Always take precautions before you drink an unknown source of water for the first time. I was in Costa Rica high atop a mountain above the cloud forest and got dreadfully sick from drinking at a well at this secluded location where I thought I was high above any contamination. You should boil, use iodine tablets or filter your water before you drink it...until the next one !!
European freedom campers in NZ have a reputation for crapping everywhere in the wilds. Go to any rest area and walk around and youll see bits of loo paper etc... {though they should be getting the message its not acceptable} so being in Europe its not surprising you go somewhere you think is nice and safe - and some crapper has been there before - is why you got sick. Thankfully for Eva its private land and filtered throught the earth - but yes - Id take little sip too and boil.
any stagnant water shouldnt be drinkable, if its a running water like a stream it should be good to drink if you dont have anything to boil with, just incase if theres a chance you're lost in the wilderness with nothing.
In Central Europe, like Poland, or Slovakia where I am from, water like this is absolutely safe to drink. These are mountain streams, filtered and mineralised, 99% of the time safe to drink. It's Eva's home country, I'm sure she knows. I understand that in other parts of the world this would be dangerous, but Ce tral Europe is absolutely fine 😊
I was fortunate to grow up on 74 acres, in the mountains of western Washington. Countless days spent exploring every little trail, tree, creek, animals, and plant. Now it sustains me in so many ways. I get food and medicine from it, and still explore it, because thing change in the forest over 60 years time. I have literally had the pleasure of watching trees grow. Some people think my life is boring, I think my life is amazing. I have been blessed by the forest spirit. I hope so much for you to also be blessed by the forest spirit. Vilk seems quite at home, and that is super cool to see. You sure picked the right partner!
Really well said and I could not agree more - both in the expression of the experience and my own lived experience which is quite, dare I say very, similar. If more people could stop what is spinning all around them I think they, as well, would see the value in such a life...not everyone of course but more...and in so doing help align our society to live in accord with nature and not in confrontation with nature.
I can't express in words how happy I am for you. I mentioned on your last post that I was a little envious of the green lushness of your property. But now it goes even further. At 4:30, the peace and serenity you were apparently feeling came out of the screen and soothed my heart. I am, generally, a happy, content, and positive person. That was just a little nudge beyond my norm. Thank you. As to divining water, I have a story. My uncle bought property several decades ago. He hired geology students from the nearby university to find the location for a well. 3 tries and 3 wells later resulted in very little success. Locals told my uncle of a "witcher" higher up the mountain. In only a few hours he found a spot. That well has been serving the property for over 40 years without an issue. Good luck in getting your place set up. Excited to see your progress.
I've been watching since your first entered the USA. It's interesting to follow the ups and downs of someone else from afar, online. I must say that your vibe has always been welcoming but you seem to be shining extra bright here, as you discover yet again something new. Wish you the best.
OMG this place is sooo beautiful! Our little corner of the world is so lush! As a Czech, I felt really connected with what you said in your last video, Eva. I also felt a lot of resentment for being Slavic, because I experienced the second-class citizen treatment while I lived in the USA and the UK. It took me years to heal that and now that I live back in Czechia, I often think about where I want to eventually live and settle down. I do want to be in close proximity to mountains to practice trail running and hiking. Learning about the Carpathian mountains was a wow moment for me. I'm not ready to choose yet, but what great options we have here!

I love watching your videos and came across your channel 2 months ago. You are such an amazing woman and I love Vilk. Please continue sharing your life journey and may your new property become the home you have been searching for. You are a great example of a brave, strong, loving woman doing what she is called to do.
Eva, I couldn't think of a better person to have bought this sacred land. I'm so happy that you have become a guardian of this beautiful piece of Poland. Our mother land 💝
Hermit living! It seems you don’t want companionship in your life. You have said many times you don’t like being around many people. You did have a boyfriend traveling with you in the states and made it seem like you were all alone. You did mislead many of your subscribers when you did that.
@@robsuffridge9298 Why do you say that, for a lot of us in this world our personal lives are sacred and we would rather keep it private. I'm sure this is probably the same for Eva, especially given she is on a public platform. Also consider that her partner will have his own boundaries that may well have meant he did not wish to be in the public eye. Just a thought as I think your statement over Eva misleading her fan base is rather unfair.

