Didn't work for me for some reason, all the tutorials tell me to uncheck read only but its been unchecked the whole time and the game still doesn't switch me over to performance mode but keeps me on DX12

For me the txt file is unchecked, but if you back out the Windows Client folder itself is set to read only and it always resets to that when you try to change it.
Haven't found a fix yet.

When I go into my setting and go to config it dosnt show the windowsclient could you please help me out I think it got deleted somehow
If it got deleted idk what to do but is u accidentally hid it then go to file explorer then click view then show and then click hidden items

What if u have custom stretch resolution and can’t get off performance mode (if I uncheck read only I can’t get custom resolution )
I think you can uncheck read only and switch your rendering mode and then check read only again. And do whatever steps you need to do to get stretched resolution.
