Just my thought. Jhin would never go to piltover and call the attention of the most lethal assassin there without a plan. Right at the end you can see his shoulder cannon locked onto Camille, so he's probably going to wreck her day
Sorry Necrit, but this cinematic is definitely foreshadowing future events in the lore. This was already confirmed to be the case by a few Rioters. For the Jhin vs Camille segment, Jhin's first short story ends with him traveling to Piltover and Zaun to take out some targets assigned by the Ionian cabals. Riot August affirmed this over a year ago, when he said that Jhin would become a serious threat to Vi, Caitlyn and Camille in their duty to protect Piltover, and here we see Camille tracking down Jhin, who has probably assassinated a few wealthy, corrupt Piltover business people in the middle of a theater. Secondly, the Ionion vs Noxus battle in the cinematic shows Irelia at her current age and Sion revived as the undead juggernaut that we know him as, which implies that this is Noxus's second attempt at invading Ionia. We know this because Irelia was only 14 or so during the time of the first Noxian invasion, and that Sion wasn't revived until Swain rose to power, since Boram Darkwill was Noxus's original leader during the first invasion. Yasuo is there because he has already been forgiven after last year's Confession of a Broken blade short story, which confirmed that Ionia now knows he's innocent. So he must be helping the other Ionian champs for a personal chance to redeem his sins (all the soldiers and bounty hunters he killed while he was a wanted man.) Meanwhile, Shen isn't with Akali and Kennen because he refused to help in the fight against any future Noxian invasions and as a result, Akali and Kennen deliberately decided to leave the Kinkou Order as a response. I don't know the entire deal with Riven and Draven, but if I had to guess, Riven returned to Noxus in an effort to better the empire and rid it of its current corruption, and was immediately labeled as a war criminal on her return, since Leblanc and the Black Rose planned for her to die back in Ionia, when her blade inadvertently acted as a kind of sleeper agent, killing Yasuo's master through a self-detonated explosion. So yes, this is 100% foreshadowing future events, and maybe I'm stretching it - but I think we might even see these events unfold in Riot's upcoming game - Legends of Runeterra, which was trademarked not too long ago.

Necrit is good, but he deserves no respect for obviously missing the point this is the future, and John was released and started doing assassin jobs. So Camille is there because he must have affected the Ferros family.
A Rioter (Lore Writer) twitted that this are future events, Noxus second attempt on invading Ionia, what would make possible for riven to be at the arena, the scene where she drops her chain shows that she isn't tied to the Noxian Army anymore, that she fights against it, what would make even more sense to see Draven (and Darius) so glad about this event. And if it is in the future, Yasuo could be back to fight, as he found some sort of peace within him or something like it. But i'm not sure about any of this.

Whole Arena scene can be part of Rivens execution . You know she is kept on chain so she can't run away from other gladiators so she can be killed by them . That can explain why all Arena is full and thats for reason they annouced execution of well know deserter . Then Draven leap from his seat with his weapons drawned . He is the main exectioner . In his lore he execute people ,,with style'' that's why he jumped down . He is gonna execute her so he can again entertain people and again ,,shine'' . I think those scenes are from future event . Sion in Ionia can be Swains idea because he is literally unkillable war machine and he want to test it in Ionia for future battles against Demacia . In Jhins case why he is in Piltover can be explained by his quotes in whitch he refers that he is Killer for hire . Taunt towards champion from nexus he says : ,,I've been asked to do so many boring performances in your nation'' so he was just payed to make Camille ,,beautiful'' on stage . Sorry for my grammar I just rushed to write my opinion about this :) Peace
if Draven wanted to execute Riven, he would've just left her defenseless and do it right away. But he didn't - instead, he gave her her weapon and freed her from her chains just so he could have a fair battle with her.