We are so excited to have you share this journey with us. I loved your offering to the land and all who use it; that was amazing and fitting. I love your video work. The property and surrounding areas have great depth of color, and your drone work really helps tell the story. You are one of my very favorite storytellers. Continued success.
Beautifully filmed and a real expression of your love of nature and your land. People marvel at the beauty of the natural environment but often miss the little things in nature. The things children find when exploring and they too contribute to the experience and appreciation of what surrounds us.
Back in the day when I was learning Fung Shui one of the things we learned was how to find the energy lines like water, black water, ley lines, and fault lines to name a couple. Having your home on a ley line good. Having it on a water line or fault line or black water not good at all. So glad you have help to locate those. Because I am attracted to all things of nature I also learned how to communicate with the Nature beings and how to do a land clearing and how to free those beings because in the past there was some who enslaved them. When I did this clearing at my old home I felt them come to me and hug me with so much love. Glad you are putting out the olive branch and the more love you expand out on to your land and the world the better for all. Love you!

I absolutely fell in love with the views; I can't imagine your excitement at owning such a beautiful piece of land, Eva. I'm so happy for you and Vilk. 🥰
Hi Eva. Isn't it just beautiful to see how animals live in the moment and accept every change? They just go with the flow. It is so refreshing and we can learn a lot from them. And a hug for your dog. ❤ Greetings, Evelyne
All around the world. Your home was under your feet all along. Love that you let the spirits know you were there to live and not destroy the land. Perfect harmony.
I love being Slavic and Baltic. thank you for loving your land and honoring Moist Mother Earth .. Thank you for talking to and honoring the nature spirits on the land ! Congrats
Eva it is good that you are offering to the land spirits! You should make that a regular practice so that you and the land spirits can develop a bond, so you have more an energy of harmony while living there. Having an energy of harmony will make being there feel nicer, and bring powerful protection and good luck based on living there! These things are ancient and highly cross cultural to offer to the land spirits and make them be the friends of the humans living on that land. It is a mutual relationship based on respect and care for one another, both the land spirits and the humans living there!
Your journey of faith, as in not knowing where the next cup of water will come from, is truly inspiring! Wishing you many wondrous discoveries on your path!
You are HOME!!! You look so happy, as if a dream has come true, and it has. Take it slow, savor each moment on the journey to come. Honoring the spirits of Nature is always a good thing to start, continue to make offerings! Whenever I sit by the river in my backyard, I share my "libation" with the forest folk. Good vibes always, your Ohio Dad
Very sweet, Eva. You are bringing a lot of reverence to taking possession of this land. Looks like a special place. After all your wandering you have found a beautiful home.
"Possession of this land" and "amen" in one sentence. The Question was: What makes you a dipshit without telling me you're a dipshit? Muuuricaaa! Land of the dumb^^
All alone? You'll never be alone so long as Vilk is alive! The upside of finding a cabin is that there's sure to be water nearby. Rugged, wild, and undeveloped? That sounds like exactly what you've been looking for! Congratulations on finding your place in your homeland and your happiness.
I am so glad everything feels right. It helps cement that you made the right choice and there are few better feelings than having a place you feel you belong.
I’m so happy you honored the land, the elements and elemental beings and other ethereal inhabitants!!!! Thank you for showing so much respect for our mother and its helpers. It matters
What a beautiful place! I don’t believe in sprits, gods, or mystical energy, but if your actions make you feel more connected to the land, I’m all for it. Enjoy!
You found your special place and called it your home. and that all that matters .you have your peace and have the enjoyment in your life .from what I have seen so far, you have a beautiful place to call home congratulations .
We bought our first home 6 years ago, and 1/3 of our property is woods. We left milk, honey, and apples around 1 tree for the tree spirits and tobacco around the yard for the land spirits. A clear quartz crystal in the little pond for the water spirits and chimes for the air spirits. I'm not sure if they're something that's around, but we wanted to be respectful just in case. You did great.
I’m not spiritual but I have spent a fair bit of time in the wilderness and occasionally you see or hear strange things. I think making an offering to the land is a pretty good idea. Just in case.
What amazing beauty. I can't imagine sitting surrounded by such glorious nature and thinking "this is mine." I can't wait to see what you do with this amazing space. Vilk looks like he is in heaven. I'm so excited for you.
I love that you are making a point to connect spiritually with the land. And using a douser to find water is wonderful. I've used one twice on my properties and have had great wells on both of them. You've got this, best of luck.
You're truly my favorite RUclipsr. You're so sincere and considerate of the world we live in. So remote yet so connected to it. Thank you for your videos! And good luck! Be careful!
Honestly, undeveloped, rugged, wild land is perfect for you! Dont' change a thing (except easier access later). Gives you more to explore and things. Have you thought about installing some trail cams so you can see wildlife that wanders through over time too?
