants and the first thing on his mind is probably taking a look at all the new reaping grounds.
I actually really like how Bort's cursed hand stops attacking Bort after Thresh held it. I also think Thresh found more amusement from being able to "help" Bort instead of just capturing everyone
I definitely like this design I feel it is definitely different from Viego and I wouldn't mind this skin in main LOL outside of Wild Rift. Also the design aspects I definitely love aren't the pretty boy aspects but those claws, the weapons and This cinematic hardened my resolve in liking unbound Thresh. Also the helmet thing I didn't know about but it might be cool to have in-game
Something I noticed about that cinematic was that, although Bort said his claw arm had a mind of its own, at some moments you can see it behave with some unconscious instinct that could very well reflect Bort's own thoughts. For example, when Thresh first put down the coin, the claw didn't just smack it away or anything but was actually quick to grab it in its pincers. We know that Bort needed money so this reflects well with what he'd want. Also, later on when Bort was sweeping and feeling nervous, you could see the claw chattering a bit, almost like it felt the unease as well. Finally, when the innkeeper came out of his room, the claw immediately smacked him in the face which could point to Bort's resentment to him. I doubt it has anything else to do with the story or will feed back at any point but it is a interesting detail
I'm curious if Karthus, Kalista, and Hecarim are now dead dead considering Thresh is the only one getting more lore. (dead dead, as in taken by Kindred to the death realm).
They are, as far as I am aware, still bound to the mist and as long as it resides on the shadow isles they will remain there. So Thresh has now his own little army of psychopaths ready to unbind.
Here's an extra theory I have on 9:00 Bort didn't start working there with the lobster arm in the first place, it was the inn keeper that caused him to suffer such curse. Why? Because the line "Your curse is..." "...his profit, sir." could also mean that the inn keeper forced Bort to steal from a wealthy stranger, in this case a mage, and poor Bort got cursed because of his boss' selfish desire.
What I love in the cinematic is that, a lot of people thought Thresh is having this "human side" but in the end he still got his soul. Yes, there was a benefit for Bort but think about this, Thresh gets to imprison his soul in the most cunning way possible. Bort might be inflicting agony and tormenting to other people who bullied him (which is another thing that Thresh "might be" enjoying as well) but by the end of the Thresh still own all of there souls.
thresh is no more human, he sees Bort having a bad time and the only thing he does is just make the tormented the tormenter while still tormenting everyone
I dont think he was helping bort cause he felt bad, i think he enjoys the idea of taking the guy at the bottom of the food chain, and raisinig him to the top, bringing out the true evil side of humanity where Bort gets to exact his vengance againist those who bullied him in life. That is the ultimate torture for the inkeeper and guests
it would make sense if he joined the black rose, he should be familiar with elise since she constantly brings live people to the isles as well as vilemaw being a large monster that lives there
You can also make a solid argument that he's free from the chains of the isle and is looking to make himself more of a master. There is him, but there is still life and death. His wit allowed him to get this far, it's not too farfetched he has plans regarding Mord.
I love this cinematic it's so amazing. I wish thresh would have that mask he has when he gets out of the room so you can press ctrl 5 and take off and put on the mask.
some small details at 8:39 look at tresh's eyebrow he did the thing that says "look at this guy" towards bort's manager when hes obviously lying. also the fact that bort's hand started behaving when thresh touched it and even started trembling is just so good
bro ive been watching your videos from the beginning and the quality has progressively gone up ten folds. its super dope you show yourself now too! keep it up man I love your videos and they are honestly the only thing that kept me excited about league.
but it repairs itsself there is someone else in the comment section thy actually gave a really good Theory forgot their name sadly They said something about like the Old Lantern being the mist that is around him to give his disguise because from my thinking his face is a mask we saw his shadow and when he came out of door his face was skeleton the human face is just a disguise