I thought it was weird seeing Yasou join the fight, but after thinking it over, it could be possible, Ionia after all isn't a unified nation. Many of its villages are isolated similar to feudal Japan with every community with their own beliefs and culture. As a wandering fugitive perhaps he noticed the incoming invasion and ensuing conflict and decided to temporarily step in and help, especially as a skilled swordsman he could not stand idle by and watch blood be spilled and perhaps in doing so he can atone for his past negligence

about irelia, she was 12 when the first war happened, and now she is 19-20, so this is swin second invasion, wich would explain why sion is here, as for yasuo, a chance to fight in a war is the best chance he can get for redemption, don't forget that yasuo is not looking for forgivness, he seec redemption on it's own, and protecting he contry insted of his late master is the best way. as for riven, she did say that she wented to rebuild noxus to it's former glory in her old lore, maybe that lore is not complietly redconned, and she went back in an atemp to make her dream true. as for jin and camille... idk... i belive this cinematique is ether like you said, not cannon, or it is in the futur, after all jhin was escaping from ionia i his lore with zed and shen, so maybe he sucsseded and is now in piltover, showing of his art.

when irelia fought against noxus, she was a child, and in the cinematic she is not. Could this be a teaser of whats gonna happen? another ionian invasion perhaps...
it's super interesting watching this a couple years later because now, with the sentinels of light event, you see that the scene with draven and riven is actually canon - we meet her in the cells of draven's fighting pit and then later escape with senna, lucian, and vayne. it was some really excellent foreshadowing on riot's part
Necrit maybe is something in the future, it seems that people believe everything is happening in histories that will be canon in the future, it could be that noxians are invading ionia again and in the invasion the village in which riven lives was already destroyed and riven was captured, that could be to the reason yasuo is with the ionians. And because everything is in the future nothing in the cinematic is concluded.
Years later we see the revelation revealed! In the sentinels of light event, Riven is in the cells of Draven's fighting pit and then later escapes with Senna, Lucian, and Vayne.
There is a way in which the cinematic could be canon. 1.- Necrit assumes the cinematic is showing the first Ionian invasion. I think this is a completely new invasion of Ionia. We see Irelia using her blades (an ability she learned during the invasion), Sion is there (who was not resurrected until after the invasion), and the Kinkou are in the fight, Yasuo could be trying to earn redemption fighting the noxians. It could be a simple raid instead of a full-on invasion though. 2.- The Arena scene is showcasing a point in Riven's past. Before the (first) invasion of Ionia. The only point in time this could have to happen is in the past. That said Riven's sword poses a problem as it was supposed to be crafted specifically for Riven, what could have happen is that the blade was broken before, it was repaired for Riven and she broke the blade again. So I think this cinematic could be trying to confuse us by showing 3 unrelated scenes and different points in time, the arena (past), the theater (present), Ionia (future)
2nd reason sunk. I'm pretty sure noxus might have won that battle. Or atleast maybe have destroyed the village wherein riven lives. And it would be expected riven would fight. So she was probably captured and now a part of fleshing
While I agree, I think the Riven factor occurs at the same time as the second invasion. She may have been captured again and taken back to the Arena. Her sword was whole until the events after the first Ionian invasion due to her meeting with Yasuo's master in the broken blade series. I think it makes sense to be after, but again these are all theories.
They really could do an amazing twist with the Camille and Jhin story. The story would be told by Camille's point of view that way we can see how brutally and bloody the soldiers die while how beautiful Jhin sees it.
This video is canon. It is confirmed by multiple writers on Twitter. Ariel Lavrence, the head of narrative, said that she is "very excited to dig into these stories." and Philip Vargas said "We'll be exploring these stories in the future"
Honestly, this is like my 3rd video watching you. I have played this game so much, but having someone able to explain the lore from videos and just facts in general is so nice. I'll read the lore but sometimes I can't read it all. And some is hard to understand. Thank you for these videos! :D
My first thought regarding riven was that it tied into the events happening in ionia, its quite possible during this invasion (with sion leading) they captured riven and attempted to make an example out of her.
Not to mention that if Riven were recovered and labeled as a deserter, putting her in The Fleshing (where everyone who participates ends up dead) would make sense. Draven overseeing it as the Executioner for people sentenced to die (see The Fleshing above) would naturally then go to fight Riven as the sole survivor. Giving her the sword back being a part of the showmanship he has and because The Fleshing, unlike public executions, does involve weapons, so he would want her armed (properly) for the highest stakes.
Sion Rework was one of the first Lore changes to fit into the new league-verse, also in his Lore, his first death, when he killed Jarvan 1 was generations before he was reworked. Hes titled as a Warhero of an bygone Era, so his Rework trailer/teaser shows the resurection of his Body in his Mausoleum. After that trailer the new Lore was published and while he was dead that long time, he probably suffered some braindamage (would explain his incomplete sentences and words in his lore). So chronologically it must be like -> Kill Jarv. 1., Died, buried for 50+ Years, gets resurected by swain (who was wounded in the battle of ionia, according to new lore).
i have a theory about the bracelet blades that u saw on the wall behind draven i believe that it belongs to nocturne before he became the thing he is now i believe he was human whom lived in noxus and something happened to him maybe in someway transfered him to the spirit realm where he changed forms maybe he went mad after entering the spirits world cuz he does sound like a mad in the game and he found a way to take a form in the material world and terrorize people cuz nocturne uses the same weapon and no other character do so and i don't believe it's a new champion teaser also it may be some random model they used
LegenWing Nocturne’s blades run more along where his forarms would’ve been if he were still human though so I’m not sure about that. Cool thought though
Nocturne is about to receive a full rework soon so they may be teasing that instead of a shade of unknown origin Nocturne may be now a victim of Singed's experiments - just like Warwick.
Except in theory nocturne is Zeds shadow, when zed became who is he a part of him was ripped away, you can also back this up by nocturne and zeds voice lines and their emotes and jokes, and its been hinted at since 2014 during Q and A's dunno they never Confirmed it but its been a solid possibility for a long time and zed did use arm blades during his training under his master, before taking up the famous assassins hidden blade he currently uses now
Riven was super young when she was enlisted. And they gifted her a full blade. When she left, she shattered it. But that would be a cool alternate story.
No lol he closes the piano lid in the shot before Draven jumps down, then he just spins around as he stands to shoot because he loves the flair of spinning to stand up. Hey necrit, I was wondering after my like 5th watch why there is an Vlad claw thingy next to rivens blade behind draven. Did draven betray Vlad? Because that doesn't really seem possible. Or is it something similar? Edit: well never mind you covered it already, wrote the comment before watching. Edit2, maybe jhin is blind on one eye, because you can always just see one. And maybe you know someone in lore with one eye?
I believe it was stated in Necrit's vid on Jhin's lore that Jhin wears a kind of black thing under his mask that covers one eye and restricts his breathing. Think it was to make a "better performance" as Jhin sees it that way. The one eye is covered to take away his depth perception. I could be wrong though.
I dont actually think its Vladimirs claws, there are only 3 visible, but vlad has 5 and also the shape is off. They look a lot more like madreds razor (old item)
In the original video at 2:04 when camille looks at a soldier ,who got caught in one of Jhin's trap, her eyes turn orange, as the symbol of phisical damage, so you can be right Necrit when you assume that those purple explosions are only in Jhins' mind and he doesnt use magic in his traps at all.
Noxus, Piltover, Ionia... But where is Demacia? Thoose 4 are the most important zones in Runeterra. Maybe Demacia is destroyed by the Sylas's revolution?

