Sound designers/editors and foley artists are geniuses when it comes to making up sounds for things that don’t have any (T-Rex eating another dinosaur, human passing through metal)

Toy Story also has a visual reference to Rexie with Scud. When Woody's string is accidentally pulled and wakes Scud up, and his eye opens and his pupil dilates. If you listen to the director's they say it was an intentional reference to when the flashlight is shined in Rexie's eye in the first Jurassic Park movie.
That is so cool! Really goes to show how commons stuff like that can be used to make epic movies!