I love that you made an offering to the land and all of it's earthly spirits. My mom was a magical person, she saw beauty in everything around us. Yes, she was an artist and a Kindergarten teacher. We've a cabin in Santa Cruz County, Northern California (Bay Area). My dad built our cabin in the middle of a redwood forest. My mom made our redwood forest a magical wonderland for me and my best friend (bff's for 65 yrs now). Mom showed us were all the fairies homes were. They were inside the hollowed out redwood stumps from a fire over 150 yrs ago. Mom told us the fairies guarded our forest and kept us and all the animals safe. As children, our eye shown from the wonder of it all. We passed her stories down to the next generation. So to me, your offering is absolutely perfect and completely natural. I'm looking forward to this new life journey you're undertaking. Thank you for bringing us with you. As for the Carpathian Mountains, they are the Central focus in many of my fantasy book series. Which makes this even more special to me. ❤❤❤❤❤
@@LiveYourLifeWithJoy Not really more to tell. Each time we visited our cabin my mom would take us out to each fairies home and we would talk to them, tell them we were back and wished beyond hope they would come and visit us. My mom made everything in our beautiful redwood forest feel like magic. She was so creative and very in tuned with nature. Being an artist and a kindergarten teacher her mind was so open to her creative and magical side. Don't get me wrong, my childhood wasn't perfect nor was my mom. But, I do know how blessed I was to have her. She opened our eyes to incredible beauty the surrounded us and encouraged and inspired our imagination. Today I'm 70 and now live full-time at my childhood cabin. I know the fairies are out there keeping, the and all Gods creatures safe. God bless..... 🧚🧚♀️🧚♂️
There’s a video on RUclips of a photographer who caught a fairy by accident on camera. It really is amazing and authentic. It’s in a forest next to a creek.
If you want to make a road, start with a single track trail that you and friends and family blaze and break in over time. When it's time to make a double track, you and friends and family can drive 4x4 trucks along the path over and again to break in the double track road. Then, when it's time to build a road, gravel can be spread along the broken in double track. A solid ten year plan.
@@whitlcj1 you can literally use a decent 4wd to push a double track right from the start provided no trees need clearing or anything, no need to make it a single then double, and if she goes up enough, 10 years is a rather excessive time frame
Ensure you have proper access for wagons, try building any sort of house without being able to get the construction material there easily and you make the whole project ten times harder.
@CLFL14256 it may run through another block of land she dosent have access to? I remember in her last video she said her block is actually multiple separate plots next to each other
Yes, I tend to think animals are more tuned to nature than humans are, and in a few of those scenes it looked like Vilk was meditating, he was so happy.
Eva, funny when you mentioned biting off more than you can chew I was thinking the exact same thing. Then you answered your own question when you stated how happy you are there! I would think you will have a long road ahead to set up your homestead but when you are finally done you will have no regrets and much happiness! Lastly we should all be so lucky to have a Vilk in our lives!!
An advice from a forest specialist. Do not drill holes on the bark of the trees. You create an entrance for all possible fungi, insects or nematodes and you weaken the plant.
So watching this and making offerings to the land like makes me think of druids not knowing a negative way. I respect that and I think this is pretty neat for you Eva!
I have a little piece of land too. I've had it for 8 years and I have fallen in love with every single tree on my land. I love them so much. Be prepared to fall in love even more than you have! I'm not saying it is always easy but worth it.
@@mountains4laura yes u hit the nail on the head ...U never stop finding out things .I collected up acorns last year and scattered them in my land I see lil trees coming thru about 3" high ...just hope the deer 🦌 don't eat them 😬
Just curious, could you use that dirt track that you were camping nearby to drive on? It looked wide enough. Also have you decided on where you’d like to build at yet?! Is it where you were camping? I’m very excited for you Eva!! 🎉
She most likely could drive her 4x4 up there like all the other vehicles that left their tracks on that road, but let's make it seem like an adventure to get to this piece of neatly cut grass that we call wilderness for content. And if you've watched her for a while, you know that she has no history of actually following through with any long term plans. We will not see her build anything. She'll film a few more videos, then abandon the place, then make an emotional, dramatic video about how her priorities have changed, again. Mark my words.
@@andyminsky9435 I’ve been watching her videos since college (about 6 years ago) and I don’t agree. She’s met her goals plenty of times before and of course she’s been distraught when her big goals didn’t turn out. Especially after covid I think a lot of people lives became different and its taking time to find our footing again. If anything I really relate to Eva on not being able to go forward on big dreams and having to pivot. I think she’s been pretty straightforward with her viewers and I appreciate it, although we’re not entitled to know “everything” about her life. Also if you’re so annoyed by what she’s doing then why are you watching?
Im so happy for you. Your land is beautiful and your offering was just what it needed. I never knew Poland was so amazing. My grandparents came from Poland on my father’s side and my mother was born in Germany. Can’t wait for your new motherland journey.
Beautiful! You have treated the area with great respect! I think I have heard of the Carpathian mountains somehow, and not just you. Maybe while I was in Austria in a mountain hutte in 1983?

