As much as I’ve grown to love this crew, and as much as I love the look of this kitchen, I’m in agreement about the "cookability" of the layout. It’s drop dead gorgeous but not very functional. I’d need some rollerskates to get around from the fridge to the sink to the range and over to the cabinets for pots and pans. Maybe the big island will help as a staging space. I’m just not used to everything spread out when I’m making a meal…don’t hate me for wondering about the whys. I’m very supportive of this project and I thoroughly appreciate everyone involved. Just hoping you don’t have any regrets.

Not functional at all which doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t be able to drain pasta or get things from the fridge without a lot of distance to a sink. Love Mick working with Yannis teaching him how to run the digger... I can tell it's a passion of his. Billy the kitchen is looking amazing... everyone especially Paddy is doing a fabulous job at getting it all put together... can't wait to see the workshop and the doors.

I have always admired Mic’s facility with the digger. It’s almost like it’s an extension of him. Yanis will have to learn that with practice and he surely is enthusiastic about doing so. So exciting to see the kitchen coming together with the admirable craftsmanship of all who are taking part.

A suggestion I hope you don't mind. Between the dining room and the kitchen in the area you are calling the reception area (I think) could be a butlers pantry, it would make serving guests so much easier. Then using the original reception area as the the reception as it will give a grand entrance feel between the library and the chapel.

For the extractor hood You could go straight through to the other side of the wall where you are still working then take the exhaust either up in the wall and out or straight to the external wall

Yannis learning how to use that Digger was fantastic‼️👍🏻 He will master it and being that he is so unstoppable, he will clear up lots of grounds around your properties. I just love Mick, he’s such a kindhearted gentleman. Billy makes me laugh because he has such a great sense of humor😍‼️ Of course that cooker will be used over and over again‼️
