      It covers 'my definition' of remote... but maybe not others. I am still active in my cleaning business when it comes to talking to clients, doing complex bids, etc. So I am not just sending other cleaning business owners or subs to jobs I quoted over the phone. I believe in landing high ticket long term clients, and then subbing it out. :-)

    00:00 🧹 Remote cleaning business allows focusing on business growth rather than cleaning tasks.
    01:22 🚀 Advantages include not having to clean personally, unlimited income potential, and flexibility in scheduling.
    02:05 🛑 Challenges include finding reliable workers and managing potential issues with increased staff.
    02:58 💰 Mistakes include undercharging for services and not selecting the right subcontractors.
    04:33 🤝 Prefer subcontractors who aren't aspiring cleaning business owners to ensure loyalty and longevity.
    05:15 🔍 Commercial clients are preferred due to consistency, higher lifetime value, and longer-term contracts.
    06:09 💼 Although commercial is recommended, success is achievable with other client types by targeting specific needs.

    One of the few motivational gurus I respect is the late Bob Proctor. He started a cleaning business he worked in during his free time. He got so good at sales that he passed out from exhaustion on the street one day, which led him to subing out the work. He would stop by the jobs and encourage the subs.

      @@TheProfessionalCleaner No just came across you at the time of the above comment. His material is burned in my mind but haven't been able to internalize it properly. I know he talked about a burning desire is what separates the person making $12 and hour working their rear end off all of their life and a person that operates a 1 million a year business. What is your advise for overcoming that $12 hour mentality and actually living like a human being should?

    • @TheProfessionalCleaner
      @TheProfessionalCleaner  5 месяцев назад

      I think a burning desire is definitely important. Basically, find your 'why.' What would being a business owner (and the income) mean for you and your family? And let THAT drive you. Being a business owner isn't easy, if it was everyone would do it. I own 3 currently and wouldn't go back to working for someone else unless I had no choice. But the rewards are worth it if you're willing to put in the work. The most successful entrepreneurs are the ones who can communicate their value well to the world, and who just focus on progress over perfection. Those are the keys. Greetings. You have great information here for someone who would like to follow in your footsteps like me. I do have a question regarding the hiring part of this video. You state that you try to hire subs that have no desire to be a business owner. Wouldn't that still mean that these subs you vet are still considered business owners? Please clarify this and how do you go about finding these types of subs. I thank you for your time and wish you continued success!!

    • @TheProfessionalCleaner

      You are correct... subs are their own business owners. But I don't hire other cleaning businesses meaning I want subs who don't "pursue" their own cleaning clients. Basically they are happy just working for others. :-)

    Hello Bethany Jean. I clicked on this vid to actually get some info , as I was kind of hoping one of my adult kids would take an interest. I have a a very very small cleaning business ( owner/operator) for many years. I found, for me, that I did NOT want the position as manager/supervisor …etc.
    and thought maybe my daughter ( has a degree & a lot of biz mgmt experience) would maybe want to start up a remote cleaning biz. But while watching your vid, I discovered that I am a perfect candidate for the contracted cleaner. I have NO desire to start up a full on service and I am a little older and cannot physically do the work daily for 6+hours. I CAN , however, provide extraordinary cleaning services for about 4-5 hours daily.
    My question is do you have information on how to market myself &my skills ( along with my inability to put in long hours at extremely dirty spaces) or point me in the direction of where to find ways to market/ beef up resume, promote ??
    It absolutely isnt that I am opposed to hard gritty work , I have done many challenging cleaning jobs in my time. I just am physically unable to that anymore. And want to be able to always give superb quality work.
    Thank you for all your videos.

    • @TheProfessionalCleaner
      @TheProfessionalCleaner  7 месяцев назад +1

      4-5 hours a day of cleaning sounds like a great schedule! And it's all about building your ideal client profile (ICP), and finding clients who fit within that profile. Then you can work on increasing your rates within that ICP, and build a client base that you love. And look for customers who want repeat cleanings, not one time cleanings. :-) If you didn't yet... watch this video next which discusses this more. :-) ruclips.net/video/-DariD2sCQs/видео.html

    How long should a typical commercial contract be?

    • @TheProfessionalCleaner
      @TheProfessionalCleaner  6 месяцев назад +2

      It really depends on the clients needs, and your goals. I have some smaller office contracts (like a doctors office) that is month to month. So they are committed until the last day of each month, on a rolling cycle. And that contract states that I require 30 days notice if they want to make any changes...like terminate it or even changes to the terms. Then I have more detailed contracts that are annual. I might on occasion sign a 2 year contract if it's a REALLY good deal for me. But typically I don't go longer than 1 year. :-)

    Hello Bethany, my biggest fear is getting clients because English is not my first language and i could be not good at marketing. • @TheProfessionalCleaner

      I would not recommend you look for someone just with telemarketing experience, since they would also need cleaning experience. Anyone who sells cleaning, needs to understand cleaning. • @TheProfessionalCleaner
      @TheProfessionalCleaner  8 месяцев назад +4

      I say yes! You just have to look for value driven clients like I say in the video... since they are far less effected by the economy. IF all of your client base is more price driven right now, and complaining about your prices, then I would encourage you to focus on leveling up your client base to more value driven clientele. :-) This will take some time, but if you never start then you'll always be talking about prices with your clients, which becomes very draining. :-)

    • @TheProfessionalCleaner
      @TheProfessionalCleaner  8 месяцев назад +1

      Some have successfully started cleaning businesses with zero cleaning knowledge, but my take is you will never reach your full potential without you, or someone in your business, understanding cleaning to some extent. But it really depends on the client types you're going after. Ie... I mostly do commercial now and on walk thrus potential clients will tell me why they arent happy with their current cleaning provider. Me being able to speak about how I will fix those issues, or restore certain surfaces, or talk about the cleaning systems I employ... is what lands me those clients much of the time. :-) But some clients just want to know that your staff can do the job, and won't expect you to know much. So it really just depends on the client.
