I love Labrie, have the utmost respect for his talent and he's solid in this...but I almost sympathize for him when Russell takes the lead....there goes Labrie right out of the water!
He's actually a very good lead guitarist. It was surely a pitiful rendition, but mind it was recorded in 2005, 3 years after Dave lost much of the movement of his left hand and was still relearning to play.
I'd never thought that I'd see Dave Mustaine playing with Dream Theater
LaBrie was on point in this performance!
Dream Theater with Russell Allen ... best band ever.

Dimebag Darrell ABBOTT. Not Williams.
1966 - 2004.
I can't believe they would release this officially.
Progressive Gigantour 2025 Dream Theater Symphony X Opeth Haken
the guitars were on point
Next time in Chile they should play some song of Los Jaivas
megadeth with poortnoy on drum, that would be bad ass line up
Love ya Mustaine, but uh, yeah.... shoulda worked on that solo a bit more.
Everything sounded great... Until Mustaine screwed up the solo! Lol!
Lmfao!!!! He butchered that solo
Where was this?
made me appreciate phils vocals so much more!!!
Poor Mustaine. He only got the first note of the solo right and ruined everything else. hahahaha
learned a lot from this performance...mainly that Dave isnt a good lead guitarist... His portion of the solo was laughable.

gcavaresi i dont think that was the issue. all daves solos sound like that going back
to the early days of Metallica
The worst part was his tone. Couldn't pick out any of the individual notes.