I don't think that purple smoke we see is blood depicted elsewise in Jhin's mind, and here's why. In game, Jhin has this line: "This would be much easier if blood came in more colours." So if we take this as basis, Jhin knows very well that blood is red, and nothing else.
In his mind doesn't necessrily mean believing it's true. You just gave us reason to believe Necrit's theory: Jhin wishes blood came in more colors. Here, he imagines blood as purple.

Griphan L you could say that despite all, yasuo’s sense of duty kicks in again and he returns to the fight regardless of what people might think

Darius doesn't cheer Draven becuz hes making a great battle.
He was shouting says " Don't throw those blades, SWING IT damn8".
Sure ill read all that
if Draven wanted to execute Riven, he would've just left her defenseless and do it right away. But he didn't - instead, he gave her her weapon and freed her from her chains just so he could have a fair battle with her.
@@alexbratkov4086 But Draven loves showing how great he is. He also enjoys creating shows, which he did when he gave his victim equal chances
@@alexbratkov4086 & OP If Riven were captured and labeled as a deserter/war criminal, putting her in The Fleshing (where everyone who participates ends up dead) would make sense. I thought it was weird seeing Yasou join the fight, but after thinking it over, it could be possible, Ionia after all isn't a unified nation. Many of its villages are isolated similar to feudal Japan with every community with their own beliefs and culture. As a wandering fugitive perhaps he noticed the incoming invasion and ensuing conflict and decided to temporarily step in and help, especially as a skilled swordsman he could not stand idle by and watch blood be spilled and perhaps in doing so he can atone for his past negligence

about irelia, she was 12 when the first war happened, and now she is 19-20, so this is swin second invasion, wich would explain why sion is here, as for yasuo, a chance to fight in a war is the best chance he can get for redemption, don't forget that yasuo is not looking for forgivness, he seec redemption on it's own, and protecting he contry insted of his late master is the best way.
as for riven, she did say that she wented to rebuild noxus to it's former glory in her old lore, maybe that lore is not complietly redconned, and she went back in an atemp to make her dream true. as for jin and camille... idk...