I agree with Necrit here on thresh being sympathetic towards Bort here. In Threshs twisted mind its the best possible outcome for him, free of his curse and getting a little revenge. This is the twisted way Thresh took pity on him.
One small thing I noticed. Is how Bort used his new arm to do the whipping. Like it was once a violent claw but it was also that arm that inflicted torture towards those who made him miserable.
I see Thresh helping Bort less as a kindness out of sympathy, and more as a sort of twisted sense of Justice. Thresh sees a natural order of things, he has the power and the will to control, and those who were controlled like he did deserve a bit more respect then those who control.
5:44 Here the fact that thresh tells him put it into pocket before anyone does points out to the fact that thresh wanted the inn keeper to take it from him just to make bort sad, which makes thresh stronger hella sadistic!
Are you sure this shows that he is more human, or instead that Thresh sees an opportunity to cause extra suffering? It would undoubtedly cause significant suffering to the group of people at the Inn to be enslaved by Bort essentially. That said, he could see his old self in Bort's place kinda back when he was forced to work his lame vault job, so he may have had little sort of empathy as well. - After watching the video all the way through I see you touched on this so mb.
His true form is visible on the shadow reflected at the inn's wall. He picked up this one to walk among humans. Thresh is pulling a Sauron on Runeterra.
I think he isn't even using bort i think thresh is drawing pleasure from knowing that he helped the bullied boy and watching bort bully getting payback
I really dont want Thresh to join the Black Rose, bcs why would he? He's an allpowerful torctherer, who can now finally go wherever he wants, roam around the world and enjoy doing whatever he wants and doing things to work his way up to torcher as many people in the whole world as posible, and finally have the whole world enslaved and tormented. Why would he ever want to join the Black Rose?
Get close enough to dismantle those who have lived for centuries believing themselves untouchable and unstoppable. He lives for the challenge of breaking wills first and torturing second. Leblanc an the black rose overall are the most overconfident group of humans you can meet.
I personally feel he intends to free, and overthrow Mord. Gaining powers similar to how he has with the Black Mist (could be the reason for the crystal.) Likely for personal reasons, I can see him wanting to sit atop of a ruined world. But with future lore development he might gain some human side which would kinda suck and is gimping these god tier entities to prevent a future ruination or something.
My first issue was that his "flesh is a prison" line is a bit ridiculous if he is back in his human form. That issue remains. Though I like his new face. It fits way better than his splash art.
Imagine that. Thresh helps the bullied Bort, because HE used to be cut short by his brothers on the Blessed Isles. And he knows what it's like to be looked down on
He was put on vault guard duty because nobody liked him or wanted to be around him. Nobody looked down on Thresh, he was good at his job. Also he straight up kills Bort for sport and giggles. Now he's doomed to be Thresh's plaything for eternity.
@@supportyourself3861 from whose? thresh's point of view is probably something like bort = 1 more soul to claim. thresh revels in suffering, why not have someone else do the torturing for him. and when thresh is bored of that, torture him too
Or, perhaps the reason Thresh took to Bort was because he saw the potential to create more suffering through him, which would hold more true to his original intent. Maybe he saw that if he helped Bort (but not really, Bort gets his hand back because hes dead now, lol) it would give him a chance to increase the level of suffering which he could enjoy. Bort gets revenge on his tormentors and his hand back, and Thresh gets to enjoy seeing it all happen for eternity, since they are all spirits now.
Now, we could possibly get updates and screen time for some of the champions that we didn't get to see during the Ruination (Hecarim, Karthus, etc). They could prob be part of this new army Thresh is assembling
Hecarim and Ledros are controlled by him, Karthus wouldn't really approve of what Thresh is doing to the dead souls, torturing them although they could probably ally with each other, Kalista is busy doing her thing, Maokai needless to say would hate him, Vex wouldn't care about him probably, and Yorick would seek to destroy him. I wonder if Yorick and Thresh knew each other in life.
I think the fact that he decided to "help" Bort is because he knows the kind of misery he can inflict on all Bort's tormenters. Imagine, being shoved around by such a "lesser" person. It's just a new flavour of torment for Thresh.