It's beautiful there and u will be so happy there ...and having given the offerings will let "them" know u will be a great friend and tenant .❤
Eva, this is a brilliant idea for new content! I am obsessed with watching Iranian Nomads (especially a woman called Teyyeba) who always show their Nomadic lifestyles, building homes, how to source water, connecting electricity. how their children are raised, rearing animals and, everything related. This looks an amazing place and I can't wait to follow your journey!
I love your offerings to the land and all that may live there. It is a gift to find and own a Piece of Nature like this. May it bring lots of joy, happiness, experiences and many memories to your Life.
It's good practice to carry a water filtration bottle if you're drinking water from wild sources. There are a lot of nasty things that can live in untreated water, especially from a still source.
Congratulations Eva! Your land is beautiful and comes across as so tranquil! Wish you amazing adventures as you move in permanently and discover all that this beautiful place has to offer!
Might I recommend you leaving blue yarn on several of your trees for the birds this fall to build nests to keep them warm and they have a tendency to like blue and will hang around more
Vilka will probably donate a lot of fur on spring time for the birds. Where I live they don't recommend yarn anymore for the birds. Apparently it can wrap around the baby birds and they have found them example with dead leg because it has lost a blood flow due piece of yarn that well meaning humans have left around.
We had birds that found a piece of steel wool a neighbor was trying to use to block a mouse hole -the birds teased it apart and feathered their nest with it -it was insane
@@halmond8713 I haven't had that problem in the 10 yrs I've lived in rural Texas. We unwind the yarn before putting it out and cut prices about an inch give or take. Even the squirrels use it.
What a contrast between you and me. When I bought the land I settled on 30 years ago, It was high anxiety max! I couldn't help thinking I was an indentured servant for the lender. Your low level nervousness is inspiring, stay that way and your hair will never turn grey. BTW camping on "my land" in Texas will only yield fire ant bites galore!
Beautiful property. It’s amazing how the grass doesn’t grow and doesn’t need to be mowed. If that was my land it would be a jungle in about two months lol. What is the road that runs along that cabin and that you’re right walking on? Can you drive on that and does it go to the main road?