Could this be a teaser of whats gonna happen? another ionian invasion perhaps...
THAT HAT THO...I NEED IT
it's super interesting watching this a couple years later because now, with the sentinels of light event, you see that the scene with draven and riven is actually canon - we meet her in the cells of draven's fighting pit and then later escape with senna, lucian, and vayne. it was some really excellent foreshadowing on riot's part
Riot already stated in the forum, those event happen in the futur.
Jhins bullets are infused with pieces of his soul. "I wanted to feel everything, the gun makes it so i can..."
"The place is all over the place."

6:58 Draven spams his mastery emote as always
6:14 I think that's just the Jaurim's Fist item. It has that vertical blade on it like you were talking about.
"So now we have inting Sion versus the entire enemy team."
@Necrit my guy you should prolly update this now that basically this whole Cinematic is in fact canon.
Another is that the triumfirex was not formed prior the first invasion. It was after
2nd reason sunk.
Yasuo the Minion Killer
They really could do an amazing twist with the Camille and Jhin story. The story would be told by Camille's point of view that way we can see how brutally and bloody the soldiers die while how beautiful Jhin sees it.
Is it just me, or are the scenes of Camille so BADASS

1., Died, buried for 50+ Years, gets resurected by swain (who was wounded in the battle of ionia, according to new lore).
i have a theory about the bracelet blades that u saw on the wall behind draven
i believe that it belongs to nocturne before he became the thing he is now i believe he was human whom lived in noxus and something happened to him maybe in someway transfered him to the spirit realm where he changed forms maybe he went mad after entering the spirits world cuz he does sound like a mad in the game and he found a way to take a form in the material world and terrorize people
cuz nocturne uses the same weapon and no other character do so and i don't believe it's a new champion teaser also it may be some random model they used
LegenWing Nocturne’s blades run more along where his forarms would’ve been if he were still human though so I’m not sure about that. Cool thought though
Nocturne is about to receive a full rework soon so they may be teasing that instead of a shade of unknown origin Nocturne may be now a victim of Singed's experiments - just like Warwick.
Except in theory nocturne is Zeds shadow, when zed became who is he a part of him was ripped away, you can also back this up by nocturne and zeds voice lines and their emotes and jokes, and its been hinted at since 2014 during Q and A's dunno they never Confirmed it but its been a solid possibility for a long time and zed did use arm blades during his training under his master, before taking up the famous assassins hidden blade he currently uses now
@@ripLunarBirdCLH the only problem in this is that nocturne has nothing to do with chemtech
It's so cool that Camille vs Jhin was shown from Jhin's twisted perspective, showing how he sees killing people as artistic
I think he has an enchanted gun that does this.
What If that's how riven got noticed by the noxians? In other words, that that scene scene took place before Riven being enlisted in the army.
Cool theory, but if that was the case than why was the runeblade already broken
Also riven would have been much younger. Like 12
Riven was super young when she was enlisted. And they gifted her a full blade. When she left, she shattered it. But that would be a cool alternate story.
adn no way, she was a small child. Besides, the blade is broken
@@axelpetersson5787 yeah I don't know much about Riven. It was just a thought that struck me.

Actually orange means AD
I thought that was her analyzing what her enemy was using, deciding if AD or AP.
15:38 If this is true, then its the cutest thing in the whole cinematic
Did jhin stop playing the piano and close the lid, but then the next time you see him he stops playing (the already closed piano) and fires????
Yes
No lol he closes the piano lid in the shot before Draven jumps down, then he just spins around as he stands to shoot because he loves the flair of spinning to stand up. His hands if they are even still touching the piano in the motion he draws with are just running along the piano lid, it doesn’t move.
Great video! I think that parts with Camille and Jhin are the best parts of this cinematic. Btw, oh yeah yeah!