Thresh clearly helped Bort out of irony, but also out of respect, Thresh felt like a slave, bound to the isles, he saw in bort a kindred spirit (no pun intended), who he could use to inflict further suffering, while also bringing freedom by proxy. Bort will forever be a tormentor, just like Thresh, and will be a constant reminder to Thresh, of his own newfound freedom. Also, Bort makes a good carriage driver, since he's respectful of Thresh. Thresh simply understand, that sometimes you catch more flies with a honey covered sickle, than with a vinegar covered sickle.

I get why he would use full human apperance to not give himself away too fast - but there is 0 reason I see for him to keep any type of human face once he 'hunts'...
Did you watch the cinematic? He didnt have his human face when killing everyone behind that door. He put his human face when he wanted to talk to Bart that way he can apear more convincing because he can use face expressions which were realy good.
The face and the skull on the coin IS Thresh. He changed forms, one side is what he was, and the other is what he is. The same markings found on the coin's skull are found on Thresh's face.
Things you missed in this cinematic - When lightning strikes, Thresh's eyes light up indicating that light was passing through his skin because he's still a monster - In the end, before entering the ride, he flips a coin indicating that he still got the coin back from Bort

Yes exactly my thinking
@Super Top Secret Area in my opinion Unbound Thresh means that he is no longer bound to the Shadow Isles, because of all the power he got from the mist. And the new looks is just like illusion to travel undercover and enslave souls. I mean nobody will will let in the city walking skeleton with a hook and lantern.
"there two sides for every transaction" Thresh remove the curse to Bort by simply getting his soul but, Bort was still a slave. He just have a different boss now. lmao

From my thinking his face is a mask we saw his shadow and when he came out of door his face was skeleton the human face is just a disguise
The look of unbound thresh in this animation was amazing but in game it still sucks sadly
i mean it can be a little bit of both?
This just shows on how Thresh can be much more terrifying outside the Shadow Isles not only that he can literally enslaved anyone he sees, He can also manipulate a person's vulnerable mind by just talking to them.
just like he did with so many other when he was still human
Thresh understanding what an unjust situation is doesn't necessarily have to do with him being more human.
I'd hold the memories he keeps as a torturer responsible for his ability to target which person is more vulnerable to his manipulation above all.
As you noted, he's better off assigning those who are miserable in life to thrive on improving his rulership, and occasional acts of sympathy are just a means towards that.
I mean - he can be truly sympathetic in some moments. Why the hell can't he? Especially after becoming a human and, idk, being kinda happy that he is free now.

Yep, i've seen many people, including Necrit, thinking that he actually cares about Bort, and i think they just were manipulated by Thresh as well :)
In the end, I believe Thresh NEVER had any sympathy nor good intentions in this cinematic
i think he will keep him becouse what will tormen other souls more then when the one which they bullied now bulli them
i agree and disagree. i think that sure thresh was just playing with his food, but i think in a dark twisted way this is a morbid happy ending for bort. as he will get to torment and cause distress for threshes amusement as a kind of egor to threshes dark frankenstein.
This is where I say you might be half-wrong. We know Thresh is really into suffering.
Thresh could see from the start he's being the gag of the inn, how greedy the boss is- how limp Bort can be.
What's better to experience than the gag tormenting the boss?
he even took back the coin he gave to bort
It was a cursed offer, his soul for the chance for revenge
He would have just taken his soul either way, but I think thresh gets a good kick out of corrupting people (since mort seems pretty innocent and kind at the start but snaps when he finally gets the chance)
Its also very ironic for the people that where the abusers to become the abused, even more so by the person they abused.
If they make Thresh look older like in the cinematic then it would not suck as much.
But that wouldn't sell to China

Still, Thresh is now the master of the mist, this is where Yorick shines. A monk v monk
Hecarim did have some part in a short story recently.
idk about Karthus. he feels more similar to Yorick since he seems to still have will of his own.
They are, as far as I am aware, still bound to the mist and as long as it resides on the shadow isles they will remain there. So Thresh has now his own little army of psychopaths ready to unbind.
Last I checked Hecarim is in Demacia enjoying his rampage across the place. Viego had put him in charge of the assault against the country.
Yes, but as far as I am aware that was during the ruination, and with the mist no longer spreading they should be stuck within the shadow isles.
They are at a bar, drinking away their sorrows of being forgotten XD

Here's an extra theory I have on 9:00
Bort didn't start working there with the lobster arm in the first place, it was the inn keeper that caused him to suffer such curse.
From my thinking his face is a mask we saw his shadow and when he came out of door his face was skeleton the human face is just a disguise

Hey Lego Ninjago fans anyone else hear Lord Garmadon at 7:47, looked it up and yep Mark Oliver voices Thresh and Garmadon
They should make the helmet a kind of chroma or ctrl+5 on his unbound skin for PC

Did anyone else notice that the bowl that Bort accidentally swatted away from Thresh’s table magically came back? Thresh’s magic/hook??
5:44 Here the fact that thresh tells him put it into pocket before anyone does points out to the fact that thresh wanted the inn keeper to take it from him just to make bort sad, which makes thresh stronger
hella sadistic!

Full of assumptions are stupid evidences.
Your opinions are not even based anymore.
His true form is visible on the shadow reflected at the inn's wall. He picked up this one to walk among humans. Thresh is pulling a Sauron on Runeterra.
Been maining him since s3 and i'm happy my boi is getting attention he deserves
I think he isn't even using bort i think thresh is drawing pleasure from knowing that he helped the bullied boy and watching bort bully getting payback

From my thinking as well his face is a mask we saw his shadow and when he came out of door his face was skeleton the human face is just a disguise
Thresh is definitely leaning into "the devil traveling as a man" trope.
Having a license gun would have served the same purpose.
Not every contract needs a "devil". It just need someone to accept it.
He's the current owner of the black mist I think, or at least being as nearly as powerful
Sure, we can revive and bind that Warlord to our will. **Que Mordekaiser rampage**
Future Thresh can have many forms, this shows that in the video thresh has capacity to blend in with the Black Rose and topple it all down.
I love that little 'Get a load of this guy.' look that Thresh gives Bort.
My first issue was that his "flesh is a prison" line is a bit ridiculous if he is back in his human form. That issue remains. Though I like his new face. It fits way better than his splash art.
He sounds so comforting and dangerous at the same time
Imagine that.

