Clifton Johnson, Photography Impresario by Bill Hosley 2021

This is a shortened version of the zoom webinar hosted by Porter Phelps Huntington Museum in Hadley Mass on July 28, 2021. The program titled "Clifton Johnson: A Search for the Heart of America" by William Hosley - [e-mail]. It represents a unique chapter in the early history of photography. Johnson was a writer & documentarian whose work took him all over the US and across the Atlantic - but is especially rich in material from western Mass - the Pioneer Valley, the Highland Hill towns and the Quabbin towns. So many images of a world we have lost.
