That's an awesome niche! We will succeed where we are most comfortable, so I love the idea of event cleaning! And nope, starting in residential isn't necessary. You can totally jump right into commercial. It many ways it's easier! :-)

As someone who has acquired degrees where I often don’t feel treated well on the job or even compensated enough, I still don’t have much support from family and associates to transition into a cleaning business. I think certain communities judge you harshly or say cleaning is not prestigious as if I’m failing in life- some would rather see me suffer sitting in an office working long hours. I really have to do what I enjoy and not care about titles or being validated by office jobs at companies or institutions. You are inspiring so many. Thank you! 🥰

And I don't clean these days, as I have hired it out, but even when I did clean I loved this business. We all need to find work that WE enjoy... which doesn't always fit the mold of what others think we should be doing. So keep working towards your goals! I know you'll get there! 🙂

Yep! We have many successful students in the UK. There will be some differences obviously, but the principles we teach are mostly universal. :-)

I don't teach the 'remote cleaning business' model that many do, so I have no issues with cleaners stealing my clients. I look for quality clients who are loyal to me, and quality cleaners who WANT to work for me, because I take care of them. :-) The other way to do it is what many teach, hire other cleaning businesses to clean the jobs you acquire. But that's a recipe for trouble, on so many levels. This is why I teach the system I teach, because it's what leads to long term success. It takes more work up front, but the work is worth it. Trust me! :-)

It's all about finding value driven clients instead of price driven clients... there are TONS of people looking for the cheapest providers, which is fine. But trust me... there are also lots of people seeking quality ... Hi there... it's very similar. In many ways, easier. Typically carpet cleaning can be quoted by the SF, where janitorial shouldn't be. In my brief break away from cleaning I actually worked for a commercial carpet cleaning supply company. I sold Cimex's. But my program is geared more towards general janitorial, although the methods I teach for client acquisition would def work for carpet cleaning too. The biggest difference is less recurrence... meaning people usually need cleaning weekly, every other week, etc. Carpet cleaning is more like every 6 months or every year, maybe longer, depending on the case. So you'd need more clients to keep the income coming in. :-)

In most places it's illegal to put things in mailboxes... but you can leave things hanging on the door knob, or put things in the crack of the door... like flyers, or notes/cards, etc. :-)

Over the phone would be tough IMO... so I would stick to either a professional flyer, or even try hand written notes like I mention in this video. And my other rec... is to network with realtors. :-)

Hi... that's a tough one to make a video on, but basically I: Use Indeed, interview the best prospects, and pay them more than my competitors ever would. But if you are bidding correctly, then you'll be able to do this. Which means they stay with me for a long time. And I give some of them bonuses, usually my employees, but not my subs. :-)

Go for it! Just make sure it BUILDS prospects trust, and doesn't LOSE it. :-)

I make that public to those that ask inside my program, but not here on RUclips. It's just my preference for privacy. :-)

When I did residential I tool a kit from job to job, but the bulk of the products I required the homeowner to buy. In some cases I ensured they always had what I needed on hand, and in some cases I they took care of that well on their own. And now that we only do commercial, I require the business owner to do the same. We create a monthly order, but they pay for it. And this comes down to one simple thing: client communication. When I teach my clients WHY I prefer this, and how it makes no difference to their bottom line in the end, they are more than happy to comply. And just because 'most cleaners' take everything from job to job doesn't make it right, or wrong. Every business is different. But I am all about building the business I want to actually own and run. :-)

That's for every business owner to decide... but paying higher when possible means wayyyyyy less employee turnover, which allows me to focus on more business growth, which ALSO leads to more profit. :-)

Find a building I am interested in... then Google the Facilities Manager for that building or entity (like city, county, etc). Then try to set up a meeting. Usually they have longer contracts so it could be a while before they say I can put a bid in, but I just be sure to stay in contact with them, and a couple months before their existing contract ends I start the process of asking if I can bid the building. The contracts can be on the complex side, so you want plenty of time to go back and forth with them. :-) If you can earn their trust and get one building, you'll usually have the opportunity to get many more.

There's a website that just shows you government buildings in need of your services. Once you do a application and get approved you can then start contacting those government buildings I'm need of cleaning services 😊😊

Nope... that's not to say I think they are a bad idea, but it needs to be well executed. A sloppy website will do wayyyy more harm than good. So keep it clean and very simple if you do build one. One of the best examples... google.com. Its incredibly minimal, and easy to navigate.