Thresh is full Alucard now
Sexy on the outside, ridiculously powerful and oddly sympathetic on the inside
definitely loving the direction they're taking and going with my boy. They are at least doing him right, and justice
The way Thresh treats his time on the Shadow Isles makes it seem as though he felt trapped on the Blessed Isles as well.
I like Thresh in this cinematic. But base Unbound Thresh still sucks.

Also yes, black rose also tie to Morderkaiser... Tho i also wonder, those keys looks A LOT like fiddle one (maybe a lil more polished)
People never hated Tresh (over the enemy bot laner), people did not like why he turned into a sexy boy when is the least thing he care about; happly got turned down even if retain a good look and elegant vibe
Pretty sure Zoe is the one that has fiddle's keys or someshit
@@InternetAddict069 yes zoe have one of fiddle key, tho have the other older demon ("fiddlestick first of ten") have some too?
Is the black mist just the paradox of Viego sword (wich had a piece of viego soul in it) kill viego? Or there is more into it?
It's true of most jailor the key are a big icon used for describe it too, so who know
Automatic subscribe, best explanation, no bias, no bullshit, just facts, understanding, and details. Amazing 👏👏👏
I fking wish they'd make animations about Swain... I really wish he was present literally anywhere... please?
Yeah same. The literal Grand General of Noxu not getting a cinematic is a crime. Isn't he supposed to be all knowing and has ravens everywhere for gathering info? Wouldn't it be cool if they aren't gonna show Swain, at least have a flock of ravens in the background to show that while he isn't in the cinematic, he still has eyes everywhere and is always watching. Goes for other cool champions too. Like why the fuck didn't we get an Atreus vs Aatrox cinematic? Or literally any of the Freljordian demigods.
I wish we had a cinematic for Prestige Ruined Pantheon and a quote going like:
"Neither gods, demons, nor the undead will yield me!"
Necrit: Noxus Invading Freljord
Meanwhile Syndra Chilling On Her Floating Malphite
I don't think Thresh is being sympathetic here I see this more as him out sourcing his turturing since his area of operation has expanded
Sure~~
I like how when the inn keeper is grabbed and starts yammering Thresh jerks his eye brow like "get a load of this guy"
Im starting to like looking at necrit so that i dont need to look at the same images and animations over and over
The shadow of him as a "monster" IS Thresh. The face is a mask, and it wasn't a helmet when he stood in the moonlight. Just tentacles down for the cool light reveal
I think "Redeemed" is very big word - it for the first time gave us ANY context about this Thresh lore progression (that ngl, is pretty cool!) and slightly improved the model...
I get why he would use full human apperance to not give himself away too fast - but there is 0 reason I see for him to keep any type of human face once he 'hunts'...
Necrit is a shill. The lore youtubers of LoL are a joke.
@@Drake00000010 yeah hes a shill after making 2 videos ranting about ruination lore.
The way I see it is to show some evolution, kinda how Miss Fortune now only wears captain MF skin now
Did you watch the cinematic? He didnt have his human face when killing everyone behind that door. He put his human face when he wanted to talk to Bart that way he can apear more convincing because he can use face expressions which were realy good.
@@Drake00000010 oh no, a hate watcher
The face and the skull on the coin IS Thresh. He changed forms, one side is what he was, and the other is what he is. The same markings found on the coin's skull are found on Thresh's face.
Things you missed in this cinematic
- When lightning strikes, Thresh's eyes light up indicating that light was passing through his skin because he's still a monster
- In the end, before entering the ride, he flips a coin indicating that he still got the coin back from Bort
Thresh did enslave Bort, but he did do it his way. Allowing Bort to payback for his suffering whilst getting all their souls is win win for him.
Unbound Tresh still need his moustache thought.
Thresh seems to be using his human face to manipulate and corrupt people, if he kept his creep stache he’d have a much harder time doing so
Now I’m imagining thresh with the braum mustache

The "chained" warden. Imprisoning souls while he himself is imprisoned, or was. What a beautiful ironic story of an equally beautiful champion.
