My jku jeep little sluggish lately . Thanks Jason . Plus I'm cleaning radiator with hand pump off Amazon clean out system distilled water refill new anti freeze maintenance - maintenance keeps wreckers away . Like you mentioned in past videos .
I have always enjoyed watching your videos, even though I have never tried to install any of your upgrades as my mechanical skills are a negative 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I mess up everything I touch including trying this product. I could not get the hose of the product to connect to my A/C port which required my neighbors help. Then, I kept adding additive every 15 seconds and ended up overfilling my system. Nothing but hot air is coming from my system now. Found another RUclips video which shows how to bleed the system by slowly letting additive out. Just ordered the parts on Amazon. Will try to balance the system this weekend. For me, the gauge did not work right. The final reading was in the green zone, but I did overfill the system.
Sorry to hear about this. Not sure how the gauge could read incorrect at 15 second intervals but I guess it could happen. I hope the system balance works out well... sounds kind of fun at least.
Great spot! I'm a life long RC fan... I don't have any nitro anymore but used to race 1/8 buggy and truggy and of course had a traxxas nitro at some point... lol
@@AutoEdits That's awesome. I had no idea you were an RC fan/ racer. I used to race carpet on on road touring car. Nitro and I never got along very well...lol
Well since you recommend it, I'm going to A/C Pro a try. I should recharge AC on my Tahoe, it's been a few years. See how you become a inter-web influencer? Hey, how's Pinto? Hope surgery went OK.
HA! It really helped the tired system in my truck. Thanks for asking about Pinto, she had a vet visit last week and she is looking much better lately and that has me thrilled.
I bought an A/C Pro refill today and had problems (the one with the color coded gauge -- I could not find the one used in your video at AutoZone or Home Depot). I encountered some problems -- I am sure it was me although I followed the directions. The readings I got from the gauge were low before I added the refrigerant and on the low side of the green when I finished adding the entire contents of the can (18 oz). Thinking I needed more since the system was still not cooling adequately, I hooked the gauge up to another can of refrigerant. When I reinstalled the gauge on the low pressure line and checked the pressure, it shows that it is overfilled (well into the red). I am planning to take the Jeep to my mechanic tomorrow to address my own inferior work.
Sorry to hear about having some trouble. Are you certain when you rechecked and saw the over pressure reading that the compressor was running? If the a/c isn't on and the compressor spinning, the low pressure side shows a high pressure which is normal. Double check that first but hope you get it resolved with little more drama!
@@AutoEdits When I did the initial refill, the compressor was running. When I remeasured it, I had the A/C on, but it is possible that the compressor was not running. I just assumed it was, but that may be why it was reading too high.
No way! Hasn't something similar happened before with other videos I've done like that. Either way... I was happy the truck was refreshed because it came in handy taking Pinto to the doctor the other day.
Never forget the cabin filter. Unfortunately my 2011 ram Longhorn does not have one. Now my evaporator is clogged up They make a lot for a cabin filter. You only figure it out when it's too late. The recycle button helps a little. Anybody got an idea about cleaning it without tearing dash apart?
A properly charged ac puts out colder air as the cabin gets colder. There is an acceptable range of split from the air going in to the air coming out. The only way to properly charge is to pull a vacuum and weigh it in. There is always a sticker under the hood to tell you the proper ounces of refrigerant. Overcharging will give you colder air...at the same time it has potential to freeze up and also cause compressor damage. Using pressure only like this device is outdated. Not to mention dumping stop leak in on a frequent basis...doesn't sound appealing to me.
@@AutoEdits I noticed you put the camera at an extreme angle so that it wasn't really shown. Love the intro. I just thought it was odd that you would blur that out.
you need a vacuum pump to clear the line first , your just adding alittle Regular air as you did this ..alot of places Will not even look at your car if you used sealant type freon to fix the leak,,Sealants can also damage the internals of the ac unit.. best thing to do , Get it done correctly the first time.. with Proper equipment . You actually don't even know how much Freon you're actually putting into the system you have to weigh the freon on a scale ... The pressure you're reading has nothing to do with it also The pressure on the high side is just as important ,,that's why you need the proper equipment... It might be great in the short run,,, but in the long run it will do more damage
I appreciate the input for sure but my local shop has no problem servicing systems after adding the AC pro. Like I mentioned in the video, I've been using this stuff for a long time in different vehicles and it has gotten me through summer before in my old truck... when the temperature broke I took it in to a regular shop and they replaced the leaky seals and filled it again without an issue.
Yes and no, being an EPA certified A/C technician. If your vehicle, or any A/C system, is in hotter conditions over time you may actually have to slightly overcharge the system to bring your temperatures down to where you want them. We had to do it all the time with our systems when I was stationed in Bahrain.
Awesome how to video. Need more Ram content. Love the trail reviews. 🤘🏽
Thanks! Will do!
Great vid :) love seeing the Ram on the channel!
Glad you enjoy it!

