Camping the West Highland Way - Day 6 (Bridge of Orchy - Kingshouse) & an unplanned ending (for now)

Today we set off from Bridge of Orchy and head across the wilderness of Rannoch Moor, before finishing in beautiful Glencoe.
I'm also joined by a deer for dinner!
Unfortunately, this is the end of my West Highland Way adventure, for now. I'll definitely be back to finish the last stretch, but this probably won't be until September/October 2024. Stay tuned!

Hi Kim, glad you had a good walk to kingshouse, I really enjoyed the walk over Ranoch moor and Glencoe with the spectacular scenery.
When I was on that section in early June, we had some rain, hailstone, sleet then some snow all in a couple of hours.
So the weather definitely was changeable, I hope you are now feeling better and fully recovered from your illness.
The Devil’s staircase section I didn’t find it too difficult, it sounds worse than it actually is, I look forward to your next film on the WHW.

Thank you! Yes, feeling fully back to normal now, but stopping was definitely the right thing to do.
I'll be back to enjoy the last part of the WHW in good weather and feeling fully healthy!

I also pulled out at Kingshouse in April, am going back in September to finish what I started.

We will get there! It will be nice tackling the last 25 miles feeling fresh and rested. I'm really looking forward to it!
