    Been playing around with Midjourney and Stable Diffusion for a couple of weeks now and the Ai just gets better on a daily basis. Ive incorporated Ai with my photoshop skills and getting fantastic results. Now I don't think Ai will ever replace real artist, but I would incurage "artist" to try it out and learn to combine both forms to comeup with even better works of art in your style.

    To put forth an explanation on what would cause 'racism' in the AI generated images; This would be a fault of the training data.
    In order to train the AI it needs reference images, It has a bias when it comes to the quantity of said references.
    Please note that I've only worked on Image Classification Machine Learning Projects and I have not worked on Image Generation Projects but from my general knowledge that seems the most likely culprit.

I haven't had the chance to play with it (broke at the moment), but I can see myself using it to generate some ideas for me to draw off of when I cant think of anything. @@1itemorless It's gonna get worse. This tech isn't meant for you and me. I don't even think the developers get what's going on. You don't need a lot of people in a hi-tech and automated AI world. Every kind of physical labour is being replaced. From brick building to painting. That means the thing that makes us human (our body) is slowly being erased. We are locked inside our offices and houses interacting with the wold through thought - clicking a mouse. I think the self mutilation that is currently pushed (like sex changes for kids) is part of a deep spiritual unease. A realization that our bodies are worth nothing. They are a burden and a limitation. We can be gods. It's strange, like in Genesis the word becomes manifest. I type in a idea and these machines create something in a alternate reality digital reality. And wasn't that the promise in the garden of Eden. "Ye will be like God..."?

    It’s an ego problem more than an economic one. Most artists have their identity and self worth completely tied to their ability to draw, paint, etc. They feel special because they can do something most people can’t, so the fact AI can do what they do in seconds is crushing.

    • @bruh9110
      @bruh9110 Год назад +11

      You are wrong in so many levels. We just love what we do and AI can take that away from us, and if you can't see how then there is no point in arguing with you.

    • @AxiOll
      @AxiOll Год назад +16

      I disagree, if you want to reduce Art to speed and output, even though machines can outperform humans in speed and output in almost every game, and sport, humans still find value, meaning, inspiration and entertainment in witnessing other humans who've pushed their abilities to an advanced or world class level.
      So the main concerns for Artist's I know comes down to the ethics of using Artists work without consent, and the economic impact instant generated images will have in an industry that's already in a race to the bottom to pay Artists as little as possible.
      Regarding 'ego problems' I'd argue that it's the opposite largely on display on social media; self professed "Prompt artists" are so ego driven and fixated on having the identity of "Artist" that they will refuse to share the prompts they used with the public. They feel special because they used a few keywords that other people don't know, and the fact that anybody (or an AI) could use their prompts and replicate what they told the AI to generate in seconds is crushing.

      Half right half wrong the thing I hate by this perspective is that it frame’s being able to make art as something that’s given at birth no one who wasn’t given the ability just can’t, drawing is a skill that anyone can pick up granted there are some that can do it a little batter but that’s with everything. I do agree some people put their identity into being able to draw, but the thing is a lot of people don’t see the work that goes into trying to learn it the hardships the communities they found along the way to make what’s in their head most people don’t see that so most don’t understand how much art means to them and now all of that feels like it was for nothing now that ai is a thing. The art industry is almost purely a passion driven industry, and most people who work their are their because they want to make art. Most don’t make a lot of money so it’s making art that makes them want to work. Now it’s like what’s the point.

    AI art will devalue the work of artists , to the point that human art will be a hobby or something niche , it is naive to think that companies will not use and replace existing labor , AND AI art is still taking its first steps demonstrates absurd results , I do not want to imagine how she will be in five years , because I know that she will be centuries ahead of any artist , but I think that this will cause a kind of stagnation in art , always giving the same results , because each artist brings something unique , and it will be lost , but that 's how things have to be .