Eva. The extent that you go to, to make these videos, is extraordinary. It must be that you move the camera at least 100 times to set up all the camera angles and the drone shots. I get exhausted when thinking about how hard you work. But, your cinematography efforts pay off, because each and every one of your videos is fascinating. You are the best.
I was thinking the same. Eva makes high quality videos, engaging enough to not need clickbait titles or fake sensationalism. Not enough of that on RUclips.
Eva, that place is a gem! Nevertheless, I am worried will the spirits of the place take your gifts, because you drilled and skrewed a tree! 😢 You almost snapped the drill into the tree... I hope that you and Vilk feel happy in that place (and everywhere else too, of course 😅) Are there so strict restrictions to be in the nature, that it is better to buy your "own" piece of land? I'm from Finland, and planning to escape the winter to southwards soon.
Hello from Georgia USA! Unwanted advice for your tree health. Avoid using screws or nails because the rust can damage the tree. Also, if ever you or anyone ever decides to harvest the tree for lumber, it will dull your saw, be it a chainsaw or mill. Whenever possible, tie signs to the tree with biodegradable rope such as hemp. If you must use a metal fastener, use aluminum nails. It won't rust and hurt the health of the tree and is much more forgiving on saws. I've been watching your channel for a while and I was kind of hoping that you would find a place in the United States, but I'm quite happy that you went home and found such a beautiful place in the mountains. I think you'll be happy there. Wanderlust will probably hit you again and you'll be off on many an adventure! Only now you have a place to go home when the roaming is done. As far as the mountain water goes, as long as it's fast moving it's probably okay. In fact, I would trust it much better than my municipal water supply. 😅. Best of luck in your adventures and I look forward to the next episode.
@@kevindowd31021 The US is a settler colony. It's when foreign invaders, in this case Europeans, move in, kill and displace the original inhabitants (American Indians) and replace them with a new group of people (white people and their black slaves, originally) and create settlements. The US justified doing this by a "law" they created, that says Indians were not Christian; we were therefore sub-human, sav@ages and the whites from Europe, being Christians, were "gods chosen ones". Our lands were declared void of humans, and since we are not human, hold no land title, only the right to live here. This "law" as they call it; is called the doctrine of discovery....It's being upheld by your US supreme court.....Today. They don't teach you this TRUE Indian to European relationship, because they know you wouldn't want to hear it. Seeing the person doing the dowsing for water brought back memories for me. I always heard it called "Witching for water". Rewind back to when I was around 10 yo, my Grandpa was asked to witch for water for some people looking to drill a well. He walked around til he found a willow tree and broke off a forked branch (picture looking kinda like a wish bone) to use. He then proceeded to walk the property and mark spots to drill. After an hour they brought in the drill truck and started. They hit water on the first marked spot after 60 feet. I was a bit of a skeptic until I saw my Grandpa in action. Great video.
Witching for water with metal rods is a standard we use today and it is basic science not magic, wood does not work as it does not react to electromagnetic fields given off by moving water in underground streams, water lines, sewer lines, electrical lines both buried and overhead, cable tv lines, and phone lines, the faster the water is moving the stronger the field.
Hi Eva, it is totally normally a little offering to mother nature as she is the one providing us. This is what we have been taught from our childhood in India, whenever we build something in our purchased land and the ritual is called bhumi (mother earth) pujan(offerings).
The mother earth is so beauty and so are you! For a Finn a like this "property" unigueness, space and tranguility. Maybe tent is not enough in the future, but surely you find solution. That hut or cottage for some renovation or just cozy small new house. You seems to be happy, sort of shining!

You experienced second class treatment in the US? I'm sorry for that. I love Slavic people. Rob in GA, USA.
@@lenkaontherun I'm so sorry you experienced that in the UK. We don't all feel like that here. Some people just aren't very nice people, unfortunately. I'm sorry you didn't get treated how you should when you were in the UK.
Awesome video as always Eva and Vilk. Your land is so beautiful and so unique. Can’t wait to see what kind of home you build for you and Vilk.

cried happy tears for you when i watched your last video. and love watching you settle into its energy. its perfect. love your offering! developing a relationship with the land is how you all thrive.
I love watching your videos and came across your channel 2 months ago. You are such an amazing woman and I love Vilk. Please continue sharing your life journey and may your new property become the home you have been searching for. You are a great example of a brave, strong, loving woman doing what she is called to do.

Love you!

What a stunning place Eva, surrounded with gorgeous trees and calm wind. A place we could a DREAM Land. Have a blessed adventure.
what a beautiful place Ewa :). can't wait to see what you build there in the future :)
I still have a mountain top 2 and 1/4 acre lot no road access in Quebec. Breathe the fresh air of your own being.
Vilk is like, "see that grassy hillside? yeah, it's mine. See those trees? yeah, all mine. See that mountain? yeah, it's mine." He must be so happy!
You and Vilk are at peace here. So happy you found this beautiful place to sooth your soul.
Very sweet, Eva. You are bringing a lot of reverence to taking possession of this land. Looks like a special place. After all your wandering you have found a beautiful home.