I can’t believe it’s that hot in Cali!!! Great stuff as always👍🏻👍🏻
We were having a hot streak that week for sure... thanks!
My AC is fine in my jku 2016 but I’m watching just because it’s you! Lol always good content
Thanks so much!!! I appreciate that a ton!
Great DIY project.
Thanks, it's an easy one... and necessary for this summer.
So why were all the Ram logos blurred but the 4wheelparts wasn't?
Just what they requested.
Hows the jasper engine holding? I'm thinking of installing a remanufactured engine and tranny from jaspers.
The engine has been fantastic. There are plenty of videos since the install of the truck in action.
Awesome How to Video Bro!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
We need more ram videos Jason! I need inspiration and the push to buy another truck!😂
I literally just bought some ac/pro, walk out of autozone and check my phone to see this.
Ha! Hope it goes as well for you as mine did!
110° already in California - Yikes. Glad you're not melting Jason.
We had a hot spell that week, even had to take Pinto to the vet and was thankful for a nice cool truck.
Just did mine 08 Tacoma. Blowing cold now. Well see how long it lasts. Hopefully until summer is over!
That's where I'm at!

I’ll give it a try! Mine leaks constantly. 2015 Laramie 1500. I’m told it’s a common problem with their new A/C systems. I’ll be sure to follow up.
I didn't know that about those trucks... hope this helps! I've been happy so far.
When you say leak what do you mean. Is it the condensation on the ground or water leaking on the inside or gas leaking out?
Change your cabin air filter.
I'm gonna go buy it right now.

@@AutoEdits Cool. Glad to hear she's doing better.
I have a question, I have the one with the blue Ac pro , the temperature is 40c and above. When I measure it, it is above 60 or 70 PSI, is it normal?
I have a dumb question. Is it possible that you lose AC refrigerant without any leaks in the system? I thought this is not possible.
That would be correct in theory. This truck did benefit from a "top off" and it's a 2009
I gotta try this on the powerstroke the AC just blows warm air lol
Careful you don’t overcharge it like I did 💀it blew all of the coolant into the cab thru the vents
And check your cabin filter.
Haha, well timed. Just recharged mine.
Really... hope it worked out well. I was very pleased with this refresh.

This truck doesn't have a cabin filter.
may i ask why you blurred the logo?
Just a request from the company, I didn't mind since we all know what truck that is.

All good data. I didn't recommend using this as a common practice but to get through the summer.
great video, but we need more tahoe videos 😀👍
Working on it! Lots of parts are showing up for it.

Yes, Ford asked to have it pulled down.
Haha just by seeing the first 15 sec of the vid knew it was going to be good!! Awesome work!
Ha thanks! I’m glad they let me keep that in there… fits my personality.
why did you blurr the ram logo? LOL
That was at the request of the AC pro folks... I don't mind... we know what kind of truck it is.
If you're recharging there's a leak
True, but a small leak developed over years can be slowed by the additives until doing a full seal replacement.
....which in some cases will require a can of 'dashboard remover' - lol
A whole can?