Beautiful way of honouring the lands Eva, you and Vilk will be very happy there

Enjoy!
You are not a little-spicious, you are a mystic. Embracing the spirituality that naturally surrounds us.
this process of findimg water is the most fascinating, i have so much respect for the people who can do it
I like how you honored the spirits of that beautiful patch of earth. Looking forward to seeing the hut and some of your neighbours.
Wow I absolutely love that
I’m not spiritual but I have spent a fair bit of time in the wilderness and occasionally you see or hear strange things. I think making an offering to the land is a pretty good idea. Just in case.

Honestly, undeveloped, rugged, wild land is perfect for you! Dont' change a thing (except easier access later). Gives you more to explore and things. Have you thought about installing some trail cams so you can see wildlife that wanders through over time too?
Yes, trail cams with cell sending capability, if she has cell service. It has stopped all trespassing at my place.
Also a Yurt would make a nice home for you.
I would at least mark or seal it with a fence, so trespassers know they are trespassing.
Not too many changes coming but yes trail cams will definitely come in handy ❤
It’s too much land to fence but signs work
You have a spirit like no other, please never let anybody change you

Being from California, I know little of these mountains. But wow! How beautiful is this place. Just speechless. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my gosh I love all of that
May I know more about the fairies please? 🙏
@@whitlcj1 you can literally use a decent 4wd to push a double track right from the start provided no trees need clearing or anything, no need to make it a single then double, and if she goes up enough, 10 years is a rather excessive time frame
what about that track to the shack she was showing?
@@CLFL14256 My thoughts exactly, looks like a road to me
Ensure you have proper access for wagons, try building any sort of house without being able to get the construction material there easily and you make the whole project ten times harder.
@CLFL14256 it may run through another block of land she dosent have access to? I remember in her last video she said her block is actually multiple separate plots next to each other
Vilk seems very relaxed and happy there, given how environmentally aware and sensitive dogs are I'd say that's a great sign.
Not for long. She has already profaned the place with all those rituals. The wicked spirits she has invited will honor her invitation!!!!
@@notabolished1331 what are you talking about?
Yes, I tend to think animals are more tuned to nature than humans are, and in a few of those scenes it looked like Vilk was meditating, he was so happy.
I loved this video! Everything from this beautiful land to Vilk's smile at finding his stick/log to your wonderful offering.

As you are walking down the road to get the water and hanging the sign next to the road, I wonder why your 4x4 could not access this road. ??
13:41 In India ,we also use traditional technique for finding water resources ❤
It's good practice to carry a water filtration bottle if you're drinking water from wild sources. There are a lot of nasty things that can live in untreated water, especially from a still source.
Her production team keeps her stocked with plenty of sparkling wattah.
Mountain wells in central Europe are completely safe, it is not a still water, but a water directly from underground source, cleaner than tap water.

Your new 'PEACE' of the world is GORGEOUS!! Love watching you fall in love with your new home!! ❤

Birds don't build nests in the fall, birds only build nests in the spring to lay eggs in.

I really appreciate that
I was thinking the same.
I hope that you and Vilk feel happy in that place (and everywhere else too, of course 😅)
Are there so strict restrictions to be in the nature, that it is better to buy your "own" piece of land?
I don't understand why anyone would move to a settler colony on purpose.
@@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism what?
So they tell you myths like the "thanksgiving" story; where we felt so blessed for the whites to bring us their god "Jesus" and "save us" that we gave you all our land in thanks.

Although I‘m neither supersticious nor sticious in any way I learned about the power of places I passed. Sometimes I have to stop and stay on one place for a while without knowing why just to take a deep breath and get kinda grounded…
So I appreciate your ceremony for the beings on your land because even if there isn‘t any being or spirit this ceremony or offering always reminds you of the uniqueness of the place and let you be hankful which is at least worth it!❤
Seeing the person doing the dowsing for water brought back memories for me.
